Amsterdam

The house was so noisy all night.
At 4am outside our door I heard a woman's voice saying something about "you kissed me". I didn't realize Will was also awake until his head shot up to look and me with an :O expression.
Somebody obviously had a one night stand hahahah
So when we woke up to have Breakfast we walked in on our host sleeping on the couch but then on a mattress on the floor was a boy and girl. The girl was naked lol.
Her friend appeared from another room and tried to wake her up. The friend realized she couldn't remember where she had left her bicycle 😂
We just sat awkwardly in the corner watching the very awkward 'morning after' events take place.
The passed out girl rolled over and ... hello boobies.
Wow what a morning.
I went to return the keys to the host but the boy and girl appeared to be going at it so I just texted the host to tell him where to find them in another room 😂😂
Super unprofessional but very funny.
When Will was on the loo the naked girl knocked on the door wrapped in the bed sheet hahah
I will be mentioning it's not a child friendly Bnb on the website hahahah
We walked to the station - we have to start taking note of the sun positioning.
We keep realizing far too late that we are walking in the blistering sun but often the other side of the road is shaded.
We bought tickets to AMSTERDAM WOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
We got Starbucks and waited on our platform. When ever I enter a train I have to remove my bags off my back cause otherwise I knock people out with my sleepingbag.
So keen for Amsterdam. It's the first city in a while that i actually have a 'to do' list for. Belgium as a whole and the last 2 Holland cities where not previously on the schedule.
Speaking of not sticking to the schedule..
Our train stopped the stop before we were meant to get off and there was a very long Dutch announcement. The whole cabin let out a huge sigh.
We obviously had no idea what was said so we listened in on someone translating for us.
Basically someone had been hit by a train so the train had been cancelled. We had to get off and come up with a plan B.
Lucky for us the whole train was in the same situation so we just followed them.
We had 2 options get a bus or do a loop on the train.
We opted for the train and stayed near a nice American couple who were stranded too.
It took an extra 1.5 hours and we had to swap trains again. The trains were so hot and cramped because the first one we had to get was just a suburban train not really equipped to deal with 100 people suitcases.
Lucky we followed everyone because Will must have misheard when to get off because if it weren't for everyone else changing over we would have gone another 3 stations along lol.
We waited for20 mins on a platform before getting on the final train. I could feel my skin burning.
We patted a dog on the train :)
We finally arrived our hostel is literally next door to the station 🙌🏼
It was 2pm and checkin wasn't until 3pm so we hung around and looked at maps, semi planning the next few days.
Righto, everything from here on out has been written the day after.
VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED. You're not going to like it. Like, reallllllly not going to like it.
We went to central, found food and went to the sex museum as we walked past it. 5€ each - bargain! We got proper tickets I can staple in too Haha
It was display after display of rudey nudey photos with the caption "FOR PRIVATE USE" hahahah not so vary private now. 😑
God some people have revolting genitals.
I got a picture with a giant penis.
Will has super hero speed eyes - I hadn't finished looking at one wall and he had finished the whole floor.
Boy got game hahah. I'm such a rookie.
The best parts by far where the moving statues.
The best 2 were a lady jacking off a man and a man creeping out and flashing his Willy then going back into the shadows haha.
Lots of statues and all sorts of phallic type items.
We tried to find red the light district but it's surprisingly hard.
On our travels we bought some magic truffles. We got the lowest effect level. I'm still undecided but I will probablt take the plunge. The only place in the world is even consider it is Amsterdam. Quite literally every single person here has done it and not died so I should be fine lol.
We kept walking around getting our bearings.
We bought a pre rolled joint at a coffee shop and smoked it by the canal with everyone else.
I was super happy hahah we didn't finish it though - take it slow.
We then went and got Will a beer. I didn't want to drink and I was getting the munchies so Will sent me to get a waffle. I nearly died when she told me the price. I picked one and she wrapped it up beautifully - 10 euros for a waffle!!! I must have had a look of horror on my face because she dropped it down to 9 without me saying anything.
To be fair it was damn delicious, but hooley dooley. I must remember to check.
I also went and looked shirts in a souvenir shop.
I had a Coke while Will had another beer. Such a rip off too! We moved on.
I asked about 5 different people how to get to the red light district.
FOUND IT 💃🏻
Hehe it's so exciting! It's such a novelty experience.
Because it's still daylight not many girls were out so we sat at a cafe and talked to the 2 people next to us. One was from the the Netherlands and wrote down some bars etc for us to see. The lady was a stereotypical Russian. I love the canals. It's exactly what I pictured.
The girls starting to come out so we went walking.
We came across a sex show so we decided to go to that first then look at the girls.
I HAD SUCH A GOOD TIME.
It was just so funny and surreal to be watching these people so these things in a public space. It was really expensive but you have to do it.
I kept imagining mum standing outside when she came though 😂😂😂 classic Gaylene.
Will didn't like it as much as me because he said it was really very tame compared to the Thailand one he saw.
With all my heart I mean it.... these girls could not dance.
The acts were as follows:
Act 1 - a danced, got naked then pulled a bunch of beads out of her vagina.
Act 2 - a danced for naked then used a dildo
Act 3 - a man and woman did the most choreographed sex routine. Let's be real. His balls bouncing was a little confronting. 😂
You could tell they do it everyday it was like second nature.
Act 4 - a lady asked for a volunteer from the audience.
The man had to lie on the floor with his shirt off.
She danced, got naked, put a texts in her vagina then wrote "dick" on his chest. Classic party trick..
Act 5 - a lady doing a pole dance routine. She actually had talent. I have never seen a pole routine where I've been impressed. Normally it's all just flexibility- bore snore, but this chick had some intense core strength. She was a legitimate act.
Act 6: it was a stripper man. He asked for volunteers and they stripped him.
He grabbed one girl out of the blue and started humping her like a jack rabbit. I laughed so embarrassingly loudly it was just so unexpected. The girls face was priceless. There was one whore volunteer who was wayyyy too touchy and into it lol. It's suppose to be funny not arousing.
Act 7: another sex act. This was more foreplay based though. They weren't as engaging. The girl was half decent though.
Act 8: a chick who looked so unbelievably bored just walked around the stage and really didn't do much other than run a dildo thing against her face to an 'erotic' song.
The acts then began to repeat which was our cue to leave. I can't imagine having to have stage sex 6 times a night every damn night. I thought maybe the same act every night but not the same act to repeat itself over a 5 hour period -.- no wonder they looked bored.
Either way I can certainly tick that off the bucket list.
We went looking at girls. Some windows were suspiciously empty but lights were on. Someone was getting some in the back rooms I think hehehe.
We had odd burger shaped kebabs then started our journey home - around 1am.
Waled to station - it was nearly the last one so we were lucky!
Hotel was still open too, phew!
2 other people have joined our room so we have to share :(
Saw space cake and brownies today, will probably try some of them too.
For all the things we did today, we weren't asked i.d once.
I'm keen for a magnet.
Amsterdam is going to be so expensive - so many fun things to do :)
Keen for tomorrow's activities
Forgot to add - Will ordered chips but you had to buy something off the menu to get chips so I got the soup of the day.
It was purposely cold, potato and leek.
They ended up not charging us cause I hardly touched it and they felt bad making us get it.
That was a small win.Baca selengkapnya

Viewers discretion advised.
Though not nearly as bad as yesterday hahah.
Gooooood sleep hahahah
We both had showers and are now doing washing. Unfortunately we are wasting half the day with it. Our washing was an hour and now we are waiting another hour for the dryer -.- I thought it would have been more industrial strength and been quicker like the one at the laundromat :( we will have to do Anne Franks house tomorrow but we will still definitely doing 'body works'
We ate our soup for brunch and had to get help with the dryer. At first I thought we were retarded but it was the machine not us - 😏
We took our clothes out early - they were steaming hot, literally. We had to fan each item for a long while. They came out wetter than they went in once the steam turned back to water.
We have layed them out every where over our section of the room.
We bought our body works ticket at reception then FINALLY were on our way.
Our ticket read it's best to visit after 4pm - so it turned out it didn't matter that we wasted half the day doing washing. Woot. We decided to eat first - well Will did. He eats so much more than me. Lol
His burger was expensive as all hell. He hadn't told me the actual price yet. He said 31€, I lost my shit and now he suddenly can't remember.
I think to make me less cross he let me look at shirts in a shop we walked ages to find.
I can't decide if I want a jumper or a shirt.
And which shirt? There are 3 I love.
Also cannibus socks as a novelty.
I also need to buy a hat - but not an Amsterdam one - That seems excessive haha I'll wait for the next city so it says something different.
We walked in the 30 degree weather to the palace.
Turns out we had already walked past it serval time but didn't realize because its dirty building that looks like a crappy Gringotts bank.
Went to body world.
It was a 6 level exhibition starting from the top.
body world - the happy project - is an museum that uses real corpses that have been donated, to demonstrate how things affect the body and what happiness can do for your body. It uses layman terms to show a healthy and unhealthy body and how it works.
The aim is for more happy, healthy bodies.
The top floor started with the brain and is the organ that freaks me out the most. We understand so little about it and it looks like cat food. How can my whole person be contained in that little pile of rubber mush.
Hearts freak me out too. It alone decides if we are considered dead or alive.
Of all 6 levels one of the first displays I found to be the most confronting.
It was a mans head completely cut in half.
I wasn't confronted by the gore but because I can see his identity. Someone could recognize him. I can see him as the person he was.
He was the only exhibit where I thought I was intruding on him.
The other fleshy muscular ones were less personal but still really cool! We are so intricately designed.
The blood vessels were great too.
The museum has displays where you could participate so I rode on a bike where it talked about chemical endorphins when you exercise, a swing set, we took our blood pressure and a digital reader studies our faces to determine our emotions. - both have good blood pressure.
The reproductive section was interesting too. It had a big sign reminding guests that the models pre consented to their intimate positioning.
The fetus developments were really sad. I think you can abort up into you are 20 weeks pregnant. The size the baby was at that stage was so clear; It's a person by then.
What staggered me is when you are presented with facts about how many sperms in a mans ejaculation and the frequency of other things yada yada.
The chance of my specific sperm and egg to be the ones that meet are just so so so damn small it's amazing and blows my brains off.
One small insignificant change and I wouldn't be here.
At the end there were tips from people over 100 on how to have a good life and cards that you got from a small side room with a suggestion on adding happiness to your life such as take a different route to work or cook a recipe you have never tried before. It was great.
We then went and bought a brownie each and ate it by the canal. We got swooped by this phyco albatross bird thing. It also kept attacking it's reflection on an expensive car haha.
We then spontaneously went to the prostitution museum which was surprisingly good to the point I'd recommend it.
Inside was how it was when it was a working place wth all the girls private rooms and sections. It also had up honest facts people have about prostitutes such as how many men a night/week. How much does it cost, can you say No etc etc which was interesting.
It also had the laws explain in basic terms which was easy to understand.
The rent of the room is very expensive and they work very hard in the red light districts to ensure people are there by choice and not by force.
They have interviews and checks to monitor this as best they can.
It also highlighted the dangers of prostitution and had a memorial for the murdered girls.
It had a section of items left behind -SOMEONE LEFT THEIR DENTURES HAHAHAH
All round - an engaging museum.
We then went to eat Chinese for dinner - we both were thinking our brownies must have been very weak but then after we both had a few spring rolls, it came into effect.
The oyster sauce on the chicken cashew was so gross.
I enjoyed the fried rice only because I was craving it snd not because it was very good :( the service was so quick it was almost too quick for comfort.
Like, are you sure that was enough time to cook my food?
We were both a little tied so we headed home - an uneventful journey - we have spent the last few hours happily lying down in bed a bit buzzed. I've written in my book journal and done my fb photo upload.
Our dorm mates just came home - poo.
I feel I am going to sleep so well.
Keen for tomorrow! So many more things to do but we are smashing through them pretty well!!
Again, sorry mum. Hahahahah ❤️😘
I still can't decide if I want an Amsterdam shirt or jumper.Baca selengkapnya

