  • First days in Bangkok

    2 Eylül 2022, Tayland ⋅ ⛅ 27 °C

The first days in Bangkok were insane. I was around with German, france and British people. We have seen some Temples and the khao san road as well a Night market. I am looking forward to the island because the warm wether here in the city is crazy.

Bangkok is very chaotic and dirty, but very nice and polite people are here.

I made a lot of party at the Kao San Road and slept unfortunately longer than I wanted..😂💪🏽

  • Bangkok —> Phuket

    4 Eylül 2022, Tayland ⋅ ☁️ 27 °C

So my first 4 nights in Bangkok are over and now I am going to phuket for some days. I want to calm down after drinking and partying at the Khao San road. (I also visited some temples😂😉)

Bangkok is a chaotic and messy city. Now I want beaches and islands😂.

I also tried Pad Thai and some local foods and to be honest - I have to get in touch with this kind of food..😂

During my stay in Bangkok I had a group of 5 people and I really had a nice time with them!

At the last day I enjoyed a hostel tour, where we went to a local river market. Furthermore we went by boat to a temple.

Currently I am driving with a night bus (14h!!) to Phuket, where I can go to nice beaches.

    Three crazy stories:

I saw an approximate 90 year old women, which payed with her mobile phone at one food stand.

The rivers are brown and full of plastic and fishes, which they angle for the local markets. No wonder, that you can get a food poisoning there😂

I opened Tinder at the 4th day and I got 34 likes and on Bumble were 50+😂. Never expected that & the most matches were Thais and a few ladyboys as well.

  • First day in Phuket

    5 Eylül 2022, Tayland ⋅ 🌧 29 °C

After 14h of bus driving to Puket I arrived there. Crazy long, but it was okay.

After that I ate my first yellow curry in Thailand and it was the best meal until now in Thailand.

Afterwards I had a 1h walk to the monkey hill, where are a looooot of monkeys ~(250) were at the way. And I was also so sweating 😂.

There was a girl who feeders the monkey and then all monkeys came and then she screamed😂 so silly haha

  • Second day in Puket

    6 Eylül 2022, Tayland ⋅ 🌧 28 °C

Today I had a very nice trip with Shawn, a guy from UK. We rented a car and no scooter, because we heard of people, that tourists often get fined by the polices for ~30€ in Phuket by driving a scooter. So it was cheaper to rent a car but very expensive: 900 Baht🤮🥶🤦🏼‍♂️

We went to the Big Buddha, which is 45 meters high. Very impressive! There I got in touch, that they Thailand is counting in the Buddhism calendar and the year 2565.

After that we went to Freedom beach, the most recommended one here. It was stunning there as well as the way to there…😂💪🏽

Now I am relaxing and tomorrow I will go with Shawn to Phi Phi Islands for at least 2 days.

I drove the most time, and it was the first time I was left driving and then started in the middle of a city…😂 (#proud of myself)

  • Koh Phi Phi

    10 Eylül 2022, Tayland ⋅ 🌧 27 °C

I were 3 nights in Koh Phi Phi and the island is very nice. To the way to Koh Phi Phi Shawn and myself get in touch with two Brasil girls and we stayed around with them as well. At the first day I went to a viewpoint & then I went partying and had such a nice party with Indian people💪🏽💪🏽

At the next day I had a long tail boat tour, where I was snorkelling, saw the Maya Bay as well as I chilled with two German Girls in a lagoon during this tour. I have also seen plankton in the evening for my first time!! The day before I met one of these German girls in the hostel, the other was not feeling good (🤮). She was not feeling good as well at this trip..😂 the last day I went to the long Beach (Video) and grabbed some green curry there.

Unfortunately I had to say goodbye to Shawn, because he is going to another route. But I met Holly from Leeds and stayed with her at the beach and rescued her, because she booked so many wrong thing in one time 😂.

The Thai food tastes now quite good and I am really looking forward to the railey beach now.

  • Railey Beach

    12 Eylül 2022, Tayland ⋅ ☁️ 30 °C

I stayed at railey beach for 3 nights. I made an very hard hike (because it was very wet and deep) to a lagoon (video). I spoke to many persons and they mentioned, when they saw how deep it was they tourned back. I hurted a little bit my knew because i wanted to swing to another rock during climbing😂

I made that hike and climb with tierakira, an girl from Australia. I floated in the lagoon for my first time and she was my teacher..🙌🏽😂💪🏽

I saw also nice sunsets as well as the view point of the island. It was really amazing there.

