Walked the Valcarlos route and met Andrea and Ji-Kyo. Brutal day with 19 miles! I kept getting lost, but eventually kept finding other pilgrims. Andrea is a yoga teacher in Germany and lost herMeer informatie
Mostly a downhill walk today. Did 15.5 miles.
Once I reached Zubiri, I met two women from yesterday. Jo (Netherlands) and Theresa (Germany). They invited me to walk together to Larrasoana. I’dMeer informatie
9.87 miles to Pamplona. Walked with Jo and Theresa, and we got to a cathedral with 110+ beds around 12:30pm. Ate pintxos for dinner and walked the old cobbled streets in our sandals.
14.76 miles to this very small town. We had a bunch of time, so we sat in the grassy part of the albergue in the afternoon.
13.5 miles to Estella, a town I really like for its plazas and children playing happily in them til 10pm.

12 miles was tough today. I had to drag myself into Logrono. We arrived to big Good Friday parades and celebrations. The municipal albergue smells like feet, though.
Bussed it to Santo Domingo (might as well???) and then walked 4 miles to Granon for an albergue donativo (donation-based albergue). The owner, Ernest, was kind and made us dinner and breakfast! MetMeer informatie
10 miles to Belorado. It’s Easter, so I think that’s why all the stores are closed?? It feels completely deserted.. but Hostal B has really nice accommodations, wow.