We are quite honestly considering not answering the phone to the Pickering's anymore.
Helen called this morning to tell us Grandad has had a stroke.
We are the only grandchildren to be told until they know more facts. Jess obviously doesn't need the stress and Alecia is due in 3 weeks.
From what we have been told though - he is conscious, just very confused.
We will know more soon.
We are both very anxious to hear news but are hopeful because at this point; he is alive 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
We went to the cafe across form our hostel hotel and had a decent meal.
Because it was around midday we had burgers - it not only came with chips BUT ALSO WITH SALAD 😍😍😍I miss vitamins.
The daily William poo meant we went back into the hostel for about an hour before he decided "it's just not ready" and we finally left.
We bought Van Gogh museum tickets at reception because Anne Frank apparently has a big line and it's best to book online. It I just wanted to leave the damn hostel already so that has been postponed again lol.
We had to pick a time to go to the museum- 4pm was the earliest time available.
We went to central. I really wanted to use the train tickets we bought yesterday but never scanned but the honest citizens that we are - we just bought new one. Barriers were again open today -.-
We would save 12€ a day if we just didn't buy them. I'm sure a lot of people probably don't lol.
We walked and walked and walked and are now siting in a park - it's 3:20pm it's beautiful here. I really like Willow trees.
We went over early and walked past the I AMSTERDAM sign and through their main museum - have to leave something uncompleted for next time haha.
They let us in early and we went straight to the gift show. You could tell the intended market was for 50+ lol I do think they have missed a real money making opportunity by not selling ears. it could be a cute little stress ball?
It had 4 floors all up I think.
I was actually surprised by how many of his paintings I actually liked and would put in my house. Fame doesn't always mean talent.
I liked his bold colours and strong lines.
The main famous ones we saw were his self portrait, the potato eaters, the bedroom, and he blossom tree one - find real name. But obviously many more were also recognizable.
It had a lot of details about the man himself and time lines relating to his life.
I got in trouble for taking photos but there was no signs and I didn't have flash on so no dramas.
I liked his drawings too. I don't know, I just really liked the artworks.
The places downfall was the amount of people and layout. I feel there was an unnecessary amount of space between artworks.
Wills input " it wasn't the best but I'm glad we saw it"
We got Will some food and now we are back in the park doing nothing.
We had a snooze and then walked back.
Will had a quick out loud worry about money.
I think we are doing ok, we just need to not eat so much. Specifically, William needs to cut down 5 meals to 3. Lol
It will be so good once we get back to the balkans.
But as I said from the beginning, I'd rather come home early because we ran out of money than not see or do anything but stay here the full year.
I was scouted potential magnet/shirt shops. Tomorrow Will is meeting up with his friend, Tom. When we part ways I'm thinking that's when I'll go get my souvenirs so I'm not pressured to rush the decision lol.
Will had another poo saga so we waited at reception because he would prefer to poo there rather than our room because the toilet echoes. He is still waiting for the one from this morning to come... honestly he is ridiculous.
We played a game of Jenga and Will one by one tile. If I had gotten it out successfully it would have been a perfect game. - meaning the game cannot continue without failure. It reached its end potential.
We went out and had Italian nearish to the hotel.
It was cheap.
Walked home and played another game of Jenga. I won this time :)
We watched a Eddie Griffin comedy show on the computer and are just relaxing. 👍🏼

9:45 wake up 😒
I cleaned the room a little cause our stuff had started to spread.
We went to central station - we bought new tickets again and again, the gates were all open -.-
I was staring to have hunger pains so we went to a cafe for brunch. I had a club sandwich and it was truly horrendous. Worst I have even had. No sauce, dead egg... well dead everything really 😒
At least we got a decent sized juice today.
Getting quickly over the 200ml Coke bottles and no tap water 😞😞😞😞😞 all I wanted was water this morning but nooooo tap water is an impossible task...
We then went to meet up with Wills tafe friend, Tom to watch State of Origin in a pub.
The atmosphere was awesome! It was full to bursting with Aussies haha.
It also was selling VB and XXXX Gold.
The game was good. At half time I went out and bought, 2 magnets, a shirt and socks and still came in well under budget.
I bought a men's shirt because the cut on the woman's was so stupid. As the sizes went up only the head and shoulders got bigger.
Nobody has such broad shoulders with such a flat stomach.
A "Netherlands" magnet simply does not exist. You can only get Holland.
I'm annoyed.
After I got back the game got crap and we ended up losing :( hopefully we win game 3 and get the series. Im not hopeful though lol.
We then went walking to Anne Franks house - the line was outrageous. We forgot to book tickets - we left and hopefully we remember to pre book for another day.
We didn't want to wait 3 hours just to get into a cramped room.
We both needed to pee - Will used a public urinal next to a canal - they are so bizarre and then we went to a cafe for me to use the toilet there. Will got a cappuccino just so I could.
We then asked for directions on where to buy stamps - bought them and FINALLY posted the postcards to baba Penka and Nana.
We walked home, caught train and are now lying down in our room.
I was sweating so much my armpits were saturated haha.
Eventually Will went out to meet up with Tom for a pub crawl.
And least he can reuse the train ticket because it's the same day 👊🏽
So strange thing happened..
I decided to go get something from the vending machine.
When I came back up I couldn't get in the door. At first i thought I got the room wrong but no, after checking each detail and scenario 10 times I accepted the fact I was locked out 😒
I went back down to reception and told them my story and said the key didn't work then told them my room number.
Reception dude was pretty confused by the situation because my key wasn't for my room.
Hence why is wasn't working......
He then made it my room and the problem was solved.
The only explanation I can think of is that I was using a cleaners key they left in the light switch thing and then they got muddled.
It was odd and greatly annoying though. Going to reception is actually quite the journey. We are at the very end of a tremendously long corridor on the fifth floor.
I looked up Anne frank tickets.... yeah it's not gonna happen lol.
All booked out and only other option is waiting in a 2hour line Will is unwilling to do.
We bought inappropriate postcards for Ashley and Tom Carnell today. We have leftover stamps too. Woot.
Forgot to add earlier.. I had this conversation today at the supermarket
Me: " hi, do you sell stamps for like letters and postcards?"
Worker: " yes... for a cat? *points at cat food*
.... 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
I have watched Snow White the cartoon and Ben Hur tonight.
No news of grandad. I had anxiety coming back to the hostel today because without wifi we are blissful ignorant.
I was scared of the message that might be waiting for us.
There was nothing.
No news is good news for now.Baca selengkapnya

We got woken up to the roaring building alarm telling everyone to evacuate the building.
*grumble grumble*
After the fire in London recently I was anxious to get out straight away but classic William DORDLED out of bed and into the toilet while the whole building is screaming NEE NOR NEE NOR.
I stood by the door stuck between 2 impulses. One to run and one to wait for my idiot.
Our room mates had long gone by now.
He finally finished his 30 second wee and I went into the corridor which was packed.
Story goes it was a false alarm but still, could not believe his lack of urgency. Especially after last week. I have no desire to die in a building fire.
I snoozed for another 20 before starting to pack.
I think I need a new toothbrush. My teeth still feel furry after brushing.
Will has a very sad tummy :( has done for days. it's really awkward listening in to such private business but the toilet echoes 🤣
We checked out with 3 keys - either our room mates left one of theres behind or my theory about be cleaner from last night is spot on.
We went to central, Wills tummy needed food so we stopped in at the first thing we saw - Burger King because Will was getting pretty desperate for pain relief.
He slowly nibbled on a cheese burger and I tried their big mac version, King Mac lol.
Doesn't even come close.
We then walked the terribly long 1.7km journey to our house boat.
Ok so it's not that far but with my big bags, 100m is too far lol.
We found the boat relatively easily.
Our front door is so tiny!!! Because it leads to the bottom of the boat. Watching Will get in was quite funny.
I went first, then the bags then him.
It only came up to my hips so he had to practically fold in half hahah
The inside is awesome though!!! Love it! We have aircon and a tv so we are set for our planned lazy day.👍🏼
Nap time ✌🏼
Woke up to the sound of rain 😍
A massive storm soon came though. I loved it! I sat on a fluffy mat and looked out the little circle window. If Amsterdam floods the best place to be is on a boat 💪🏻
It went for ages and the lightning from outside lit up our little space.
So cozy :)
In our welcome booklet thing it says there is a mini fridge and all drinks are free... we can't seem to find it though 🤔🤔
We have no intentions of going out into the storm so we have decided to try using deliveroo.
We have order pasta and pizza. I've put in the instructions to not enter the boat and I'll go upstairs when the app tells me they are on their way. 👍🏼
We are watching the soccer at the moment.
Cameroon Vs Australia. It took me a good solid 15 minutes to realize it wasn't in English.
Our food was eh really hahah we are having such bad luck.
At least it didn't break the bank.
We went out to the supermarket. On the way I pet a cat 😍😍😍😍😍 beautiful baby rubbed up against my leg.
I liked the walk to the supermarket. It was more suburban and you got to see where people who live in Amsterdam actually live.
They have this big beautiful weed growing everywhere up their houses. It's actually quite a large flower.
We bought bread and filling to make sandwiches to have for lunch tomorrow. We might go see some windmills. You shouldn't go to Holland and not see a windmill.
Walked back. I've had a bowl of coco oops and we are watching the Telly.
The room temperature is just right 👌🏻Baca selengkapnya

Thus far this has been a wasteful and yet wonderful day. It's 6pm and we haven't left the boat yet.
Woke up around noon. Went to organised a bowl of cereal for some coco pops for us both but when I took the bowl off the rack it's unbalanced the cutlery which then fell off, slid down the curvature of the boat and I got stabbed in the foot. Lucky it was butter knife or it would have pierced me for sure. This version of events just hurt a lot!
No cut so happy with that.
The coco pops were so good. Didn't realize how much i like coco pops until be had then at the hostel in Bruges.
I had a mid afternoon nap which took me all the way through until 5pm hahaha.
I think Will was on his phone the whole time.
Before my nap we tried to make sandwiches but the bread was some multigrain vegan free rubbish. Will finished his first sandwich but couldn't finish mine for me. He touched the meat and was horrified by its texture because it was raw. We had a heated discussion over how I had just poisoned him 😂😂😂😂 then I googled the name on the wrapper - it's meant to be raw- which was my assumption - and apparently it's traditionally ox meat. Not sure if our batch was though.
The second sandwich was put in the bin.
Now after my nap, I'm writing this while sitting on the deck of the boat waiting for our Indian deliveroo person.
Yesterday just went so well we thought we would do it again.
The Indian was good. We got some share deal which ended up working out well.
I'm trying to organize Denmark and Norway it's so stressful because I'm waiting for people to reply. We have finalized meeting dates with both danish groups and Randi has offer accommodation in Norway woohoo!
Julie is also trying to get us free ferry tickets to get from the top of Denmark to Norway but and while that is great I still don't yet know what ports I also need to get to and from.
Found out Laura is in Amsterdam lol so we are going to meet her tomorrow before getting on the train.
It's going to be a massive Ukutula reunion week lol.
I feel like we haven't properly done Holland having not seen a windmill lol. Except the boring white ones we saw which we also have so it's not as exciting.
On our final night we celebrated with a final joint hehe sorry mum.
I don't want to pack. Our stuff is everywhere lol
Should shower... won't have opportunity for 2 days but i really cbf right now lolBaca selengkapnya