I wanted to chill at railey and had no party, except one chilled night with Tommy, an guy from the Netherlands. We played pool, meet the people from the hostel there and listened to live music.

    Nice fact:
At railey there is the Phra Nang Cave Beach, which is voted as one of the nicest beaches around the world 😉

Now I am going to the Khao Sok National Park, where I will make a tour with Holly (meet in Koh Phi Phi) and Konstanze (German, and met in the hostel here).

  • Khao Sok National Park

    15 Eylül 2022, Tayland ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

I had an overnight stay in a bungalow in the Khao Sok National Park and a two day trip. It was the best activity I did so far in Thailand. The day before I catched up ~7 Travellers, who were joining the tour as well. I stayed in the bungalow with dudley, an guy from London, a very funny and nice guy (he was acting and looking like a study friend..😂)

After we arrived at our location we made an hike to a waterfall, where my feets were under water sometimes till my knee. During this hike I damaged my swimming trunk #firsttimewearing🤦🏼‍♂️ When we went down it was raining and a beautiful rainbow was coming up. With Dudley I had an nice kajak tour around our location and a small island.

We ate all the time buffet and at the evening we played Wizzard, I have known that from Germany, but I lost..😂

At the second day we had an morning tour where we have seen monkeys as well as we went to a cave, where I have seen bats and spiders, which was very cool. During this another long tail boat was running out of patrol, so we had to rescue the persons from that long tail boat.

In summary I had a very nice trip and the group and the people were amazing. (Holly is missing on this group photo)

I am taking a night ferry to Koh Tao from Suran Thani today. I have in summary a transfer time of 15h. I am very excited how many hours I can sleep in my bed today… #lookslikesleepinginprison😂

At least I saw a big group, who are making sport at the river. Also they have machines there, that they can make Sport here. I am surprised how many people are joining these sessions.

  • Koh Tao

    20 Eylül 2022, Tayland ⋅ ☁️ 28 °C

On the quietest eastern island on Thailand, Koh Tao, I have been five days. Koh Samui is known for many tourists, Koh Pha Ngan for party (fullmoon and half moon party) and Koh Tao for the quietness and diving. I met Antonia and Aaron from Bangkok again and had a relaxed and chilled time with them. They already knew the most beautiful places and showed me the cheapest and best restaurants. (Private Beach - You should Pay 100 Baht entry, but for the resort it is free so we sayed we are from the resort.😂 at the next day he greated us again, and others have to pay for it..😂😂😂)
I was already exhausted of the traveling and connecting, so I was glad to see acquaintances and do not have a to find new close friends. With them I went on the southest Viewpoint, they showed me a nice restaurant on a hill and I went snorkelling with them for one day.

I rented a 125 motorcycle for the first time and within 15 minutes every place was reachable.

I have already spent the longest time in one place, but I would like to chill here even longer, because it is sooo beautiful and I took my time to rest at Koh Tao. also the hostel people and the view from there was stunning, so in summary it was a very nice stay at this small island.

A lot of beaches with nice sunsets, good friends and food, what do you need more?

  • First days in Ko Phangan

    22 Eylül 2022, Tayland ⋅ ☁️ 29 °C

I arrived on Koh Phangan in the morning, so after a meal at the local market (daily and until 23:00🙌🏽) I could go to the beach Had Yao. There I got the first time sun burned, because I felt for ~1h asleep😂 On the way home I met a local and a German (haha only German here😂😂) and had a cool sunset and evening then💪🏽🙌🏽

The next day I woke up early and had breakfast on the recommendation of one of the hostel 💪🏽. There, 2 Israelis told me during a conversation that a beach in the north is chilling. I went there and relaxed there all day. I also got inspired of the conversation, because I never did volunteering in my live (#fuckingcapitalist)

In the evening I didn't like a meal for the first time (yakisoba). The noodles were too floury for me 😂😂.

