      Canberra Tag 38

      Langer Arbeitstag. Heute haben wir zum ersten Mal zusammen gefrühstückt, was ich echt gut fand :). Danach hab ich mal wieder mit beiden gespielt. Jayda ist dann zur Therapie gefahren und dann habe ich mit Jana alleine gespielt. Anschließend habe ich mit Jayda alleine gespielt, weil Jana mit ihrer Mutter weg war. Jayda war heute super anstrengend, weil sie zu 100% müde war und eigentlich nur geheult hat 😅. Nach der Arbeit habe ich mit noch mit Freunden getroffen und wir waren im Kino und haben The Gentleman geguckt. Den Film kann ich zu 100% empfehlen! Danach bin ich auch nach Hause und ins Bett :)

      Long working day. Today we had breakfast together for the first time, which I really liked :). Afterwards I played with both of them again. Jayda went to therapy and then I played with Jana alone. Afterwards I played with Jayda alone because Jana was away with her mother. Jayda was really exhausting today because she was 100% tired and actually only cried 😅. After work I met up with friends and we went to the cinema and watched The Gentleman. I can recommend the movie 100%! Afterwards I went home and went to bed :)      Read more

      Canberra Tag 74

      Heute war wieder ein langer Arbeitstag. Während wir in der Früh viel aufgeräumt haben, sind wir am Nachmittag mit den Mädels wieder raus zum Spielen gefahren. Das war echt schön, wir haben geklettert, Fußball gespielt und auch einfach Schwachsinn gemacht :). Die beiden haben sogar a cricket gespielt mit anderen Kindern zusammen :). Als wir dann wieder zu Hause waren, gab es ein Bad und Essen und dann haben wir auch schon frei.
      Am Abend habe ich mit Vivi telefoniert 😍 und dann bin ich mit Saskia ins Kino:). Wir haben Fantasy Island geguckt. Ist ein richtig guter Film. Also kann ich nur EMPFEHLEN! :)

      Today was another long working day. While we cleaned up a lot in the morning, we went out again in the afternoon with the girls to play. That was really nice, we climbed, played soccer and also just did some bullshit :). They even played cricket with other kids together :). When we were back home there was a bath and food and then we had off.
      In the evening I talked to Vivi on the phone 😍 and then I went to the cinema with Saskia :). We watched Fantasy Island. It is a really good movie. So I can only recommend it! :)      Read more

      Heute war nach kurzer Krankheit mein erste Arbeitstag und der war wieder lang. Morgens stand wieder nur Spielen auf dem Plan, während wir nachmittags wieder zum Schwimmbad gefahren sind. Es war eigentlich ganz ok, aber auch ziemlich anstrengend nach dem ich krank gewesen bin. Abends kurz vor Feierabend war ich dann noch mit dem Hund spazieren und habe wieder ein paar Kangaroos durch die Gegend hüpfen sehen 😊
      Achja und ich habe selbst von den Eltern von meinen Aupair Eltern ein Geschenk bekommen :)

      Today was my first day of work after a short illness and it was long again. In the morning we only had games on the schedule, while in the afternoon we went to the swimming pool. It was actually ok, but also quite exhausting after I was sick. In the evening shortly before the end of the day I went for a walk with the dog and saw a few kangaroos bouncing through the area 😊 Oh and I got a gift from the parents of my au pair parents myself :)      Read more

      Nach dem Frühstück sind wir mal wieder los. Eigentlicb checkt man morgens erstmal immer alle Nachrichten, ob man auch wirklich nach Hause kommt und am wichtigsten den Status des Fliegers...
      Danach sind wir mit dem Auto, welches uns zur Verfügung gestellt wurde, losgefahren zum Botanischen Garten hier in Canberra. Wir haben uns alle verschieden Regionen in den Garten angeguckt. Danach sind wir weiter zum Beijing Garden, der ein kleiner Park ist mit chinesichen Gebäuden. Anschließend haben wir uns das Parlamentshaus angeguckt. Danach sind wir nach Kingston Forshore gefahren. Anschließend sind wir zum Mittagessen wieder ins Hotel und haben den restlichen Tag im Hotel verbracht.Read more

      And as lousy as I feel right now, the title is about all I have the energy to write.