Did not want to pack.
Was so toasty In my bed.
Will showered first so I got an extra 10 minutes until it was my turn.
We have run out of soap again. At least we finished it this time rather than lost it
Packed. I should put my sleeping bag 'away away' into my bag but naaaa so it's hanging off the side still and people will just have to deal with getting knocked with it all day haha.
We walked to the McDonalds at central to meet Laura. Our little reunion started at 11:30 and we split around 3.
It was so good to see her
Background info: I met Laura at Ukutula in South Africa. She is In her 30's from Ireland, so naturally likes a drink.
We had such a tight cuddle.
I've just realized I never got a photo of me wearing big clogs. They have a few random sets in the street for people to stand in.
Devo.
We went to the terrible place that sold me my club sandwich because f walking around the city with our bags.
I got the tomato soup this time and it was so good. Adding cheese to it takes it up a notch.
We chatted about everything and anything really. The streets were really loud so sometimes it was hard to hear her but I had a great time and it was a great way to kill 3 hours. She said we can stay with her in Ireland too 💪🏻woo!
We then just went straight to the station and thought we would be productive and find out what platform we needed to be at even though we were 1.5 hours early.
The lady told us 11b but also said that our tickets must be printed out and sent us to the service desk section. They have a free printing book that prints your ticket when you enter your reservation number - FREE - how strange and wonderful 🤔
We then went and sat on the platform. I then went down and bought Will a small sandwich.
30 mins til our first train comes. This is going to be quite the journey. 😓
3 hours on, half hour off, 2 hours on, 2 hours off 7 hours on and then a 5 hour wait for our Bnb to be ready. Fml.
I'm pleased to report we did see some windmills. 🕺🏿💃🏻
I feel more accomplished now. And we did see the front of Anne Franks house... when we visit castles we don't go inside and still consider that as being 'done' ...
I'll give myself a half point. I still saw the house. It counts for something; though, I'm sure it looks very different now with all the renovations.
We didn't know if we had assigned seats or not so we sat where we felt like it. No one has said anything.
The 5 windmills were cute. 2 loner ones and a group of 3 later on :)
The country side is nice.
I would like to do the Netherlands again, but in a car.
There is a lot of beauty here.
I checked my maps every 30 seconds waiting to cross the border into Germany.
MADE IT 🇩🇪!!
I went to the loo and we shouldn't be worried about being In the wrong seat - this man was on the floor sculling beers 🤙🏿
If he gets approved, we will.
The toilets smell like piss.
At one stop we had a 10 minute delay. I thought I was so smart and hopped of the train for 5 seconds so that i could say I had properly set foot in Germany.
I went back and bragged to a Will and he laughed at me for being a retard.
He reminded me we were getting out at Hamburg.....
shut up will.
Made it to our changeover.
There was an American dad on the platform in the most stereotypical 45-60 year old man clothing.
He had the full get-up.
It started with the brown shoes with pull up socks.
3/4 jeans held up by a belt with a striped pattern polo.
Every father owns this outfit. Trevor Dowse included.
It was splendid 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Our train was 15 mins late and I was so cold.
I was doing my leg shake thing and the man next to me asked if I could stop wiggling hahahah
It took so much concentration not to do it.
We are on the train now.
2 hours to go until Hamburg 👍🏼
I saw a wild deer and I'm pretty excited about it. It was leaping 😍
We are really hungry so we bought a baguette from the shop.
There is a dog on the train. 😍😍😍😍
Got off at Hamburg. We managed to find the only McDonald on earth without free wifi -.- I wanted to upload my Snapchat story. It's a good one today lol.
At McDonald's the best thing happened and had brought light to my life......
A random Asian decent man, 20's walked up to 2 ladies and pointed at their food and then walked off... he walked past another guy eating and said something to him and began pointing at his food too. I don't know what was said but if I could guess it was something like
" are you going to eat that"
"Yes"
"Can I have it?"
"No"
Repeat several times..
The man just stood there for a solid 2 minutes just pointing at the food in silence. He then started the back and forth response thing again.
THEN HE STOLE THE FOOD AND WALKED OFF HAHAHahhahaha
The guys face was the most taken aback, confronted and confused I have ever seen.
He was like what the crap just happened.
Just before, you could sense the asians end game so I set up my camera and got a photo of him mid- pinching it. Hahahahaha it was honestly so funny.
The guy sat their for a few minutes in shock.
We think it's possible the Asian might have a mental disability. He just seemed odd and so were his actions lol.
Will tried a German McDonald's burger. He is more adventurous that me and tries a different one each country.
The view of the station from Maccas was pretty nice- lots of neon signs glowing in the dark.
We went to our platform early to be safe and then got on the train when it turned up.
We have designated seats this time. We got a 4 seater to ourself so we are pretty happy.
Not happy about being in a sitting position but we will push through.
Wills patience has been extra good today. No complaints or huffing and puffing haha.
My phone died which was going to cause us real problems when trying to find our Bnb but the lady across from us plugged hers in on the ceiling. Silly me didn't look there. Crisis averted ✌🏼
Some annoying humans on our train are already asleep. WE HAVE BEEN ON FOR ALL OF 20 MINUTES.
I hate the Trevor Dowse sleepers of the world. Of all skills to pass down genetically, that would have been a good one.
I'm currently listening to Harry Potter through my headphone so fingers crossed I get some sleep if only a little bit.
I need enough to get me through a 3km walk and until check in at 12.
I'm excited for Denmark. What a random place to go. 🇩🇰Baca selengkapnya

Oh send help.
We are so tired.
I folded myself into a ball to sleep on the train which has left my neck in a bit of a neck crink. I went to "sleep" around 2am.
When I stirred at 5, you could tell Will hadn't sept much either.
We spent the last hour wishing we could just slip into a coma and not get off the train.
We got off the train and I got a pasta that after one bite went in the bin 😩
We just sat there in silence for a long while until we tried finding food again.
We found a baguette.
We then started the 3.7km walk to the house with the intentions of stopping several times to waste time.
When we walked out of the station there was this massive theme park called Trivoli. Stupid William. Why cant he like rides 😩😩😩😩😩😩
The city was quite empty and clean. It was about 7:30 on a Sunday so maybe everyone sleeps in.
We walked walked walked and found a park where we decided to waste time where we fed some ducks! 🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆
I had to walk a bit up to get their attention then slowly threw bread in the direction towards us to make them swim down to our bench.
We gave them about half a loaf the fat heads. They were loving it.
I tried to feed the ones doing a crappy job racing for food separately, so they didn't miss out 😍
We then lay down for a nap. Me on the grass and Will on the bench. I did get some sleep but only very very minimal.
I WAS SO COLD.
This is not summer.
FREEEEEEEZZZZINNNGGGG.
I was wearing my poof jacket and wind breaker AND borrowed Wills warmer jumper and was still shivering. He thought I looked ridiculous so he took a photo as we carried on our journey looking for our place.
It was easy enough to find.
Only problem was we were still an hour early... so we just sat on the side of the road.
We took turns walking up the street to amuse ourselves.
The sky started to spit. *mumble groan* lucky for my waterproof jacket lol.
Our host, Mark, turned up at 11:30 and let us drop our bags off. While he got our room ready.
We went and bought cereal. Will needed to poop so we went back to the apartment and I had a bowl of coco pops 🤗
Our room was finally ready 😭😭😭🙌🏼😭😭🙌🏼😭🙌🏼 🎉
Will knocked out pretty much straight away.
I did final organizing for our free ferry ride and organised a lift at our next hosts house. We then both slept through until 8pm. Heheh we were tired.
We have gone out in search of Thai food for Will. 2km later, it wasn't open -.-
We walked back to a supermarket to get me a drink and he is now getting a kebab.
This party bus has been going up and down the street absolutely pumping music. They are all in sailor hats and looks like they are having the best time hah they are so drunk. Will reckons locals must hate the buses cause they are just so so so so so loud. Louder than a club and just playing the music into the city. I tried to film them but I missed it :( I'm sure there will be a next time lol.
We walked home and Will is so upset lol. It's the worst kebab he has ever had apparently hahaha
I guess that means Coco pops for dinner for him hahah
We remembered to buy soap at the store. Pretty pleased with ourselves.
Just trying to organise a basic itinerary for us for the next few days and then probably going back to bed. Keen for the walking tour tomorrow. I booked for 2pm to make sure we make it lol
Randi must really like me 😍 even though we are going to stay with her in Norway she still wants to see me tomorrow. She is in Denmark for a festival.
Because I'm FRIGGEN HILARIOUS, I have been sending her photos of me slowly undressing my feet.
She hates feet and she has stopped replying. I've told her I'm going send her a new photo every 5 minutes of me slowly taking my socks of and zoom in on my toes until she replies
😂 I should have a comedy show.
Bed time.Baca selengkapnya

Had a wonderful sleep in until 12.
We both showered then Will tried to have a bowl of cereal but the milk was chunky.
Dad made a comment last time we spoke saying this journal is like a food blog - that's only because we have so many damn adventures regarding food!! We just can't get it right. Lol
We left the house around 12:45 and walked to our meeting spot which was a random dragon fountain outside the town hall.
We got some KFC for lunch.
What we are finding with the whole of Europe is that they don't do "food to go" they only do sit down proper restaurants which we don't have the money for or your usual fast food chains.
There are no like boost, top juice, cafe/sandwich bars, 711's where you can grab a small meal and keep walking. It's causing us a lot of issues.
Australia is so much better set up I reckon regarding access to food too. Here, they don't spread out their food. Here, they have 'resturant streets' - we have them too but we also have random food shops on every block.
It annoying. Especially when you don't know where the "resturant street" is. 😤
ALSO, WILLS ZINGER BOX WAS $20 😩😩😩😩😩
Its bullshit.
We waited for our tour...
Our tour group was so big, I don't know why they didn't split it. There was another 2 guides who turned up but then left?
We had over 35 people.
Our guide had the weirdest accent! I think he was originally from the Faroe Islands. If not, he is from some Island between Iceland and Ireland that is independent from Denmark but is also Denmark..
that was a weird way of saying they are self governed lol.
His accent was almost Asian? His tongue placement was wrong. It was like some letters had a block.
I adapted quickly enough but was worried at first because of our group size.
We started at the town hall. He pointed out the polar bears on the top.
Town hall is right next to the Tivoli theme park which is the 3rd biggest in Europe and 2nd oldest in the world. The oldest is also in Denmark.
STUPID WILLIAM I REALLY WANT TO GO 😭😭😭😭
We walked a bit to a Viking statue where he then said the longest longboat ever recorded had the king on it and sunk on its first voyage killing everyone on board.
I think he said it was a Norwegian boat.. I would have dropped a Danish fact instead but o well lol.
We walked on to the old residence of the founder of Carlsberg brewery.
We then entered a street where we learnt about the medieval witches and stories about that and how Denmark dealt with it.
I love hearing about these stories. I'm having a brain fart and can't remember the specifics. I'm sure it's all quite similar where ever you go.
All ridiculous superstition. The poor women.
All I remember is one lady who had been accused and was awaiting her death interested a nobleman. At first it was the poor being accused but this woman accused the rich. The rich had a better defense and took it to the courts. Eventually you could only condemn someone to death for witchcraft through the high courts and they didn't accept "she didn't sink" in water as sufficiently evidence and so the burning stopped. Obviously sometimes people took things into there own hands but for the most part, problem solved.
We walked near the national Museum I would like to visit. Their most priced possession is actually just a replica cause some douche stole the 2 gold horns and melted them down into jewelry hahahaha the jewelry pieces are also on display next to the replica.
What I'm learning about the world is that every damn county has had their own "great fire".
Copenhagen has had 2.
Literally every building we past "this burnt down in the 1st great fire"
"This burnt down in the 2nd"
He showed us a beautiful church that escaped both great fires until it burnt down because some idiot set off some fireworks..... lol
We looked at another church that - you guess it - burnt down and was rebuilt. It's really tall and was then used as a fire lookout hahaha
It's now a resturant.
We walked past the attic Hans Christian Andersen liven in and the Danish national theatre.
We walked past the most expensive hotel in Denmark. It honestly wasn't that flash but the cars our the front were.
Oooo also earlier we went past the court house. We were given a 10 minute history lesson. Pretty interesting actually! I liked learning about Denmark's rise and fall.
The fires obviously didn't help things for the city but after the plague as well they actually stopped executing people because their numbers were so low 😂 #lowpoint
At one point Norway and Sweden came under the Danish King. #highpoint
It was interesting history because it's completely different from the Ottoman Empire history lessons we have previously received on our travels.
My version might be in the completely wrong order and has missed huge important chunks but I couldn't retain it all! Lol.
We then had a 20 minute break. Will bought a $10 iced chocolate. 😓 Scandinavia is going to kill us lol.
Our group got going again and we went to Nyhavn.
Its a stunning stretch next to a canal with beautiful colourful houses and lots of restaurants. The art collage is opposite and always has displays on. At the moment it has thousands of refugee life jackets hanging out of the windows. It's changed monthly.
The boats in the canal have been in there for over 50 years because they build a bridge so they can't at out.. lol
The area was so pretty. I would love to see it without any people; just the buildings 😍
We then walked through to Amalienborg which is the Royal palaces.
It was a completely different set up to normal.
There are 4 practically identical buildings with a big statue of a man (presumably an old king) riding a horse.
the buildings aren't anything special.
What I found cool was was the lack of security. There were a few guards here and there in black fluffy hats - some where practicing stuff but you could tell they weren't counted as 'on duty'
But overall hardly anyone.
If I had tried I could probably go touch the buildings or get very close.
One building is for Queen Margaret, one is for Prince Fredrick and Princess Mary and the other 2 I didn't hear who they were for lol.
Apparently the house are connected by underground tunnels which the most badass aspect I liked about it all.
They weren't home unfortunately.
Probably why there was no security. Still..
there was a beautiful church nearby which is apparently very popular for weddings and in summer doesn't stop ringing. Bet the queen loves it lol.
Our tour ended in the square. We gave a 60krone tip which is about $12 it was awkward to give because it was all coins. The lowest note we have seen is 100 and that's $20 which we didn't want to give lol.
I did actually really like our tour.
Through the square you can also see the Opera house. Ours is better.
The tour ended with him explaining why he thinks Denmark is rated as one of the happiest countries in the world. It's called a something.... 🙄🙄🙄
It doesn't have an English translation. But it's like a state of mind that has 10 steps you have to follow to achieve it. But you do it with people you love, preferably in a warm cabin when it's snowing.
I'll try remember to ask the Danish girls tomorrow for the word.
I'm suddenly in the mood to watch the Mary/Fredrick wedding. Our guide told the love story on our tour.
I was 20 years too late being born lol.
I've have told Will prince Frederick has set the standard and he better look like that when I walk down the isle.
We walked on to the little mermaid statue but first I got a photo with a beautiful fountain and FINALLY got Will to take some nice selfies with me.
We saw the little mermaid - yay! That's my novelty thing for the day done :D
We sat down in the pretty park near by for a while..
I watched a mummy bird vomit food for its baby bird :)
It was quite funny to see so many people near the mermaid statue and all the others being neglected.
I got really close to a pair of swans on our walk back :)
I like the harbor and so far like Copenhagen.
Will sampled a beer at one of the restaurants at Nyhavn. It was too cold to eat there so we went to a burger joint.
Omg it's so expensive wahhhhhhhhhh
1 glass of Coke was $10 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
My burger was delicious though - about time!
We walked home the way we came.
Will nearly shat himself in the street though. I was so very stressed because I couldnt help.
A few times I didn't think we were going to make it and i was coming up with stories to tell the police when he pooed on the street.
I was nearly in tears over the stress.
WE MADE IT.
I ran ahead to open the doors for him.
He goes "my bowel movements are really annoying me this trip" YOU'RE TELLING ME?!?! It's ridiculous!!
In other news who the hell calls it a bowel movement?? I didn't realize I was dating a doctor.
Before the emergency situation kicked in, I did get a photo with the Hans Christian Andersen statue though :)
Today was so very windy but less cold. Still nippy though!Baca selengkapnya