This island life is really nice and also cheap💪🏽

  • Ko Phangan ☑️ 🔜Penang Islands

    23 Eylül 2022, Tayland ⋅ ☁️ 28 °C

In the end I stayed 5 nights in Koh Phangan and I enjoyed the island life and the local food markets. It was the first time I was really alone, because most of the people in the hostel wanted to do their own thing. Therefore I could chill the first days, reflect the time in Thailand and think a lot about myself.

I indulged myself a lot, especially at breakfast (I had 'expensive' breakfast every day with a really nice view).

After I went to a waterfall and met new cool people, I met Prathvi, an Indian guy, and spent a total of two cool days with him.

    Funny stories:
We ordered in a coffee Thai tea and it came a pot for 5 cups each.... & Tasted good...vanilla.

I posted a picture in my instagramm story of Prathvi, but i believed it was me from the back😂.

After watching the sunset at Amsterdam Bar(picture), we went to a night market and I bought two new hawai shirts (finally!!). We ended up in a bar at the beach, which was really nice there. i really enjoyed staying with Prathvi, because in my view we share the same values.

What's crazy is that in Kaoh Sok National Park I wrote about Dudley, who looked like a study colleague. I met this study colleague on this night market, which is totally crazy!!! (Jonny from Regensburg)

The next day Pratvi and I went to a viewpoint with 50 minits drive to there. It was really stunning there.

In the evening I was taking my first Thai massage 😍. It was very good…

Now its time to say goodbay to Thailand. I really enjoyed to start my journey here and it is easy to get in touch with people as a solo travellor. Unfortunatelly i met a lot of german here, whats a little pitty for me, because i would like to train my english language skill here..

It is worth mentioning, that I skipped Koh Samui because everyone said, that this islands is to touristic and the islands I stayed were much better. [Edit: I got afterwards in touch with few people, who showed me really impressive pictures of Koh Samui)

I would like to see in any case Chang Mai and Pai, but now it goes for me tomorrow first to Pengang, Georgtown with a transfer of about 15h (ferry, bus, night train, train, train, ferry).

At the end I would like to mention, that it is legal to buy and smoke weed here. It was legalized in June 2022 and every household got 8-10 plants for free😂 I am exited if Germany will do it as well, if they will legalize it😂

  • Finally arrived at the Penang Island

    27 Eylül 2022, Malezya ⋅ 🌧 28 °C

Today I arrived in Malaysia after a very long transfer (26 hours) to the Penang Islands (Georgetown).

Fun fact: I met two Austrians there at dinner, where the grandma (60) and her granddaughter (19) were traveling through SE Asia for 4 months 😂.

I also slept on a park bench at the train station because my night train left at 1:38 and I had to wait there for 7 hours. I kind of felt like a train-Station-Pennet for the first time...

There I met Nikolas, a 36-year-old Russian who does not want to go back to Russia due to the current Russian mobilization. He also gave me very interesting insights from an anti-Putin supporter (Ukraine friends, Georgia rush and 3 days waiting at the border because mobilisation, fake elections and only ~20% are pro-Putin.

Georgetown is known for its street art, which I saw for myself today. Just wow!! I had a very cool, funny and nice afternoon and evening with Nikola (He wanted to see my hostel, so he went straight to my dorm after I checked in.

  • Hiking in to penang Hill and second day

    28 Eylül 2022, Malezya ⋅ ☁️ 29 °C

The next day I hiked with Nik and two people from my hostel to Penang Hill and we didn't want to take the comfortable train way (-->Heritage walk). The way to the Middle-Station was really hard... 1.3 km really steep and really exhausting. There a local lady gave us water and the two from the hostel broke off there afterwards. Nikolas and I hiked another 1 1/2h to the Upper Station and the way there had a lot of flora and fauna and animals to offer.

When we arrived, it was unfortunately very cloudy, but this disappeared in the course of time and therefore we still had a very nice view.

Also, it was funny that we were the only white people in the Upper Station on Penang Hill and 4 women wanted to take a picture with me.

After a total of 7h we were back down and we were very exhausted. Unfortunately I forgot my wallet in the bus because we got off quickly.... But I got it back and there were only so 20 € in it and no cards, but still I was very upset. In rage I broke my fanny pack, which is really annoying for me now....
I also met Aaron and Antonia again and had a cool evening with them.

