    O Grove - Vilaboa

    September 29, 2020 in Spain ⋅ ☀️ 17 °C

    Ria Arusa to Ria Vigo

    September 14, 2017 in Spain ⋅ ⛅ 22 °C

So we are continuing, still a bit foggy as we left the marina but thats what radar is for photo 1 so all well, we decided coz of the good weather to continue down to coast passing close to Isla Ons and into next Ria where we headed North about 12miles to top of Ria and small island called Tambo where we anchored up. We saw lots of dolphins this trip a couple played in the now wave for a while, so beautiful . We are here to visit Combarra which has a restored old town/port so lovely see photos 2,3 and 4. The next day we took the dingy 2.5miles up river to Pontevedra for a mooch round old town and to look for post office, found old town, again pretty, photo 5 is of the Church we walked up to do medieval ceiling in this one, but not post office so Nans present will definitely be late. Photo 6 is of the lighthouse on Isla Tambo. We are now in Cangas Marina in Ria Vigo but waiting for office to open to see if we can stay! Our proposed overnight anchorage in Ria Aldan, at south of Pontevedra Ria was too bumpy and as wind picking up and a bit chilly even though sun out no swimming likely, so we voted to move on. John has also apparently run out of clean pants so we best do some washing.Read more

    Day 4 at the Camino

    August 31, 2019 in Spain ⋅ 🌙 21 °C

Same procedure as every day. Alarm clock at 6.30h, but I woke up at 5.15h as at that time the first pilgrims get up. We are now already in the 100km radius of Santiago and there are more pilgrims. You even find more improvised "shop", selling coffee, fruits and souvenirs out of their car.
We decided to go the "camino espiritual", which takes 1 or 2 days longer than the normal route, but is less crowded. After the forth day, you already feel the 120km in your bones and feet and it is almost the general topic of the pilgrims who has which injuries or "damages".
We stay at a small, pittoresque fishing village.
Interesting route: the yellow arrows of the Camino wanted to guide us through the water. Later we found out, that at the right time the water has gone because of the tide.
The "youth" is buying drinks at the supermarket to get prepared for Saturday evening.

    Combarro

    September 6, 2020 in Spain ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

Caminem i mengem. En bucle. No hi ha massa cosa a fer allà, així que ens dediquem a jalar. Hi ha molta diferència entre marea baixa i marea alta. Les minicasetes són hórreos, pero guardar blat i altres coses. No són cases per nans.Read more