Terrible night sleep. Was in a crappy headspace.
Got to sleep eventually - woke up at 10 to get ready for my lunch date.
On the walk there I started having a mini anxiety attack.
I hate meeting people.
Well I do and don't.
If they have the skill of conversation starting then i am totally fine but if the job lands on me; that's when I panic.
I'm wasn't overly anxious about meeting Nadia, more so Emillie.
The 3 of us was just a very random combo.
I waited by the clock as instructed.
My heart rate would have been through the roof. Will was patient and waited with me.
Emillie turned up first, convo was a bit staggered but we got through. It got better when Nadia turned up.
She travelled an hour on the train just to see me :)
Said good bye to Will and he went off to get a haircut.
We walked to some cafe where they did a terrible job of translating the menu for me.
All 3 of us ended up getting a dessert.
The waffle was average but what it came with was amaziinggg.
3 scoops of ice cream, chocolate sauce and lots of fresh fruit.
I also got a Coke and I think it was about a litre. I have never in my life received such a large beverage.
We talked about my travels and Emillie's baby (6 months pregnant)
We talked about a lot of birth horror stories which was fun. Maybe not so much for her 🤗🤗
Will breaking Helens ribs is a personal favourite.
We chatted for ages! I didn't realize how quickly time had past until Will turned up and took a seat. Lucky he spotted my head because time had completely gotten Away from me and I hadn't messaged him to tell him where I was.
His haircut looks stupid, as usual.
We stayed chatting for another hour before saying goodbye. I actually had a really good time. The awkwardness left very quickly.
Was great to see them both!
I have been given some tips of what to see and do in Denmark.
Once we said goodbye I got given the news about Grandad.
He has had a turn for the worse and doctors have pretty much said everyone get to the hospital.
😔
I'm really upset about it but at least we have prep time.
I said to Will - a man of his extreme intelligence loosing most of his sight and and having a cognitive block would be hell.
What a fucking shitty year.
Pete, Coco, Pippin and now this. 😥😥😥
It surely has to stop?
We are blocking Helen after this.
We will need to chat more with the family before anything happens obviously.
Helen has said mum is gonna feed the cats when they fly up tomorrow so that's at least one less stress for them - thanks mum.
I'm so sad for Grandma.
Re-entering a wifi zone causes the most anxiety cause I'm just waiting for the Facebook 'ping' with Helens name.
😪😔
We just walked home. I was obviously quite distracted.
We are now just chilling at home.
Attempting to do a load of washing. I make it up every time... as long as I don't flood the house I'd consider it a success.
So I washed it and when I put it onto dry it filled up with water again 🤔
Really hungry so we are leaving and will deal with it when home.
We went in some long stupid walk to a non existent board walk.
Will said our host said something about it but didn't really remember where it was.. lol
It was a several kilometer walk before we found any water.
We walked through a dog park 😍😍😍 before sitting at some bench by the water for a little bit.
Walked home and stopped to get dinner on the way.
We got some pizza :)
The supermarket was across the street so we popped over their while they were making it to buy more milk and I found sour cream flavored Doritos! 🤤🤤
Oh, and we bought juice.
Their coins are cool yet weird. What I would automatically assume has the highest value because its design and size is actually only 5 Krone. It has a little hole in the middle lol.
To find the conversion rate you have to decide by 5. I don't know why, because it should be easy but I'm having a hard time doing it.
Walked home, ate and relaxing.
No message about grandad..
I asked Will if we should book our first night for Oslo but he said to wait for now.
We are watching YouTube videos.
Note: I'm looking at my Denmark to do list and on it is the church of our saviour.
We haven't been BUT we see in every time we walk through the park to or from our house.
✔️
Trying to narrow down possible activities for tomorrow- we have 3 options.
The national museum
Rosenborg castle
Christianborg palace
Oh the choices.
#firstworldproblem
Will has heard a new joke and thinks it's hysterical when it's not...
What do you call a pile of cats?
A meowtain.
...........
I might need to find a new bf.

Woke up and prepped myself for the news before opening my eyes.
He has actually improved overnight 🙌🏼
Everyone flew up and said that he was coherent when they first arrived - he keeps falling asleep and later became confused but I'm just grateful that whatever happens now, Bill made it in time.
I had a shower and brushed my teeth.
Waiting for Randi to reply to me about meeting up for lunch.
We Skype Jess. Apparently Helen rang mum to double check on the cats or whatever and because Helen asked mum last night mum didn't remember because of her stupid pills she shouldn't take.
Hahahaha
Lucky she called lol.
I've messaged dad to see if he wanted to skype too.
And same problem as always... he hasn't got the message 😔
HA JOKES he got it and ignored it and watched a movie instead 😪
But excellent news our parcel finally arrived :) about time!!
I got sick of everyone ignoring me so we just went to the Christiansborg palace.
It's the seat of parliament and also is used by the royals for all their duties I think.
It has multiple different sections you can pay to go in and see like the royal reception rooms etc. We went to go see the Royal stables but the horses weren't there, they were on summer pastor or something so we skipped it but I stuck my head it.
Nice place to live 🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴
We walked around the grounds but Will was super bored so he decided to go home and I waited to meet Randi by myself.
I waited about 30mins under the tower.
She and her friend finally turned up. We had a cute little hug :)
We initially waited in line to go up the tower to see a view of Copenhagen but we stood their 20 minutes and didn't even move up one place so we decided to do a canal cruise instead :) I have wanted to do one every city but Will has no interest so I was pretty excited.
It cost 80 krone which was reasonable and we took our seats. Unfortunately the tour was crap lol
The guide did it in 3 languages so for most of the cruise it was just an annoying buzzing sound as she re said everything.
It wasn't very detailed either.
Only cool thing I learnt is that Denmark has the oldest flag in the world.
Copenhagen is really trying to become a modern city. It has some really awesome new buildings with weirdo, but cool designs. We got closer to their Opera house today and I do actually like it. I need to not compare it to ours. For just a building - it's cool.
A lot of the city is under construction- we learnt on our walking tour they are putting in a crap tonne of new metros so that when done 85% of Copenhagen will be within 500m of one.
I had a chuckle and was the only one on the boat to do so.... we sailed past the royal dock where they board the ships from..
The royals stand under this mini gazebo looking thing with a beautiful crown on it - their guests stand under a gazebo thing with an onion on top 😂😂
There were a lot of bridges on the ride that we only just made it under.
I really liked the 'circle bridge too'.
We sailed up some canals that were pretty - some of the boats these people owned were incredible!!!!
The boat ride went for an hour.
We all agreed that the highlight of the trip was seeing a beautiful family of swans. A mummy and daddy with 4 gray fluffy babies.
I really am loving the swans.
We were all really hungry so we went to TGIFriday.
The menu is always different but always so good 😋😋
We chatted for ages and Randi went through my phone and found all my selfies which was embarrassing.
Can't wait to live with her in Norway. We were coming up with some ridiculous plans 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤓
So keen! Andrea will come for a slumber party too :)
I liked Randi's friend too. I think her name was Sophie? I didnt really hear.. She was pretty tired and hungover though so me and Randi did most of the talking.
The water was free 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
We walked back to Randi's car and on the way Randi was like " I think I parked illegally... we will see"
Found the car HAHAHAHHA yes, most definitely not allowed.
"You don't choose the thug life, the thug life chooses you" 🤘🏽👊🏿
She had a ticket waiting. Hahahahaha
She drove me home.
I honestly don't understand their road system - throw bikes into the combo and forget about it - it's chaos. There weren't that many cars but it took us a long while to get me home.
I fb Will from Randi's phone saying let me in then said bye.
Shall see her soon :)
I wasn't waiting long thank goodness.
He came and got me and we had a 3hr nap lol.
For dinner we walked to KFC. I didn't get anything but he got another zinger box.
As we waited we watched an Asian worker teach a trainee- they are all the same around the work 😂 so direct with no like "good job" I've missed the accent too 💙 hahah
Going to pack and shower - off to Aarhus in the morning :)
Note: the fountain from 2 days ago thy I thought had no significance is actually Gefion fountain and was on my to do list haha 🙊😅Baca selengkapnya

Grandad has actually improved again 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
Will spoke to Bill this morning and apparently he is stable and it's looking ok now. So relieved and thankful.
I hope everyone just overreacted and he makes a full recovery 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
I showered and had coco pops, and we packed.
Pleased to leave our creepy room mate behind lol. We haven't had much to do with him but he just us a yucky vibe about him.
We didn't know where to leave the keys because we couldn't lock the door behind us if we left the keys in our room but had nowhere to put them outside the room either 🤔🤔🤔🤔
We left them inside and messaged the host to let him know.
The walk is so long. I'm doing quite well with my bag and wonky sleeping bag now. The only thing that causes me issues are my shoulders - mainly my right one which is odd because my sleeping bag is on the left..
It just feels like it's cramping and I need to stretch it out.
Walk walk walk.
I waited about 30 minutes is some RTA Ticket system place to get tickets.
Holy crap they were so expensive!!!!! It was 776 krone just to get on the train and if we wanted an actual seat (not included?????) it was an extra 60 -.-
The service was so terrible and there were so many crabby people shoved In such a small area hahah.
We had an hour wait so we waited in maccas with the wifi.
I sent our new host a message to let her know when to pick us up. Woo :)
I'm a little disappointed. I realllllly want to visit the deer park in Aarhus but I don't think we are going to have time.
You can feed the wild deer carrots :( I want to so bad lol
We found our seats on the train. It's the same design
as our SUPER FUN 7 hour journey from Hamburg.
Looking out the window isn't as interesting as before. Denmark's scenery isn't all that.
Quite bland.
I liked Copenhagen - everyone is so so nice and everyone I met could speak English. It's a little boring in parts though.
I think I would like it more if I had access to a bike because there would be fewer waiting intervals.
It just seems I'm always walking to places and spend little time there compared to the actual journey. If that makes sense.
My hands look really vein-y today.
It was a 3 hour train ride. It went quick enough.
We played cards for a bit which passed time - there was a table between us.
We arrived and found our host very quickly thanks to Wills knowledge on cars. They told me a silver something... Will found it lol.
They are so so cute! - a middle aged couple. The man has a professor cross Santa Claus vibe and the woman looks like a blonde Edna from the incredibles.
They drove us home, we put our bags in our room (very nice!) and then went upstairs for a cup of tea.
We ended up chatting for over 2 hours.
We talked about alootttttt of politics. We are on the same page with pretty much everything.
We were a bit more accepting of hijabs and they were more accepting of gay marriage by a priest. They were pretty much our only differences.
It was interesting to learn about Danish politics. It sounds like a truly fantastic place to live except for the RIDICULOUS high taxes but they have free university so that's cool. You even get paid to go.
But as it's so good it's being abused by a lot of people and they are getting fed up.
They hate the EU - they feel Denmark is underrepresented. Apparently they only have 13 members.
They agree it shouldn't be demolished but there is a problem with borders.
We just agreed with everything, it was great.
We talked openly about everything.
I'm also getting a lift to the station tomorrow to meet the girls so I'm happy about that.
The dude drove us and dropped us at the shops which was a buffet. 🙌🏼 it was average but they always are, I still LOVE them. It's like my favourite place to eat.
We then bought carrots at the supermarket because I am sacrificing seeing the Tollund man to feed the deer and go to an old town museum tomorrow.
We walked back in a drizzle.
There were so many squished snails on the way and the biggest slugs!!!!!
They were huge!
I found black and brown ones. It looks like the bottom half is fluffy and the top half is leathery. I'm sure if I touched it it would be like goo though hahaha
We are lying in our villa thing relaxing.
I emailed Gregg asking for my group certificate..
We need and extra day here! I'm so cranky I didn't book it because that would have lined up perfectly for Norway.
Showered again cause my hair was gross. They have heated tiles 🙊
Bed time, big day tomorrow!Baca selengkapnya

