Quick tour with visit to Reunification Palace, the Post Office (designed by Gustav Eiffel), Notre Dame Cathedral (closed for reconstruction), Opera House, Ho Chi Minh statue and Town Hall.

Drove to the outskirts of Saigon to see the tunnels used by the Viet Cong during the war. Some serious (but understandable) anti-American sentiments.
Drove to the delta from Saigon. Then boarded a boat before visiting local craft shop and taking a sampan ride. We did some cooking, preparing our own dinner.
Drive across the Mekong Delta to Chau Doc on the lower Mekong close to the border with Cambodia.
Then a boat trip to see a fish farm (in a houseboat) and a Cham village.
Short tour on a tuk-tuk to see some of the sights. More tomorrow.
Walk around the Royal Palace. First the Throne Room, then the Silver Pagoda and surrounding stupas.

Visit to a pre-Angkor Hindu temple complex. Several of the buildings are octagonal which is unique to the site.