It is worth mentioning the look of the hostel after 11 pm & I really enjoyed the breakfest everyday 💪🏽😂

  • Penang islands ☑️ 🔜 Langkawi & learning

    29 Eylül 2022, Malezya ⋅ 🌧 25 °C

On the last day in Langkawi I walked through the city with Aaron and Antonia. There we saw an annual march that impuned me and it was beautiful to watch. Afterwards we went to the promenade with some beers and had very intense conversations.

I noticed for the first time that everyone looked at us (Could be because we are From Europe and drank beer?🤨)

I took away from many conversations that I am very family and friend oriented and I consider myself very lucky for what base I have in my home country. Especially since I always have my friends and family around me and I'm now solo traveling I've really become aware of this. I am so privileged to have long term and deep friendships and my family is always behind me and supporting me through every stage of life.

Now it goes tomorrow by plane (1st time here) to Langkawi with Emil, a Guy from Denmark and the hostel, which I made the hike with. I feel like 10 people from the hostel I talked to are going there and I'm looking forward to Langkawi!

  • First Day in Langkawi, Hiking&Metaphers

    1 Ekim 2022, Malezya ⋅ 🌧 25 °C

After Emil and I arrived at the hostel (15 min flight and i felt asleep bevore the plane was going up to the air) we quickly saw old acquaintances from the other hostel. So we were already 7 people in the evening, have drunk beer and played cards and had a great evening.
Also we arranged a hike to the highest mountain in Langkawi for tomorrow.

Although it rained hard at breakfast, we went hiking anyway, because we thought it would not rain today......

After we completed the Easy Path after 2/3, it started raining very hard again (in total three hours!!). It was very admirable that none of us five guys (Cameron, Callum and Ben from UK, Emil and myself) were whining and it was clear that we were going through with the hike.

Unfortunately it was clear that the view was not good, but we rather celebrated ourselves that we got this far with the conditions.
So this hike was another borderline experience I had, as it was very strenuous, cold, windy and monsum-rainy.

During the descent, two life metaphors came to my mind about the hike that I would like to capture:

    1. 'The Human plans, fate laughs at it':
We can plan a hike or life as much as we want, it comes differently anyway and you have to cope with the unplanned changes. Moreover, the descent was not easy, as it was very steep and slippery. Every step had to be chosen carefully, so that you don't slip or fall. This is like an important (or stretegic) decision in life (choice of education, choice of studies, choice of job, [choice of partner], choice of children, choice of apartment or house and where,...), which should only be made with sufficient thought. Sometimes, however, you slip or fall to the ground during the descent. As with any important decision in life, not everything always goes smoothly. It's a matter of getting up, reflecting and moving on and continuing the further descent or life as best you can. Because it always goes on. It's up to you how the further path is shaped.

    2. 'You come into the world alone and die alone. Friends and family give you the illusion that you are not alone.'

During the descent, Travellor friends gave me advice on how to walk or where to watch out because it was slippery. Also, a river crossing was very difficult, where I could throw my shoes and bag to Emil, who already crossed the river. During the river crossing he even held me out his hand at the end to help me. Ben was even carried along by the current about 3 meters. Cameron took another route after he has seen Ben as mine after i have seen him and Ben.

In the end, I alone decide in my life what decisions I make and how and when as well as which path of life I take. My friends and family give me helpful advices and tips according to their experiences, but I must ultimately decide how I shape my life path and at which speed. Also, I can put more or less value on advice. Therefore, I tend to be alone in my life, with my friends and family giving me advice and always supporting me. (Philosophy lesson end)

  • Skybridge, Cable car & Tanjung Rhu Beach

    3 Ekim 2022, Malezya ⋅ 🌧 26 °C

With the German Alex and Monja from the hostel (already known from the hostel in Pangang and Alex from Railey Beach and Pengang) I went to the Langkawi Skybridge today, which is said to be the steepest cable car in the world. The entrance fee for this was a bit expensive (20€, including 7.5% entertainment tax!😂), but after I couldn't see much on the hike yesterday, I spontaneously did it with them.

To be honest, I got a bit scared of heights when I looked down from the bridge, because the bridge also swayed slightly.