Shitty sleep.
The doona was too hot but without it it was too cold.
We left the house at 9:40.
The heated tiles in the bathroom this morning were most welcome.
Big day today.
Our host man drove us to the station - bless his socks.
We met Charlotte inside and waited for Karoline and Julie to arrive.
Conversation was ok, she didn't seem to feel as awkward as me lol.
It was too far out for Will to go wondering so he joined us this time.
The other 2 arrived.
Finding food was even difficult for them and they are from here.
We walked through to the city center and wandered for what felt like ages. They all got on their phones to try find somewhere but couldn't so we ended up at a place they didn't want to eat at because it was a buffet style.
I was happy with a buffet again 🤗🤗🤗
Though it too was shitty 😒
They made us both try something I can't pronounce.. its Danish and disgusting. It's its some sort of liver. 🤢🤢🤢🤢😷
I ate yogurt with cous cous which tasted better than expected.
We chatted for about 2 hours. Conversation flowed well after a while.
Karoline was most attuned to my uncomfortableness and translated for me when the other girls kept switching back to Danish.
I like the sound of Danish when they talk though.
Found out Julie got us the free ferry tickets because she works there 👍🏼
Charlotte was super chatty which put me at ease. She is so expressive with her eyes when she talks.
We said bye and then headed to 'Den gamble By' which i suppose is their version of old Sydney town.
It's like an open air museum except unfortunately today it was raining so I think a lot of the actors were missing.
It had room displays from 1625 up until the early 1900 of living quarters but also trades and stuff.
The beds look horrid. Will would have had a terrible time 😂
The buildings were cute and made it look it's period.
It had like a crappy (though accurate for it's time period) amusement park section with a wooden bowling alley and tin can toss.
Some were closed due to rain.
I still really enjoyed it but I can imagine if being fantastic when all the actors are walking the streets.
There were horse and carts and they literally have a poop street. This one cobbled street had like 6 dumps on it and nowhere else in the park had any hahaha
It also had a section from 1970's which had a Little section of shops showing the prices of Tvs and records etc from that time.
I bought a postcard for 1krone to put in my journal book.
We then started the stupidly long walk to the deer park.
I finally found a magnet on the way :)
It was raining which made it all the more sucky.
We walked past Aros which they all seem to be very Proud of - everyone has told us to visit - it's just an art museum but it does have a cool rainbow walkway up the top.
Walk walk walk.
Along the way there was what is I think, similar to our sculpture by the sea. It has stupid "art" pieces along the shoreline including one truck appearing to be tow/lift out a car from the water.. #artist
We found what I thought was the park and walked through it. It was very beautiful but we didn't see any deer 🤔🤔🤔
We did however find the Queens summer home AND the flag was up which means she was home 🤗
We were in the Marliesborg memorial gardens.
We asked for help and a lady pointed us in the general direction.
There were 3 possible green spots on our map the park could be.
I was getting very flustered and stressed because we were running out of time to find it before it closed. We found another person and they pointed to one of the spots on the map so we started walking towards it but decided to take a possible shortcut LUCKY WE DID BECAUSE WE FOUND IT - nowhere near where she said to go.
I was joyous, truly joyous.
We possibly bombarded a wedding to find the gate but i don't care we made it.
The moment I saw a sign with deer on it... best moment ever.
We walked in and even without the deer it was such a wonderful place.
So green and mossy.
It didn't take long until we found our first deer 😁
It was a doe with 2 babies. We knew she would be protective of her young so we had to be carful.
PFFFFFFT worst mother ever she abandoned them for carrots.
At first she was hesitant so we built up her trust by throwing a few bits at her to make her know we had carrots - once she figured it out all her fear was gone 😂
She came straight up to us and we fed her about 6 carrots, the fat little shit.
She ignored her babies the whole time Hahaha
We tried to leave but she wouldn't have it, she wanted more carrots.
She alone had eaten half our stash hhaha
The view of the valley from where we were feeding her was magnificent though, especially watching other deer run down it.
We went looking for more deer and found one but it was behind a fence. Being the nice people we are we gave it one so it wasn't stressed it missed out hah
We walked and hit the jackpot - deer everywhere.
Will fed first they all realized what was happening and went over. They wouldn't leave him alone once he had finished so I came to the rescue 💪🏻
Heheh it was the best thing ever!! Everyone wanted a carrot. I was wary of the stag but he was friendly too and didn't mind being patted either. His antlers feel so odd.
That don't feel like i imagined - they almost feel hollow.
The best way I can think to describe the appearance and texture is a very think flower stem.
Like, it had very small hairs on it like they do and it was hollow feeling like it too - felt like it would be easy to snap. It's also possible he was just very young.
He nearly hit me in the face with them but not on purpose... he just wanted more carrots... hahah
I pet sooo many deer :D
They were so upset when we were finished but kept coming back to double check.
They make the funniest whinge sound.
Will said the sound reminds him of a creaking door or a tree squeaking as it falls over.
One had like a temper tantrum and literally screamed at us for having no carrots hahahah
None of them were afraid.
We didn't go near the trough full of babies though.
We walked through the park patting deer before they realized we had nothing to feed them and came across wild boar enclosures.
The babies were cute.
The adults were ugly cute.
It was incredible I love love love love loved it! I wish we had more carrots!
We walked the 4km walk back to the station in the rain -.-
There were public toilets on the way and we both agree they were the cleanest we have ever seen.
Walk walk walk.
We had maccas for dinner because we wanted to use the wifi to figure out how to get home.
HAHAHAHAH
McDonald, Burgee king, 711 and the bus stations wifi were all down.........
So we were essentially stranded for a while.
I knew we had to get bus number 15 or 35 but couldn't find the bus stop for either.
We didn't even know our address so we couldn't get a taxi and we couldn't ask for help from our hosts because of the wifi issue ...
We looked at the bus map and Will was positive 15 and 35 were not he right numbers but I later proved him wrong.. ✌🏼
We went to the bus station help desk and they were so helpful 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
It was an hour wait but we got on a bus! There was an automatic ticket machine on the bus? Weird.
Will was panicking cause he thought it was going the wrong way but long story short - we got there.
So very very relieved.
We both got out of our very wet clothing and had wonderful hot showers. I felt like a drowned rat.
Just relaxing and have made the decision to visit the deer park again early in the morning before going to lego land :)
In theory we might squeeze see the bog man but realistically we won't.
I'd rather play with deer :)
Was a really productive, sometimes extremely stressful but fun day!
Other notes.
There was a goose drinking from a bucket at the old town museum
Our hosts had fish for dinner so the house stinksBaca selengkapnya

Our alarm was set for 7. We got up at 11 😅 we were both just too tired.
We talked about it and decided to not go to lego land for several reasons.
- it's 2 hours away
- it's expensive
- it's a sunny Saturday and will be so packed
- it's not the only lego land in the world
And the real reason - laziness.
We didn't go see Tolland man either which I can deal with.
WE DID GO BACK TO THE DEER PARK THOUGH 😍😍
If sacrifices have to be made then I'll make them! Hahah
We walked to the shopping center and bought 4 bags if carrots hehe.
I needed help stuffing them all into my back pack.
The LIDL (I think that's the right letters) is their woolies - they had this fantastic fresh baked goods section.
We got a donut each and I got a pizza flavored pastry too - he got a sausage in a roll.
The ATM was out of order 😒
The carrots made my bag really heavy.
We took a gamble and got on a random bus going in the right direction and got off near to town.
Walk walk walk.
We found the station and then began the stupidly long walk to the deer park again.
The weather has done a complete 180
It was so bloody hot we were sweating like pigs.
I was trying to walk in as many tree shadows as possible.
Wayyyy more people were out and about today - lots at the "beach", walking their dogs, sun baking and admiring the sculptures along the shoreline.
Walk walk walk.
Made it - by feet hurt and I want a hat and sunscreen. Im never prepared cause 90% of days are crap.
A lot more people today.
We just wanted to sit for a bit so we found a bench to sit at.
One male deer was near by so I tried to coax him over but he was a scared cat. He made me laugh though he would almost tiptoe over quickly snatch it out of your hand and back away.
He wasn't a fun deer to pet so we walked on to find more.
They soon spotted the carrots and we had quite the little herd following us up the hill. Hehe
Mainly boys today. One doe was great and so pushy / she want taking crap from the men.
She jumped up onto her back legs, put her front legs on my chest and succeeded in getting the carrot I was holding up high.
Well played. She dirtied my shirt though lol.
My most favourite deer of all was a boy deer from today that didn't mind pats and kept rubbing me with his antlers.
He got some secret carrots the others don't know about 🙊
I got a good hold of his antlers and they were really warm - the blood flow maybe?
He was so trusting and let us pet him far more vigorously.
I named him Arthur. The clear favourite.
We had a group of about 8 with us.
So greedy.
On had a sad eye but he wasn't the nicest deer. It didn't look "sick" more like a birth defect.
I always felt so satisfied when a new deer came almost anxiously to the group as if "oh no I haven't missed out have i??"
So desperate for a carrot. I always delivered 😍💪🏻
We left that group having fed them 3 whole bags 😂 and wandered though the park.
We found one deer and she was a right wuss.
We threw her carrots though because she probably doesn't get many cause she is so scared.
We spent ages trying to get her trust.
She was still very wary.
This little 2 year old African kid was the best.
He had a carrot as big as him and was trying to feed a deer that was already eating. He was trying to stuff it into its mouth.
It was unbelievably cute.
We watched him for a few minutes.
Walk walk walk.
I love the deer. I want a pet one. It can live with my pig, goat and donkey. 😍😍😍😍
We gave out our last carrots at the door and said goodbye 😭
Greatest park everrrrrrrrrr.
Would travel back to Denmark just to visit.
I asked Will what his thoughts on Denmark are and I agree.
It's suited for an older generation. Not that we haven't both really enjoyed It...
It's just quite, has culture and art (Aarhus is Europe's cultural capital for 2017) and not party central.
Lego land is at billund airport so you never know - we might have to fly through it went we fly to Iceland with mum and dad ... 😜😜😜😜😜
My legs and ass are cramping up. It's just so darn farrr.
We went to maccas for a Coke and wifi to figure out where to go for dinner.
Our search didn't amount to much.
We walked to the bus stop and popped into the street food section which turned out to be wayyyyy bigger than it looks from the outside and awesome!!
We shared nachos.
It's called 'Aarhus street food'
Waiting at the bus stop now - 45 mins to go..
we are not convenient located at all but we made it home.
I have gotten organised for tomorrow and booked our hostel - it's going to be such a big day!!
We have to get 2 trains to get to Hirtshals (the port) by 11:45 tomorrow morning.
Then it's a 4 hour ferry ride
Then a 3km walk to Larvik station then another train then another small walk to our hostel 😭
Send help.
We watched videos and I packed.