      But here are a few more sentences.

      Our slow train ride was uneventful. Although it was after 10:00p when we arrived at Canberra Station, there were taxis at the stand. Thank goodness for that. The short ride to the AirBNB at the quay on Lake Burley Griffin in Kingston was quick.

      Canberra: National Gallery of Australia

      We don’t usually do two museums in one day. But we made an exception today to take advantage of the special late closing time for the National Gallery of Australia (NGA).

      Another wonderful museum, the NGA is home to what is billed as the most valuable collection of art in the country. The website states that the “… national collection comprises over 155,000 works of art, including the world’s largest collection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art. Our significant collection represents the whole of Australian art, modern art worldwide, particularly from Europe and America, and art from across Asia and the Pacific. …”

      The museum aims to inspire all Australians. If you ask me, they go beyond that and inspire everyone who steps inside to see the collection. Good thing we had comfortable shoes on as there was a lot of walking involved to see it all.      Read more

      Langer Tag. Morgens habe ich gefühlt das ganze Haus geputzt, weil alle anderen irgendwie mit den Kindern beim Sport waren. Gegen Mittag hatte ich dann meine Pause und danach war ich mit Jana beim Friseur. Der hat ihre Haare echt schön geschnitten :). Danach bin ich mit Jana noch durch Westfield Woden geschlendert. Als wir zurückkamen, haben wir uns fertig gemacht und sind auf ins Lollipops. Das ist ein Indoorspielplatz. Danach sind wir nach Hause und dann war auch schon Dinnertime und Feierabend. Abends haben eir moch ein wenig zusammen gesessen und ich habe meime Bewerbungen gemacht.
      Ich muss sagen, ich fidne es echt cool noch nen zweites Aupair zu haben so. Man kann sich echt gut austauschen und alles. Man muss sich naturlich auch gut verstehen und da bin ich echt froh, dass das der Fall ist 😊

      Long day. In the morning I felt that I was cleaning the whole house because everyone else was somehow with the kids doing sports. Around noon I had my break and afterwards I went to the hairdresser with Jana. He cut her hair really nice :). Afterwards I walked with Jana through Westfield Woden. When we came back we got ready and went to Lollipops. It's an indoor playground. Afterwards we went home and then it was already dinnertime and closing time. In the evening we sat together a bit and I did a lot of applications.
      I must say, I think it is really cool to have a second aupair. You can exchange information and everything. Of course you have to get along well with each other and I am really glad that this is the case 😊      Read more

      Stopped off in Albury for food shopping and left the good weather behind as we drove 5 hours to Canberra. As forecast, plenty of rain! Our site on the unpowered patch had turned into a pond by morning. Our first mission was to buy an umbrella, then we went to the National Portrait Gallery and the National Gallery. We preferred the former. Quite a walk up to the Parliament house of Australia, but worth it. You can wander around for free once you've passed through security. Our day finished off with a visit to the National Arboretum, not far from the city with beautiful views of the hills around.Read more

      Letzter Arbeitstag😍
      In der Früh habe ich mich Jana Muffins gebacken und wir waren mit den Kindern im Pool hier bei uns :). Danach haben wir wieder zusammen gegessen und sind gegen Nachmittag zzm Holi Festival aufgebrochen. Mega cool! Hier in Australien war das einfach kostenlos und wir sind mit den Kiddies dahin. Es war richtig witzig und den Kindern hat es sowas von gefallen🎉☺️. Auf dem Rückweg haben wir noch ein Eis gegessen. Als wir zurück zu Hause waren, haben wir die Kinder direkt gebadet und dann gab es auch schon Dinner.
      Abends aind Saskia und ich noch einkaufen gewesen und dann sind wir noch auf den Red Hill Lookout, weil der Sonnenuntergang so schön war 🌄☺️

      In the morning I baked with Jana Muffins and we were with the kids in the pool here:) Afterwards we had lunch together again and in the afternoon we left for the Holi Festival. Nice! Here in Australia it was just for free and we went there with the kids. It was really funny and the kids really liked it🎉☺️. On the way back we had an ice cream. When we got back home we gave the kids a bath and then there was dinner.