Spontaneously we drove with Julia (friends of them, Germans) to a beautiful far-sighted beach, which a local recommended to us at breakfast. I discovered a hammock from a resort where I had a breathtaking view of the palm trees, the shimmering sea and the sun. First fell asleep to the sound of the rushing sea... that was awesome... You could also see a Thai island from there, which I found to be an interesting fact. After that we wanted to go to our nearby beach from the hostel and watch the sunset, but within 5 minutes it started to rain monsoon-like. We quickly decided to go jogging to a restaurant Julia knew, but unfortunately I slipped and injured myself slightly (bled in 4 places).

At the next day I rented a scooter to book a ferry ticket at the peer, go the first time to a barber and I wanted to drive to a waterfall. Unfortunately it began heavily to rain I went back at half of the day. Also I lost my helmet from the scooter (no. 101) and I needed to pay 50 ringit for that🤬 not the best day…

In summary it was raining a lot (clear, in Malaysia raining season), but Langkawi and the hostel were really nice. Although I enjoyed, that I had known ~10 people here quite good.

    Next stop: Cameron Highlands

  • Cameron Highlands

    5 Ekim 2022, Malezya ⋅ 🌧 17 °C

Early in the morning at 6:00 I got up to catch a ferry to the mainland of Malaysia. Unfortunately, I couldn't book any bus or train connections in advance (didn't know the right stations), so the delay of the ferry was a challenge to arrive in the evening at all.

I was given incredible help from the Grab driver, unfortunately the scheduled bus was then delayed and we had to re-arrange. The last solution was a transfer of 4 minutes (train station Butterworth to bus station there), which seemed unmanageable to me. I sprinted to the bus station and flagged down before the bus even though it had already started the motor and drove 3 meters. Wow was I relieved, but I made it. 🙌🏽🙌🏽💪🏽(Lessons Learned: Book always a transfer in advance, otherwise you get fucked up..😂)

On the way there I met Anna from Hungary and in the evening we booked a half-day tour at Cameron Highlands, which is known for its tea plantations and strawberry plantations. The strawberry plantation is not worth seeing said many from the hostel before, because in Germany there are supposedly larger. In addition, I was here 1,500 meters above sea level, which means cold weater. Furthermore i went in the raining season to Malaysia, so the weater is not the best currently.

    Next day:

We got up tomorrow at 6:30 and first made a hike in the second oldest forest in the world, which is known for its moss stocks (Mossy Forest, ~200 million years old). Since there is a lot of tourism hiking and the tourists touch the moss, it dies and it takes 15-20 years to grow again at the touching point. Also, to protect nature the locals did not want to open up new hiking routes, which I found remarkable from the locals.

The next stop would be a non-tourist tea plantation, which unfortunately was not passable, because the road there was damaged by a landslide (In the evening I talked to some, that this was but promptly passable again...🤬)

We went to another tea plantation and there the tea was very tasty. Worth mentioning is, that people from Skri Lanka, India and Thailand come with 3-4 years contracts, away from their family, to harvest the tea leaves. For one kilo of leaves they earn 30 cents, which is just damn little…

After the tour was completed, Anna was not feeling good so I planned my further route and booked a flight from Singapore to Indonesia at the 13rd of October (Surabaya) and planned the further route. (Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, Singapore, flight to Surabaya, Bromo Volcano, Ijen Crater and then I want to chill in Bali until about mid-November.

  • Kuala Lumpur

    6 Ekim 2022, Malezya ⋅ 🌧 29 °C

Today I took the 8:30 bus from Cameron Highlands to Kuala Lumpur. The buses in Malaysia are so comfortable and you have so much space in your seat.

I had contact with Aaron and Antonia before (4th location already experienced together!) and we first ordered food (2x main dishs for 3,5€) to their hotel. (The streetcar has an electronic display where you are, which I found innovative and cool).

Since both in their hotel room still had a sleeping place free, I decided to sleep in their room. So my first 'single room', which I enjoyed very much.

The hotel was also very luxurious and had a pool (51st floor!) and an outstanding view of the skyline of Kuala Lumpur.

Afterwards we visited the Batu Caves as well as the Ramayana Cave and the respective temples und statues, which was very impressive. After a food coma on (now our 😉) Hotel-room we went to and in the Petronas Tower (451 meters) and have seen together the skyline of Kuala Lumpur in the evening (also the Menara Tower, one of the highest towers in the world) from the 51st floor. What a fucking nice day.