7am starts are ew.
We said bye to the man host at 7:40 and walked down to the bus stop.
It was a little awkward cause we were going to leave the keys on the table but accidentally woke him up - he was sitting in his chair with his shirt unbuttoned, massive gut hanging out and little short shorts on haha
The bus stop is just outside..
We at first were like phew! We have come at the perfect time - because it's Sunday there is only one bus every hour and it comes in 2 minutes.
We waited
And waited
And waited
But It didn't come.
Panic set in.
If we didn't get to the station on time we were totally screwed because we would miss the ferry and everything else that came after -.-
Fk.
Will wanted to walk to the shops and catch a different bus but I had other plans.
We walked back to the house and I rang the doorbell, explained the situation and the lovely human that he was - he drove us 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I just didn't want to risk walking to the shops to find out that bus only comes once and hour too because then what??
I had privately guessed he would offer to drive us. I felt bad even asking but I was pretty stressed and desperate.
Nothing was open at the station - including the ticket people...
we had a go at the automatic machine.
Bloody hell our ticket broke the bank.
1000krone =$200 TO NOT EVEN GET A SEAT
We have been told Denmark only has the one train company and no competition so they can charge whatever they want -.-
We got breakfast then went and waited on our platform. The train came early so we got on - as everything around us was deserted we decided to sit in some of the seats and wait and see if we got kicked out.
But no one came so we got to stay woohoo!!
I had a little snooze. Will is listening to YouTube talks - its his new thing. I think the current one is about the Big Bang.
Last night we watched one of top 10 countries likely to cause WW3.
It's about 20 minutes before we have to get off and change trains.
Another ticket person came and asked in a confused could if we were a group of 4. We said no and asked why....
WE BOUGHT 4 TICKETS 😡😡😡
Each ticket covered 2 people.
I'm so angry about it because if the stupid ticket people had been there we would have gone to them and not wasted $100
Genuinely upset and annoyed.
We changed trains without any issues - it was a very small station so our train was the only option.
It was like a bus train - it had many scheduled stops but only actually stopped if you pressed the buzzer in the train.
Everyone was going the same place we were so it was easy to find.
We went and checked in again without any issues which was a relief because my email was in Danish so i had no clue lol.
We sat upstairs for a bit because we were an hour early.
We didn't end up having the magic truffles in Amsterdam and I had completely forgotten that I still had them until a sniffer dog walked by 😐😐😐😐😐 shit shit shit shit lol
I went to the toilet and put them in the sanitary bin HAHa my bad.
#schapelle
Mum don't stress, it's fine ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
We made it on board. The boat is HUGE. It's more of a cruise ship than a ferry. It's got shops everywhere, money exchange, restaurants etc
It's 8 levels and transports cars too.
We found seats.
It is wayyyyyyy more rocky than I expected such a big boat to be.
Good luck Will - lucky he took a motion sickness pill before we got on.
I went up to exchange money - there 200 note had a big fish on it which I found amusing. Must be an important type of fish. Maybe a Viking related fish 🤔
Lol
As I was changing money I didn't know if It was the boat or if I was about to faint. It was such a bizarre feeling.
I went and sat down and after a while decided it was the boat.
Apparently sea legs don't happen automatically.
I'm more use to it now.
Wifi costs on the boat which is a bit of bummer.
To try and promote Will not vomiting I went and got us food.
It was difficult balancing.
He has eaten now and is trying to sleep - he doesn't look very comfortable so I doubt he will be successful but he has 3 more hours to try.
I ended up having a snooze myself. Lol
The boat got less bumpy by the end. I watched the waves out of the toilet window. ✌🏼
We got off the boat and I couldn't believe it - A CUSTOMS PERSON DOING THEIR JOB. 😍
We had to show her our passports AND she even made a full enquiry about when we entered the schengen zone and checked our stamps. Good for her. She deserved a sticker.
I don't know if I have previously mentioned this but I made a Facebook status when we went from Belgium to the Netherlands without anyone checking our tickets or passport saying like good job Europe in a sarcastic tone and literally every European person i know commented saying like derrrrr it's a free travel agreement.
Tony Lloyd commented too in what I interpreted as a condescending tone so I double checked
As it happened once you're in the EU you're in and dont need to show documentation even though I'm not an EU member which is frankly ridiculous..
BUT I am also suppose to be checked so I don't overstay my welcome.
Denmark and Norway thus far are the only people taking security seriously.
You shouldn't trust your neighbours to do their jobs - I could be anybody.
EU people should have to flash their EU cards which is what I assumed was meant to happen..
those tightened border security measures are really working out ..
The dock was a 3km walk from Larvik station 😒
Luckily there was a big group walking that way so we followed them cause my maps weren't properly loading. But being prepared for such events I print screened the route lasts night just in case - it's just easier when the live movement dot thing moved with you.
Made it. The walk was quite boring really. It's quite an industrial area.
My heart sank.. on the board next to every train for the rest of the day to Oslo - it said cancelled.
Gah.
I asked the kiosk guy and he didn't understand the word cancelled
So we got on the train currently waiting for people to board. I think we got lucky because it is going to Oslo 🙌🏼
Our tickets were again expensive. Another $100 gone 😩😩😩
The scenery is pretty. The quality of houses is higher so far.
Our train was 2 hours which is longer than I had told Will it was going to be so he had the grumps.
To be fair I did think it was going to be an 1.5 hours. It's what google said lol.
Some of the stations we went through were surrounded by wonderful areas.
I feel like they look like the type neighborhoods you would live in if you were part of a yacht club.
The man across from us had such smelly armpits. 😷Shock horror he was Indian.
Our train was running about 7 minutes late which doesn't hold up to the European standard we have come to expect. Tut tut.
We arrived in Oslo finally - everyone had to get off due to track work.
🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴 YAYAYAY
And so began our next and final leg of the journey.
I loaded the map through the hostel website and not through google so we went on a slight detour but no harm done.
Well maybe a little, Will was whinge bag. So much so he actually apologized later for it 😵😱😮
Unheard of.
His exact words were " sorry for being such a poo head" ❤️❤️ Nawh.
The city was pretty dead but I suppose it is a Sunday night...
walk walk walk.
Found it. Or at least thought we found it.
We found it's sister hotel. We figured that out when our name wasn't registered - 50m down the road... FOUND IT 🎈🎈🎈
I think I spend more time documenting our 'getting lost' adventures than actual tourist stuff.
Being lost just takes up so much of our time 😂
This hostel is super shitty. It screams houso's but it's just for one night.
We have been assigned beds but cant find the letters so we have just picked 2.
We did a tag team poo then went to TGIFridays for dinner or as they call it TGIPridays - rainbow flags everywhere.
Oslo isn't as clean as we expected. I dunno, I expected more. It's dirty and there are a lot of homeless.
The food wasn't great. Our chicken wings were cold.
Our food cost $100. Booooo.
WE HAVE SPENT $500 TODAY 😭😭😭😭😭
Transport, checking in and food 🔪🔪
Our room is full of retards.
Will is so bad with people who aren't strong with English.
It's like he has to make it known he is Australian and pulls out the most bogan, complicated sentences he can think of.
This place is a Hole.
Randi's tomorrow :) she should get home around 4 - we will have to amuse ourselves until then.Baca selengkapnya

Ok so some dude came into our room at 1am and woke everyone up with his ridiculous snoring.
I think he has sleep apnea because it would stop for 10 seconds - relief would wash over my body and then he would start again.
At 3am the sun was completely up so I played sim city on my phone for a bit and found ear plugs for Will.
Went back to bed - we had to pay for linen which we didn't want to do so we went without which is totally disgusting BUT I actually found the bed to be quite comfortable for the rest of the night.
Woke up at 10 so that was great.
Checked out and they stored our bags for us for free so we dropped them and went exploring.
I picked up a free map at the desk - we headed towards where we were last night because apparently the royal palace is nearby.
The streets were cleaner this morning but still quite empty.
Ooo forgot to mention last night we walked past a man covered in bumps. I discovered on my google search this morning that I correctly identified him as a leper.
Poor man.
We walked a while and found the palace. It's a crappy outer design but I'm sure the inside is just fine lols.
I liked what the guards were wearing - I don't think he was allowed to speak but he did communicate with people who asked him for a photo by nodding.
I got one 🤘🏽
Their march is much faster than other countries guards - its normal walking pace.
We sat for ages and looked over the map we were given. There was a fortress on there so we decided we would go there after we had eaten.
We found a place that did a great burger.
It was $30 each for a proper chips and burger meals which was much more reasonable that expected.
Not ideal but it wasn't $50 each.
We walked past the harbour which was quite nice and found the fortress. It's called Akershus fortress.
It was free to wander around so we did. We walked to the top and sat for ages just looking at boats and escaping the sun in the shade.
You could pay to enter the castle but but it really didn't look that exciting so we didn't.
We were really just wasting time waiting for Randi to get home.
It had a sign saying the place has significance but no other real signs explaining why... lol
Either way - been there done that.
We decided to go back to the hostel and chill for a bit.
Bless google maps.
We got back and both used the loo then hung around for about 2 hours before we decided we would start walking towards Randi's and on the way find a pub to sit in for Will. Apparently his liver is hurting from lack of alcohol. Lol
Found one - it was about $9 a beer which again is crap but still better than expected - he was allowed 2.
It was then about 5:30 so we started the walk
Oh my god she lives on the top of a mountain.
The whole walk was uphill 😩😩
So sweaty, yuck! 3 Kms later we found her front door.
She buzzed us in - the elevator was so small we went one at a time - I went first but when it arrived at her level I couldn't turn around to get out because of my backpack - Will must have called for the elevator because back down I went. When I reappeared he just looked at me like I was a retard.
I got out, turned around and got back in - she met me at the door.
She hates feet so I found it odd we had to take our shoes off haha
We just chatted for ages and made up a very basic possible plan for the next week.
She has given us her room and she will sleep on a mattress in the upstairs bit.
Bless.
So keen to spend time with her.
We had a cup of tea - once again when someone has offered tea it hasn't been black tea with milk 🤔. Very strange.
We went down to the supermarket - she put on a jumper she knitted herself - I was very impressed with it.
But get this - you need a PERMIT to knit. HAHAHHAH What the actual crap. Where the hell are we ?!?!
Supermarket was down the road we bought some basic food. It will be the first time she has had milk in her fridge so she is excited by the novelty (vegan) lol.
We got a decent amount of stuff and it was only $50👍🏼
She has bought us some Norwegian snacks too 🙃🙃🙃 oh and some brown cheese which tastes delicious!! I had some when we got back - it has a caramel taste to it. Yummmmy!
We walked back and ordered pizza because everyone is pooped.
This is why we are friends....
I noticed a bowl full of lettuce and asked what it was - she answered very embarrassed
"Those are my pet fish"
I looked closer and there are 4 soy sauce fish things in the bowl too 😂😂😂😂😂
Amazing.
She went and slept, our pizza arrived (it was too oregano-y) I showered and now in bed. Keen for a good night sleep.Baca selengkapnya

Randi is sick so we all had a sleep - in 🙌🏼
About 1 she got up. We thought about going to the Viking museum but Andrea was planning on coming over after work so we didn't have enough time - no complains here - I planned on getting having a nap - first I had my coco pops though 😬😬😬 it's my new favourite thing - I get excited every night because I get to eat it again soon. lol
I went to have my nap and I swear not even 15 minutes later the door bell rang and in came Andrea which was awesome but I would have liked another 30 minutes lol.
We chatted for ages while Randi slowly died in the corner. She needs to go to the doctor but is in denial at the moment.
We eventually decided to go get something to eat.
Andrea drove us in her car to the harbour which is opposite the fortress and we went to Jamie Oliver's italian resturant there. Fancy fancy.
Will bought a $50 steak 😒😒😒😒
I got a $20 pizza. It was very yummy but not the best I have had - again they didn't cut the pizza for me so there I was hacking at it like a goose and messing up all the ingredient ratios for each slice. The knife always pulls the cheese off 😫
I'll admit the harbour was very nice.
We walked around an obviously rich area and found a pharmacy for Randi to buy drugs in - while she did that i amused myself with putting on different "tester" creams.
We drove home - Andrea spent $30 on parking - we intended on paying her back but forgot - must remember when she comes back over tomorrow because that's not fair to put that on her.
When we got home Randi went to bed and the 3 of us played cards - first we played president and hobo which is really similar to big 2 and then we played a game of 'long and short" which I found really really fun!!
We pigged out on Norwegian chocolate and chips.
The chocolate was so good! Better then Belgium for sure!
Oh forgot! SO EMBARRASSING!
When we were walking around the bay thing, Randi said something really funny so I laughed really really loudly - at the exact same time a person ran into us with a pram.
I looked over and noticed the lady had an extreme walking disability.
Talk about bad timing. She must think I'm a terrible person for laughing at her - even though it wasn't actually at her... 😩
We played cards for hours - so fun! Randi woke up and put on some music for a bit before Andrea realized the time and left.
Everyone is in bed now.
Hopefully dad responds to my skype date invitation- I'd really like to speak with them. I miss them.
So our plan for tomorrow is to talk to them then go to the Viking ship museum.
We often don't stick to plans but we are both really keen.
Will has downloaded a new MMA game so that has amused him a lot today haha.
Also Wills comment from yesterday evening as we went to bed
" I feel like the sun is closer here"
While that may be true - a few thousand kilometers closer is hardly note worthy or going to be noticeable when you consider how far away the sun is. Hehe
Randi needs to go the doctor so she gets better. We think she has a cold and an ear infection.
We had to pick between going to her Sweden house or summer house.
We have picked her summer house where we can go fishing.Baca selengkapnya

