Hopefully just a 10mi day with few hills. We didn’t sleep well last night.
A long 13 miles planned. - turned out to be 15.1. Part of the trail is called the knee wrecker so I need to be careful. DL not feeling well today so he is taking a bus or taxi and we’ll meet up later.
Heading out for a short 7.5 miles today (hopefully). A few pics from Logrono
Short 8.2 mile day. I’ve never been so thrilled to get to our place for tonight in Navarette. I could sleep for 24 hours.
Burgos is one of the larger cities in Spain that is along the Camino route. We accelerated our plan by 2 days and bussed here - so that we could take our rest days sooner. Visited the gorgeous, gothicOkumaya devam et
Second day resting in Burgos. A few areas around town that we visited.
Killing time while we rest up. Burgos is lively on the weekends and there was a flower expo as well. Also met up with Steve and Helene for a few days, including dinner, lots of vino, and a bdayOkumaya devam et
We stayed and visited a few sites in the small town of Astorga, including the Palacio de Gaudi that was supposed to be built and used as the Bishops Palace. Instead it is now the Museo de Caminos.Okumaya devam et
Time to eat, drink, and be merry. We backtracked to Leon to start walking again. I never said Dawsons way was the best way… 🤣🤣
