I'm surprised that there are still such crowds in Paris in October. I wonder whether that's typical for this time of year, or whether folks postponed travels to Paris until the Olympics were over, or whether this is part of what's being called "revenge travel" after Covid confinement. Traveler That’s a good question. We didn’t ask our friends if the tourism was normal for this time of year. We do know that there are more tourists each year and what we see in Paris may have been people trying to avoid excessive tourists by traveling during the shoulder seasons. If so, they’ve defeated their purpose by making the shoulder seasons too crowded just like the high season,