Woke up and wanted to press snooze but because I had a skype date with mum and dad I got up - or rather sat up. Lol
Strong evidence of my love.
We chatted for 40 mins or so - it was sooooooo good to talk to them. I really love and miss them.
I told them which rose product is for who so that's one thing down ✔️
Once we hung up we had coco pops and brushed teeth before heading off to the Viking ship museum.
It was a 5.5 km walk there, a lot of it was slightly downhill so I wasn't looking forward to the uphill walk back.
It took what felt like a very long time to get there - we had to walk through this patch of farmland which was the best bit of the walk - there were so many geese and some Norwegian birds (black with white faces) sitting on the grass - at least 50.
It was a lovely scenic route.
Finally made it and we were so excited.
It cost about $15 each.
Inside were 3 differtn boats - 2 of them had been excellently preserved and fixed up - one was in the condition it was found - I think.
The first boat at the entrance is the most decorative they have ever found and was used to bury 3 people I think - the 3 people's skeletons in the museum.
The woodwork was spectacular! I loved the design of the whole boat.
The second boat was pretty dodgy looking - it too was used for a burial. I thought they pushed people out to see and burnt them but apparently they also bury you with the boat - a lot of soil would have been needed to cover these ships! Lol
It had a triangular structure that the bodies were in so the soil didn't collapse onto the people. The people were buried with animals, food, weapons etc. A similar system to the Egyptians in that they give you things to help you in the afterlife.
It had a video presentation on the ceiling and walls which I really enjoyed.
The 3rd boat was used on voyages and burial - its section was where the skeleton left were. One lady was approx 70-80years old which is way older than I was expecting. The other was around 50 - the bone people can't find a cause of death so they think it is possible she was sacrificed to keep the First Lady company. Lol
There was also a section of things they found buried with the boats such as the silks, weapons, shields, carts etc.
I found it all so interesting.
There was a little section with stairs you could climb up and look into the boats from.
Fantastic museum.
Will was hungry so we went looking for food. The only place we could find was the cafe at another museum I wanted to go to but decided to skip because Will was dying and I didn't NEED to go to.
We bought a drink for the journey home and it was delicious.
The walk home felt longer - always does - the fun part is over.
Will said something to me and you know how smells trigger memories? Well, he had Pupa Fisher breath.
I checked like 5 times. It was bang on. I knew that smell.
Even I think its weird.
We had to keep stopping in our walk to get rocks out of our shoes.
Will wanted a beak at the half way point so we sat for 10 minutes.
Walk walk walk.
We got some food in the 711 which included an awful, stale donut and a new Fanta flavor.
Will stopped for a kebab. I had a bite and the meat was gross - probably horse rectum.
We got into Randi's building no problems which is good because she is going away for the next 2 days for an internship and we have the place to ourselves.
Will went and lay down - I watched friends with the girls - they both fell asleep but I had a blast laughing my head off. Will doesn't like friends. Yet another reason why I should dump him lol.
Randi went off to a family members birthday dinner snd I cooked some pasta for me and Will. 🍝
I got the first step wrong which Andrea and Will both found funny and yet shameful.
You have to boil the water before you put the pasta in 🙄 ... they both know it's true and yet can't believe i dont have an oven or stove ... I wish I could cook but I don't even understand the basics 😔 never been taught 😔
I'd like to say I cooked the pasta by myself but really without Andrea there would be no pasta lol
Will didn't like the sauce but I didn't mind it. It was just a Dolmio bottle so wasn't expecting much anyway.
After dinner we finished our card game from yesterday and then played the Norwegian version of go fish which I like better - you have to get all 4 not just pairs.
Andrea went home, Randi panicked and I went to bed.Baca selengkapnya

Didn't set an alarm which meant I woke up at 12:30. I thought Will would have woken me earlier but he let me sleep 😘
Randi had left so we had the apartment to ourselves.
We had showers then did nothing really. We planned on walking to a park but wanted to get food first - we walked to a different TGIFridays about 2km away. I have been dying to try the Oreo dessert so naturally they had a freezer malfunction yesterday, had to chuck everything out and didn't have it 😫
Devo.
Will ordered another ridiculously expensive steak. We agreed it would be his last one. At least this one was bigger - it didn't even come with chips though - they cost extra 😒
I like the free Coke refills though ✌🏼
I got just the chicken wings - someone has to try save money .. lol
We were going to walk to the park but decided to just go home instead.
We walk past Bislett stadium on the way which hosted the 1952 winter Olympic Games which is cool.
We were thinking of seeing a movie tonight but they don't show movie very late? We will do both things tomorrow lol. Lazy day.
Ok the walk home some kid was playing with a bow and arrow at the park hahaha.
We are also doing a load of washing. Randi has like 10 different washing detergent options.
They take their disposing of rubbish very seriously here - they have 10 different categories to sort their shit into. As if you could be bothered?!
I popped down to the shops to buy more cereal and juice - I ended up with cherries and oreos too 🙊
We had planned on going to a festival with Andrea on Saturday but it's more expensive than we expected and she can't really afford it so we have scrapped that idea and are just going to do the horse riding part on the Sunday instead 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 YAYAYAY. I wasn't too keen for the festival anyway - the photo of Randi at it last year looked very Texan.
We are having some chill out time. I'm reading my book and Will is watching videos.
Our second load of washing is nearly done.. she has a dryer though so we don't have to hang them - woo!
We went to bed around 1. I read a good chunk of my book and Will listened to an entire audiobook on YouTube of his favourite science guy lol.Baca selengkapnya

Another amazing day doing literally nothing.
Got up at 12:30, had breakfast, had a shower, looked up movie times - postponed it and lay on the couch and had a snooze. It's now 6pm. ✌🏼
We walked to McDonalds for dinner about 1km away.
We walked through what is now my favourite street in Oslo. It's houses had charm and were covered in vines. It was beautiful.
We ate - they have the best Big Mac of Europe so far then we walked back.
I started reading kept going well into the night and did an above average amount of poops today ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
I had another shower - used all the hot water then Will got cranky when it was his turn and it turned cold while he was still soapy heheh.
He also had a big whinge at about 11pm about being hungry so I made him a sandwich to try shut him up. Ut the bread was stale 😒
Oh at maccas they had a straw/napkin/salt station - its the first I've seen in Europe.
Randi has the BEST mug I have ever ever ever seen and I must get one. She got it from Matilda the musical.
it's a must.
I like her apartment except she needs blinds, toilet locks (not keys) and handled to open her kitchen draws - atm they are the spring activated ones that open when you push onto them.
For the last 2 nights a couple has been having VERY LOUD sex outside and the girls ridiculously UNNECESSARY noises have annoyed me at bedtime.
I had a look out the window and I can't see them. It sounds like they are on the street - it's definitely not coming from next door - they aren't on a balcony either... it rained during the night so the show was postponed for the evening. 👏🏼👏🏼
Didn't sleep well again.Baca selengkapnya

I set my alarm for 9:30 because we planned to clean the house but for unknown reasons my phone didn't charge and died so obviously the alarm didn't go off. At 10:45 we woke up naturally and then got up.
Because Will malts like a damn dog we got out the vacuum. It was a shifty quality but picked up enough hairs you could see an improvement. We then vacuumed his chest and back to get some of the loose hairs off before they fell off naturally 😂
Will went on a bin run too. Once things were looking cleaner we went walking towards the Vigeland sculpture park.
We had McDonald's for breakfast - bad Harry and William - and only had to walk a little further to reach it.
Of course it started to rain once we got there. Lucky we had our water resistant jackets.
It wasn't pouring but nor was it sprinkling.
We found the main line up of statues and had a geez.
It's a park with heaps of staues all from the one sculpture. I think it's meant to represent the human form. Some of them were quite beautiful really. The facial expressions and body posture of some were real and relatable.
My phone was dead so I couldn't take photos - Will managed to get 1 of me though with my favourite statue - man attacked my babies "eeekh get them off" hahaha
There was also one of a toddler having a tantrum that was great.
We walked up stairs to another section of statues- there was a big tall tower one in the middle which had 100+ figures built into it.
I noticed a lot of the statues up top had disproportionately large feet.
We popped into the cinemas on the way back but they just don't seem to have a very good system- they show something only once or twice a day and that's it.
We moved on.
We sat in a bench for a while because Will don't want to go home. A man started feeding birds then another one did too. The first man lost his shit at the second man... it was so strange. Crazy old people. I THINK he was angry cause the second man was giving the birds big chunks of bread not small ones?? He yelled and blubbered something, switched to broken English and then calmed down. He soon left but came back to check on the second man again hhah
We walked home. I read my book and (finished it - i asked the author when the next one comes out - he replied and said hopefully sep/oct 🙃)
We then went looking for dinner for fussy Will - he wanted Thai but the place we found was dodgy. He ended up with pizza.
Continuing my efforts to try and save money I cooked tomato soup on the stove for myself - it took a long time typing the packet instructions into google for it to translate for me. I MUST get the translation app Dad told me about.
Randi came home as I was setting up so she supervised haha.
IT WAS SO DELICIOUS - I put cheese in it and nearly choked on it but omg amazing. I had 2 bowls and now I feel so full!
Me and Randi chatted for a while - nothing too interesting. Lol
She went to bed, I showered, started a new book and now it's bedtime for me too.
Oh I had fun trying to play Randi's flute before - I'm not very good lol.
Ok So Oslo is actually super boring but we kinda did something today woo.

Woke up at 10 - Andrea said she was on her way so we started getting ready.
She arrived around 10:40 - we gathered our stuff and went down to her illegally parked car out front haha.
She put on some tunes and away we went.
Norway is becoming prettier the further we drive, as expected.
We drove past/near the building their constitution was signed in and past Norway's biggest lake. Very pretty.
We stopped at a service station because she was insistent that we some Norwegian food thing.
She bought 10 - there was an option of buying 100 😂you could buy relevant souvenirs hahah.
We found Bundaberg ginger beer so we bought one each.
We kept driving for a long time but I had a little snooze 🙊
The views are incredible. This is proper Norway, I love the forest trees.
We got a call that the horses weren't ready yet so we went on a hike first. 🙃
Andrea has worked at the horse place and in the adjacent mountains for the past 10 years so she picked a mountain for us. Lol
The different fauna really interests me.
I love the 2nd half of mountain hikes - the downhill part...
We walked a decent way - I don't know whether this is specifically a Norwegian thing or a hikers in general thing but once you reach the top you out a rock on an already big pile of rocks. So at the first "summit" we did that :)
My ears, mainly my left one really really really hurt - it was sharp like when you need to pop it on a plane only i didn't need to. It was ridiculously cold and windy too so I thought that might be a factor so I put my hood up and finger In my ear which seemed to help.
The views were marvelous - you could see out so far.
We walked over to another peak and pile of rocks.. Will naturally felt the need to put the biggest one he could find at the tippity top which later fell down and took other people's rocks with it. Tut tut.
At this peak there was a guest book which we signed :)
Oh and a bench so we sat for a bit. Some other crazy people cane RUNNING up the mountain and signed it too lol.
Andrea hot-spotted me ( mum, that means she gave me some of her internet ) so I could download a 360 degree photo taking app to try capture the whole area. It semi worked. I'll need to read up on the proper instructions.
We walked around the mountain on the way back rather than back over. Phew.
My ear was feeling better at this point - I did a wee in a bush hehe but then as I was running to catch up to everyone I started running to fast down the hill and had momentary concerns about not being able to stop but after a lot of effort and a laughing fit I managed.
We got back in the car and drove over the horse place.
There was a different group getting ready to go.
Our horses weren't saddled up so we did that ourselves :)
Will got a horse called Olaf, I got Svarten ( black in Norwegian) and we're not 100% who Andrea rode because we think she might have taken the wrong horse 😂
I gave my horse the biggest hug. He wasn't as fluffy as i would have liked but it was nice hugging something other than Will hahah
He was really friendly and didn't mind my affection hehe.
We both brushed down our horses while Andrea checked their hooves. Then we put the saddled on, put our helmets on then got on.
Will claims not to be scared and that he just doesn't like horse riding. I don't believe him. It's like the BS claim he made when we visited Jaxon in the hospital the day he was born and he wouldn't hold him because "I just don't care".
Nope, he was scared.
The same thing today.
We walked for the first hour without any issues and we could hear Will talking to his horse in the same voice he talks to Jaxon and the cats.
He was warming up:)
Andreas horse went first which my horse didn't like but my horse was a good boy and obeyed the rules.
Wills went wandering off paths and tried to eat every minute which Will let him do lol.
We walked through a river which was really fun.
We also walked to a massive crevasse I think you would call it? Basically just a massive hole in the middle of the mountain. Will became nervous again lol.
Our asses were hurting big time by now.
Will seemed to be enjoying himself well enough by now.
this all changed quite quickly lol.
Will had a retard horse who fell down the hill - lucky Will jumped/ran off the horse in time but the horse went rolling. It has a little blood nose - we think jut a scratch - it got up and started eating so we knew it was fine lol.
Will handled that pretty well and was happy to get back on.
He started complaining a lot about his balls and their slow death...
AND THEN.
His feet are to big for the foot holders so 10 minutes later when an unidentified insects stung his ankle and he couldn't reach to get the wasp off and started screaming - that wasn't too fun..
I jumped off my horse and tried to get the sting out for him.
Getting back on my horse was interesting lol - it kept moving because it wanted to be the leader
The distance back to the farm is normally run by the horse but because lWill didn't even want to trot the walk took a long time.
He was in a FOUL mood which was magnified when, once we arrived a horse stood on his foot. Lol
Originally I thought maybe I would be able to go riding with me again. HA that possibility went out the window very quickly lol.
We had to walk the horses back to the paddock which i didn't want to do because Wills mood effects mine and he was done. Completely done.
Oh and I had food In My pocket the horse wanted to eat so wasn't being cooperative lols
But we managed and got them home.
Andrea drove us to the reception to pay. Our first card declined, not sure why but the 2nd one worked. It was only $15 each so actually really cheap.
Forgot to mention earlier we paid for Andreas petrol because it's a 3hr drive each way so we needed to be good people lol.
The drive home was good cause it gave Will time to calm down and because the sun doesn't set I saw all the things I missed on the way there.
They grow grass on their roofs and it's awesome.
I love the style of houses. It's very 1800's - like wooden cabin style things except they are ALL like it.
We stopped in at McDonald because once again NO OPTIONS AVALIABLE.
Drive drive drive. We listened to some tunes and now we are back home. So happy to be back. Tomorrow we need to figure out how to get to a big risk thing we want to see on the other side of the country.
Side note: I have never met a bunch of such gassy horses and Will wants me to note his horse walked into a tree that's why he got stung.Baca selengkapnya

