      Dysneylaaaaand Da Nang

      Nan en vrai C’est pas Disney land mais C’est un parc d’attraction connu de la région !
      Ça s’appelle Ba Na hills, ah non Sun World, ah non Fantasy park, bref on a pas trop compris le nom mais il en avait 3.
      On prend des banh mi devant notre hôtel ce matin pour en avoir pour le déjeuner. On arrive devant le parc et on arrive à racheter des billets en ligne qu’un gars revendait. Ça puait l’arnaque mais finalement on a économisé 10 balles chacun sur nos billets.
      Une fois rentrés on doit prendre le plus grand téléphérique du monde (5,8km) pour atteindre le parc qui se trouve à 1500m d’altitude dans les montagnes et les nuages !
      L’endroit est vraiment cool. C’est hyper mystique de voir tout un parc d’attraction dans la brume.
      Il y a des luges d’été, des petites attraction, du cinéma 4D et 5D, c’est plutôt sympa.
      Le parc est créé de base pour attirer les français donc tout est construit sur l’architecture française !
      On rentre en fin de journée sous la pluie et on passe s’acheter pleins de cochonneries à manger dans un super marché pour goûter des choses. Des gaufrettes au fromage, des chips d’algues etc..

      Nachtzug nach Da Nang und Bana Hills

      Diesmal musste ich mich für den Nachtzug entscheiden, weil der Liegebus erst wieder am nächsten Tag fuhr. Alles in allem keine so gute Idee: Für 528km insgesamt 14h (inkl. 2h Verspätung), Klimaanlage funktionierte kaum und auch sonst hatte alles den Charme der 80er Jahre. Trotz höchster Ticket Kategorie (4 sleeper Abteil low für stolze 32 Euro) war es keine gute Nacht. Anschließend wollte ich mir vor der Weiterfahrt nach Hoi An noch die berühmten Ba Na Hills SunWorld anschauen inkl. der bekannten Brücke.
      Es hat das Feeling von Disneyland und ist leider fast genauso voll ( Eintritt aber auch 35 Euro). Die Seilbahnen sind toll und das Gelände auch, leider hat es wieder geregnet und war neblig in den Wolken. Insgesamt bis dahin nicht so mein Ding, zumal ich dann für den Taxifahrer (hat 3h auf mich gewartet und dann die 50km nach Hoi An gefahren ) insgesamt auch 50 Euro bezahlen musste 😜.      Read more

      The Cable Car to Sunworld

      Our final (and main stop) for the day is to visit Sunworld at Ba Na Hills. The ride here was dynamic, as we went through the Da Nang City, then through some smaller towns, and then up through the winding hills.

      To get to Sunworld, you need to travel up the mountain by cable car. I knew that this was a part of the experience, but didn't realise just how long the cable car was and how high up on the mountain we are!!!

      Michael coped through it, but looked back a few times and felt a little queasy. He's absolutely killing it with trying new things this holiday!!!

      Ba Na Hills und Golden Bridge

      Ich hänge mit dem Schreiben ✍️ der Footprints, vor lauter Urlaub genießen, etwas hinterher.
      Nun im Flieger nach Saigon oder auch Ho Chi Minh Stadt ist etwas Zeit.
      Nachdem wir Sonntag dann glücklich bei Sonnenschein in Da Nang angekommen sind, wollten wir noch gerne The Golden Bridge in den Ba Na Hills sehen. Dort kommt man nur mit einer Seilbahn hin. Soweit so gut...., als nach über 10 Minuten Seilbahn fahren mit wunderbaren Aussichten immer noch kein Ende in Sicht war, wurde ich etwas kribbelig und meine Höhenangst wollte mich wieder mal einholen. Marc tröstete mich dass gar nichts passieren kann, da die Seilbahn schließlich ein Qualitätsprodukt aus der Schweiz sei.
      Nach 25 Minuten war es dann geschafft und wir sahen schon von der Gondel aus die Golden Bridge eingehüllt in Wolken.
      Wir sind heute tatsächlich mit eine der längsten Seilbahn der Welt, mit knapp 6 km auf eine Höhe von ca. 1500 m gefahren
      Und davon gab es nicht nur eine Bahn. Fünf Seilbahnen fuhren parallel die Ba Na Hills hoch und runter.      Read more

      Ba Na Hills/Golden Bridge

      Haben uns heute wiedermal zwei Motorbikes geliehen und sind in die Ba Na Hills gefahren.

