Driving out of Cape Town, I was told to expect something like the Australian "great Ocean road".

Turning inland, we are heading toward Oudtshoorn (don't even try to pronounce it), and it got bleak very fast!
South Africa is big, and a lot of it is very much a desert.
Up in the "little dessert" is a hidden gem: the Cango caves.
Only a tiny portion of this sprawling network has been explored, and revealed massive rooms that are quite stunning.