We are both so stiff and sore lol. 🐴
We slept in until 12:30 before I got up to have a shower and Will went to have breakfast - halfway through my shower I hear "we've ran out of cereal are you right with not eating?" 😂😂
We went to TGIFridays in attempt to finally get me my Oreo madness dessert Randi and Andrea rave about.
We went to the same one as last time which had the freezer disaster because they should have restocked by now.
The service was shocking, the ONE worker they had was doing a splendid job but he had the whole floor to himself and couldn't manage - no one could. Poor guy was struggling big time. He was a nice English man.
I had the Oreo thing and was grossly disappointed. I dont think the pre hype was a problem - it just wasn't very nice lol.
We walked home and got organised. It was a veryyyy expensive hour.
We have booked a car for tomorrow for 3 nights ($450) booked accommodation near the hiking routes we want to do ($550 for 3 nights 😭😭😭😭)
Then we booked our train from Oslo to Stockholm which was $200 and then we also booked a hostel in Stockholm $300 for 3 nights.
Can we go back to the balkans yet?
Also, we spoke to Jess this morning about her and Jaxon coming to Europe.
The plan at the moment stands at - They will fly over late august early September and we will meet in London. We will look after Jaxon for the first 2 weeks while Jess goes to Iceland to finally escape. She will then come back to London where for the next 2 weeks we will do London and Paris together.
Jaxon is going to be the biggest pain in the ass but I'm still excited.
She plans to drug him on the plane hahah
And, Grandma had a fall 2? days ago.
Grandma and Grandad have been causing issues in the hospital wanting to see the other so now they are in the same room 😂😂 cute date night.
She is fine though, nothing broken 👍🏼
I hung out with Randi for a bit before she left for some family members house. I have a set of keys and will see her again on Friday when we stay one more night so we have saved our goodbyes for then.
Ohh and this morning Will freaked out because $182 got taken out for petrol yesterday - I spoke to Andrea - she called the petrol station and I so very pleased to announce that foreign cards deduct 1100 NOK every time until the proper payment goes through.
We checked and it did say pending so hopefully things work out.
I cooked soup but it was lumpy? We sivved/strained it and still ate it lol.
Her stove is so stupid.
I watched it rain out of her windows for a bit. 😍
I watched some classic Aussie idol clips and am now in bed.
Oh oh oh and earlier today I also read a bit and pre packed for tomorrow.
I have a sore tummy :(
I didn't take any photos today (except the Oreo) so I'm adding more from yesterday :)Baca selengkapnya

Roadtrip

We went to bed late and I was stressed Will wouldn't get enough sleep.
He got up earlier than me because unlike yours truly he didn't pack last night. Tut tut
We left the house around 9:15 with the maps pre loaded for our walk. We took the same route we have taken everyday to the palace and just walked a little further.
We got to where it should be and it wasn't there ... I re read the address and it mentioned the entrance was from a different street only we couldn't see it on the map 🤔😩We walked around the building and finally found europcar hidden underneath - the word they gave us must not be a street or rather mean 'under' or something similar There was a very stressed man having troubles getting a car. I pittied him until we ran into our own issues. Our card declined even though it had $4000 on it. So we had the plan that Will would get on the wifi and transfer it to his other card.
Only the wifi password wouldn't work.
We both typed it in slowly several times and it said it was wrong - the worker even tried hot spotting us... eventually the worker types it in for us and it worked..... it's not like it was a hard password - it was europcar ??? Whatever it worked, woo.
Only then the card still wouldn't even let Will transfer money off it - it just said error. Trevor Dowse T- Dogg will be getting a 4am call about system failure for sure. 😬
We left that money on that card and transferred a separate $3000. So much moneyyyyyyy - We have to pay a really big deposit which we obviously get back if we don't crash the car 🤞🏼
We paid for GPS and unlimited tolls which was a bit mixed but it was needed.
We finally went to get our car only we couldn't find it hahaha it was going really well...
Found the cat park - we have a little red Toyota Yaris.
It took us so damn long to figure out the address of where we were going because once again they have only provided a street name and not a number or suburb which the gps needed 😩
We ended up putting in a suburb in the general area so we would go in the right direction.
I was so stressed for Will and pleased I wasn't driver- we drove really slowly to make sure we didn't hit anything and got use to the other side of the road.
The gps malfunctioned and though we were in the ocean but it finally got it shit together as we saw the beautiful golden M on the horizon.
THERE IS NO OTHER FOOOOOOOOODDDDDD WHAT IS THIS PLACE?
We used the maccas wifi to find out and input the right suburb - still didn't have a number but we would get 99% of the way before that was a problem.
On the road 😎😎 it was over a 6 hour drive.
Ok so considering this was the most direct route it's an absolute disgrace even though it is outrageously beautiful. We never once did over 80km p/h. Our average was 60 the whole way for a 350km journey.
It was in and out of mountains but not only that the streets weren't always wide enough to let 2 cars pass each other so we were constantly waiting for people.
I enjoyed driving past the watch for moose signs 🙊
For the first half of the trip a non exaggeration guess would be that we went though 17+ roundabouts. Again, this was the most direct route.. through little towns.
They need a highway.
So apart from that the journey was lovely.
The trees and running streams were gorgeous. It's how i imagine America/Canada to look where the bears eat the salmon.
I felt guilty looking cause Will couldn't or rather shouldn't.
We went in and out of the most beautiful mountains, driving past everyone's summer homes next to lakes.
I LOVE THE GRASS ROOFS because it's not juts some houses, it's every house.
We stopped for our first 'stop, revive, survive' and had a quick pee break.
Our second break was much further on and in the middle of snow scattered hills. We wanted to touch some so badly. At this break we just got out to stretch and take photos.
There are sheep everywhere in the mountain and cars dont bother them at all - they don't move. I like how so many have bells on and so many not baby but toddler lambs :) we had to give a beep of encouragement but even then many just looked at you.
It was friggen freezing outside.
I want to see a bear and a moose.
It rained for so must of the journey - the mountains were so misty.
For about 40km we had a van on our ass which was annoying and stressful.
It took 3 turns to find our hotel but we got there :)
The dude at check in was rude.
We couldn't get into our room and unfortunately we had to contact me happy agin. He came and open it for us - we felt silly but ALL European doors have been a nightmare for us.
So since that maccas we didn't see another place to eat or shop for the whole 350km.
So we were forced to eat at the hotel resturant. My salad was disgusting but our Oreo flavored drumsticks were amazingggg.
We went back to our room and couldn't get in again. Will refused to ask again so we took turns trying until Will finally got it.
I'm honestly exhausted - even though I didn't drive I was stressed the entire time and followed the roads as closely as Will.
It's only 8 but it's time for bed - big and exciting day tomorrow!!! :D
Oh and they serve moose fillet at the resturant 😂Baca selengkapnya

Kjeragbolten

Right so I fell asleep around 8:30 - woke up at 12:30 because I was so hot, woke again at 4 and then again at 8. It was truly magically looking at the clock seeing I still had so much time left.
I don't want to admit to Will he is right but I am probably tired because I overslept 😅
We had planned to leave the hotel by 9 but that didn't happen lol.
We left the room about 8:45 to go get breakfast from upstairs.
It was buffet but average at best. We don't know how much it cost but again, no other choices.
We left around 10.
We had to drive about 30km to get to the there on another windy one and a half lane road.
Stunning scenery.
We got to the car park and it cost 200krones for the day ($30) 😒
Will went and got the ticket and paid 40 but it came back with a timer on it - he said it was the only ticket option - We enquired and got told we bought the wrong one I went and bought a new one and it came out with the same thing on it. A different guy said the ticket I bought was correct- I said we already had a ticket so he gave me a 200krone refund.
Went back to the car and realized actually there was a difference but we didn't want to walk all the way over again so we just left it and hoped we didn't get a fine/ would explain the situation in a kind manner. Lol
Right so it was a 5km+ hike to the main boulder.
THE FIRST BIT NEARLY KILLED ME. The option of turning around and quitting crossed my mind haha.
It was so steep and never ending. We had maybe 10 breaks just on the first stretch. The air was so cold we were both just so breathless.
My ear started hurting again so I put on Wills snow beanie.
Honestly though the first bit was a nightmare. 1km straight up. It had chains for you to hold onto and pull yourself up with.
We finally had a turn and going down into the most beautiful valley type area. Amazing, truly amazing.
One guy had pitched a tent and there were some sheep around. We got lots of photos at this spot.
And so began the second mountain. Not hill. It was a mountain.
Their was less strenuous on the lungs but more so on the legs. It too had chains to drag my fat ass up with.
A lot of the journey was very similar in that we climbed and discovered a new phenomenal view before continuing.
At one point I went on a little detour down the mountain because I dropped my selfie stick timer button and it went tumbling off a rock.
We found it though. 😬
It was so beautiful that Will actually ASKED for a photo of himself to be taken and didn't complain once when I took them either.
That says a lot btw.
Yay next mountain...
Send help, Lord.
Dying. Death was so near.
This but was difficult because it was just rockfaces i had to CRAWL up in my hands and feet.
I did so many awesome and some disgusting failure snocket rockets. A lot of boogers are in my hair I think.
The air just made my nose run like a tap.
I kept thinking to myself it's gotta be over the next little bit, over the next one.
I eventually got fed up and asked people on the walk back. They said we had 30 minutes to go which I didn't mind because it was now the anticipation rather than the thigh burns that were killing me.
Their next bit was a gradual decline ( I didn't realise until we had to walk back up it on the return trip 😏)
Easy to walk though.
So many people have brought their dogs - 1 dog had shoes on hehehe.
Some people brought with them their entire backpacking packs. I couldn't have done it if I'd brought mine. Crazy people.
It started to drizzle and I prayed that the rain would hold off til we got there.
Walk walk walk
Death death death
We finally found a 0.3km sign 🎉🎉🎉
For the last part of the journey we had to walk on an ice bridge- I caught one lady who landed on her ass, stood up and nearly fell over again. Lol.
This bit was super slippery
It fell like it took an eternity and that we wouldn't never get there but WE MADE IT 😭😭😭😭😭😭
There was a short queue to get on the boulder. Will was going to do it until he realized it was a 1km drop beneath it.
I've never seen him so fearful. We couldn't even go close to the edge of the cliff.
I obviously had no problem with it so I jumped in line.
The girl in front of me bitched it at the last minute.
On I got. I posed and Will took a photo.
HUGGGE TICK FOR MY BUCKET LIST 😬😬😬😬😬
I like the photo too! 🤗
And so began the journey back.
It was fucking FREEZING. I applied paw paw to my entire face.
Angharad, You will just have to go relook at photos because no words I say can accurately describe the environment. It was surreal actually being there. Breathtaking.
Ok so turns out going down is just as hard just in a different way. We both have dodgy knees and oh my it was not good. Not good.
My knee gave way several times on the journey home and I landed in my ass over 5 times.
The rain had started turning the dirt to mud and the mud makes my shoes loose grip so I went sliding down a few mountain slopes. It hurt really.
The rocks are sharp little buggers and my hands began to feel like they had been slit by glass.
Oh and my ankles hurt from walking on diagonal rock faces. It wasn't going well. 😂 We also hadn't eaten since breakfast and that was over 7 hours ago so our tummies hurt.
We got overtaken by so many people who didn't have old grandma knees but there was also a lot of people struggling with us. On the second last decent my legs were shaking uncontrollably.
Will had one fall too.
I landed on my knees in a pile of mud so my clothes are really dirty and my knees were cold. Lol
We took our camel packs with us which ended up being a fantastic idea!
I could have walked for several more kilometers on flat but the last mountain nearly destroyed me. First was up and oh my word that was hard. Coming down was what made me miserable though. It was so bad I couldn't even admire the beauty anymore I had to focus on not falling of a cliff. I eventually gave up a little bit and dirtied my pants more by sliding down rocks.
I stacked it again and hurt my elbow. Stupid shoes.
I was ok though and certainly not the only one falling.
We were both close to breaking point but we got there phew.
WE DIDN'T GET A TICKET😎
We drove home ate dinner at the resturant and then collapsed into bed. We both didn't move for a solid 20 mins before I had a shower. Our clothes were saturated!!! Wills jumper was completely drenched - the entire back and half the front.
All my clothes were wet too. I didn't even realize I had been sweating.
We looked at the go pro pictures together on the laptop. There are some good ones but honestly Wills photo takes the best.
My phone is a piece of rubbish in comparison to both.
Like, I prefer iPhones but they gotta improve their camera quality.
We are now just sitting in the foyer because our room doesn't have internet. We have another hike planned for tomorrow. send help, I'm already having troubles standing. 💪🏻Baca selengkapnya