I have seen most of that, what i wanted to see in KL, so the next days will be more chilled, because i am very exhausted of the past transfers and short stay and the tour in Cameron Highlands. Also i woke up the last 3 days at 6:00...

  • KL ✅

    9 Ekim 2022, Malezya ⋅ ☁️ 28 °C

Unfortunatelly i had to say goodbay to Aaron und Antonia again. I absolutely enjoy being around with them, because there are so helpfull and friendly to me. After that I catched up with Anna from the Cameron Highlands and we wanted to go to the National Mosque of Malaysia. The Mosque was closed, because it was damaged by a storm. What a pitty...

For the first time i recognized, that the Locals made pictures of Anna as well as she mentioned to me a story, that a guy had an video call with someone and he showed him during this call Anna. To hear these kind of stories of here, agitated and disturbed myself, because for me as a men I had no problems at all with something like that till now.

We decided to go a buddism temple and in the evening we saw mit Andrew, an American guy, the Symphony Lake Water Show at the Petronas Towers. I really enjoyed and was impressed of the show. After that we went together to a notable Street (Jin Alor) and ate there at the night market.

At the next day in KL I chilled only in the hostel and ate something and made for the first time nothing and I think because of that, this was my first night i felt asleep very late.

KL was cool, not so much to see and in general I don’t like big cities so much.

Also I have seen the second biggest skyscraper on the world (picture).

I also recognized by myself, that i should not rush so much during my journey as well like i did in the past. I need to take more days, otherwise travelling is more exhausting than enjoying.

  • Melakka and goodbye Malaysia

    10 Ekim 2022, Malezya ⋅ ☁️ 27 °C

After I wanted to chill out more, Melaka was a suitable place to calm down, although due to Islamic holidays the city was crowded of Muslims (65% of Malaysians are Muslims). After I went to a night market with the hostel, I saw friends from Langkawi. Also, I saw crazy tuck tucks with music and all sorts of kid heroes, which was almost annoying haha.

At the next day I was able to see the most beautiful places relatively quickly, and I noticed a lot of transport ships on the Strait of Malacca. The city has grown on wealth due to spice trade in the past, which was one reason of invasions of the Portuguese, Japanese and the Netherlands. [Grown trough trade because of his strategic location like in Georgetown].

A mosque close to the water was my highlight, which was rounded off with a food coma at the food court. [2x main course, 1x smoothie and a giant ice cream sundae for dessert for €7.31😂.

Melakka is a very nice and smaller city, which offers you good evenings.

In summary Malaysia is a more advanced country as Thailand i would say and a little bit more expensive as the South of Thailand.

Soon it is time to move to Singapore, then to Indonesia to see Mount/Volcano Bromo and Crater ijen. Rounded will be Indonesia in Bali and probably with the Gilli islands and Nusa Penida.

    12 Ekim 2022, Singapur ⋅ ⛅ 26 °C

Today I arrived in Singapore by bus and I will stay there for one night. In the bus we were 3 white people and only myself had the Singapore Arrival card.. what a good organisier I am..😂

Unfortunately my cigarettes at my trousers were taken away at crossing the border, because it is not allowed to import them.I still had 4 in my backpack..😂

I visited the Singapore flyer, which is the 3rd biggest ferry wheel on the world (165m) and it is 30 meters higher than the Golden Eye in London.

Also I went to the marina Bay, where I was able to see the marina bay sands. Nice view.

When I was walking around with my backpack and bag, I have seen the singapore track of the singapore GP, which was 1 1/2 weeks ago. It was the first time, I was on a F1 grid💪🏽😍 (The track is trough the whole city)

The highlight of my short stay was the light show at gardens by the bay, which was very impressive and for me better than the water show in KL.

    Three nice facts:

Singapore is soo clean and every bank of the world is here

Even if Singapore is such a small country, they have 5,5 million habitants.

The Singapore airport has 7 terminals and I think I will never see a more luxury airport again in mz life.

  • Fucking amazing day at Mount Bromo

    14 Ekim 2022, Endonezya ⋅ ☁️ 25 °C

After sleeping at the airport i took my flight to Surabaya and i got fast my visa on arrival. (This process tooks much much longer, what i heared, if you land in Denpasar/Bali). Via Bus i arrived
at a not touristic area, which what has been showen by greeting me everywhere and making soooo much pictures with me, what was at the end very annoying for me. After i wanted to walk 1h to my hostel, nicely a local drove me to my hostel and we changed numbers, because he offered to me, that he would do this again.