      Die haben hier einen Riesen Vergnügungspark mitten in den Berg gebaut. Aber die Brücke hier ist einfach das geilste.

      Sun World Tour

      On the bike again out to Sun World to tick off a Vietnam bucket list item - The Golden Bridge. Spectacular!
      Then back to the beach for a swim and of course, a few more beers!😉

      Bà Nà Hills ☀️

      Unser Flug nach Ho Chi Minh startete erst um 00:50 daher hatten wir den ganzen Tag Zeit, um mit unseren Rollern zu den Ba Na Hills zu fahren. Dort angekommen fuhren wir mit der längsten Seilbahn der Welt ca. 30 Minuten, über den Dschungel, hinauf auf den Berg. Allein die Fahrt mit der Gondel war atemberaubend nicht nur wegen der Höhe, sondern auch der Aussicht wegen. Auf dem Gipfel angekommen erwartete uns ein riesen großer Freizeitpark, bei dessen Anblick man vergaß, dass man sich auf einem Berg befand. Um zu der Golden Bridge zu gelangen, mussten wir noch eine weitere Gondel zu einem anderen Berg fahren. Dort angekommen stellte sich heraus, dass die Brücke nicht so groß und lang war wie wir angenommen hatten. Trotz dessen war sie beeindruckend. Wir verbrachten einige Stunden im Freizeitpark bis wir wieder mit den Rollern zurück zum Hotel fuhren. Die Fahrt mit dem Roller ähnelte der von Mario Kart. Wenn die rote Ampel bei 3 angekommen war, fuhren alle los und ganz vorne waren wir dabei. Da wir immer noch etwas Zeit hatten verbrachten wir die letzten Sonnenstunden mit ein paar Bier am Strand und sahen den Surfern beim Wellenreiten und den Fischern beim Angeln zu.
      Als es dunkel wurde aßen wir in einem kleinen Restaurant. Nachdem wir fertig gegessen hatten, bekamen wir von den Einheimischen noch leckere vietnamesische Süßigkeiten geschenkt.      Read more

      Ling Ung Pagoda and Golden Bridge

      Second stop on the cable line was Ling Ung Pagoda, home to a 98-foot (30-meter) Buddha statue that is nestled in the mountain clouds. We then walked across the Golden Bridge, the giant hands were quite amazing. A stroll through Le Jardin d'Amour, where local flowers flourish in the mountain climate, was really pretty.Read more

      Road trip - Banana Hills

      Having pre-booked our day trip to the ba na hills.
      We rush to get ready and have breakfast before the bus arrival.
      Once on the bus, we are requested to introduced ourselves as the tour guide continues to collect fee's and signatures.

      Our tour guide seems knowledgeable as he explains and discuss some interesting facts about vietnam and the discovery of Ba Na Hills by the French.

      Stopping at our destination, we are requested to follow our tour guide as this location is big and one could get easily distracted and lost.

      Having some time per tourist stop for photos, we make the most of it.

      Having to take a cable car to the top of the hill, this was welcomed by views of waterfalls and vast forests.

      Having a glimpse at the much anticipated golden bridge, we get off the gondola to find 100's of peole left and right on this narrow bridge walkway, from umbrellas hitting you in the face, to people pushing you out the way. We try and get to a viewpoint and photo point as this is nothing like the photos we saw on social media from people being alone on the bridge.

      Spending a good 20 - 40min on the bridge for photos and foot traffic, we get disconnected from our tour group but make our way to the next attratction hoping to locate them again.

      Seeing that our guide waited for us we were relieved.
      Making our way through raindow walkways, and colourful gardens, it easy to get distracted.

      A well deserved buffet lunch supplied many varieties of food and treats from pho soups to bbq meats and deep fried dumplings. Not ashamed to admit, but I was truly satisfied.

      Trying to walk off the food shame, we head to the French village for musicals and architectural buildings.

      Having spend all our free time on sightseeing, its time to make our way back to the meet up place and walk back to the bus, as it started to rain.

      Ba Na Hills Sunworld

      A few last pictures and then we left the park. At 14:00 we had to meet our taxi driver again at the parking lot. And he was on time, but it was not the taxi driver who brought us here, he did send his brother. However, we went back to the hotel to pick up our suitcases. We had also planned to go to Hue but at the hotel they told us that it took some time to get there and by then it would become dark. So we changed our plans and prepared to go to the airport for our last domestic flight.Read more