After connecting with a Dutch couple for the next day, we began our sunrise tour at 2:00 am. There my first accident happened, because i have not seen the sand on the ground in the dark. Myself had no injuries, but my scooter was not driving fast after that. At the end i could not speed up anymore. I really believed, that with that my tour falls into the water. Luckily i only needed to take away the sand at the brakes. In summary I only needed to pay 3,2 € for the repairing costs.

Now we were able to watch the sunrise as well as the 3 vulcanos after 1h hiking at the King Kong hill, which was incredible, but unfortunatelly a lot of people, and it was foggy as well. Because i stayed longer there to enjoy the view, i splitted up with the dutch couple.

Because of my good research, I was able to pay not the entrance fee of 15€ for the Mount/ Vulcano Bromo. For this I took a hided path into this area. (The vulcano Bromo errupted the last time in 2011 and 2 people died..)

At the crater i was able to smell the outcomming gases for 2-3 times. It was amazing to see the flora and fauna as well how the river builded upm themself in this area. Before i went down I wented down of the crater, an indonesian guy gave me a specific indonesian coffee. I meet him at the sunrise viewpoint and spoke a little bith with him there. Because i liked the coffee (well, coffee..) he gave me a new package. Wow I was fucking touched, because he didnt wanted money and their salery is not soo high..

After that i drove to a waterfall to relax there and didnt expect a lot. But Wow, the view was soooooo stunning...

It is worth mentioning, that you need to pay here for everything. Parking, Toilet,... and this is not so nice, because I feel a deduced.

  • Chilling, memories Indonesia plan

    16 Ekim 2022, Endonezya ⋅ ☁️ 31 °C

After I had a rush in Singapore and at the same night I went to the mount bromo, I relaxed in the hostel in Probbolingo with guys from Hongkong and Japan. After a transfer of 5h at the train to Bunyawangi, I catched up there two Danish girls at the hostel, which I met in the Hostel in Probbolingo. (Sarah and Regnitze). I decided to chill with them one more day, so that we can go together to the Ijen Crater Tour. So we decided to go to a beach and go snorkelling at the next day, where I have seen 1,5m big baby sharks. We were again the only white people and to see how many mens made pictures of the Danish girls (White, blond, blue eyes) was again scary to see. I think today ~20 people asked us for pictures. “No” was at the end our answers, because it was too annoying.

    Tomorrow: Ijen crater tour
🔜Bali, Ubud (I will skip Changgu and Kuta, because it is a party and surf location, what is not mine, especially partying.)

The plan is to go after that to Gilli T or air, as well as Nusa Penida. Because I don’t want to be so in a rush, I don’t know till now if I will go to Lombok. Kuta(Party) should be the end of Indonesia, where I will decide where to go next. (Philippines or North Thailand).

When u withdraw money here it is crazy, because 1€=15.000 Indonesian rupiah (Picture: ~300€)

I need to wake up in 3h for the ijen tour, so good night

  • Crater Ijen

    17 Ekim 2022, Endonezya ⋅ ☁️ 17 °C

Yes…. Because I was not able to fall asleep, I wasn’t waking up at 24:00 to the tour and someone of the hostel I met at the day before woke me up. At the end we still had time.

Unfortunately it rained so fucking hard, that we were not able so the the blue fire at the crater Ijen. (That arises, when a gas fountain blowes up at night at the ijen acidic lake)

The crater is as well known for acidic crater lake, and labour-intensive sulfur mining. Our guide was a miner. Hike 2h in a such a crazy rain.

After 6 of 8 people went down, because it was to cold for them and they had not seen the blue fire, Regietze and myself had an private tour at the crater ijen with our guide. There we have seen the lake quite nice as well as the gas exit holes. We needed to wear a gas mask because of the gases there. It smelled very strong as well. Unfortunately a stripe of my mask cracked, so I needed to hold it by my hands.

Our guide earns more money now with the tours instead of sulfer mining (150kg each day, before carrying now a buggy for that) à 1.000 <200.000 Rupien).

In summary I had a nice tour, but it was quite hard and exhausting. It was a big pitty, that I have not seen the blue fire…
