    Great Ocean Road

    September 22, 2017 in Australia

    Cousin day! The original Hailstorm!!!

Met up with my cousin Storm and her partner Xavier and started our journey down the Great Ocean Road. With a stop off to get the essentials for the drive, the adventures did commence.

    Milo Bars✔

The drive was long but there were many stop offs along the way. First stop was to view the Canola fields in Werribee. After a quick stop off for a photo op, we continued on our way. Next stop was a cute little town called Anglesea, this is where Storm and I proved how grown up we are and we played on the swings... (sensing a theme here?)

Next stop... a town called Lorne. Here they have an award winning ice cream shop called Dooley's along with the title of cleanest street in 1997.

Consensus..... peculiar. Not unpleasant but also not enjoyable. Basically a failure to achieve the salty and sweet situation.

The long and winding road did not disappoint with many unfolding views if gorgeous bays and blue skies, and plenty of little beaches to stop off on the way. My favorite by far was Sheoak Falls. A short walk through a somewhat forested area led us to this gorgeous little clearing.

The remainder of the drive was though the Great Otway National Park. If you ever have a chance to do it. DO IT! You will not be disappointed.

We made our way to our accommodation which we managed to score through my cousin and her amazing photography connections and talent. We dropped off our bags and food and got ready for our next adventure...

    Airleys Inlet - Split Point

    October 29, 2016 in Australia

Great Ocean Road - Teil 2 & Melbourne

    January 24, 2017 in Australia

Read more

    Great Ocean Road!

    May 2, 2016 in Australia

Today was a super amazing day!

So last night we stayed at Jakes house because there was more space there and I actually had my own private room which was really nice. We woke up and headed back to Mels mom's so I could pick up all my clothes and have a shower before we set out on our adventure!

After having a quick lunch, Mel, Jamie and I headed out on our great ocean road adventure! We took Jamie's car which was the 2008 Mercedes C63 which was an amazing car to drive through such an amazing, curvy road. I ended up taking lots of videos throughout the day which I can't upload to the blog but take my word for it, the views were stunning!

We also drove by this golf course type area where we saw a big gang of kangaroos or roos as the aussies call them. Next stop was Erskine falls which was a very short hike to these beautiful tiered waterfall area. Naturally we didn't obey the signs and walked right up to the bottom of the falls 😊

My favourite place we visited was Aireys Inlet. It was like a secret area of Mels where almost nobody else went. There were cool little coves that you could climb between and then watch the ocean waves come crashing onto the shore. Mel and I spent about half hour here while Jamie rested in the car. I ended up getting quite drenched from the waves being stronger than I anticipated, but it was well worth it! 😊

Afterwards we headed back to Geelong for dinner. Jamie and I were supposed to go to Mel's basketball game but when we showed up they were short players so there was no game. Instead Jamie and I kinda just spent about an hour playing our own games of horse. I was so rusty, but I slowly found a rhythm... sort of. It was a lot of fun to play basketball with friends again. After that we pretty much just called it an early night. Tomorrow will be lazy ish I think. Goodnight everyone!

    Travell mate

    February 28, 2014 in Australia

The summer goes to an end! Therefore i got to work less and i was able to think about my future. I decided to buy a Van and explore Australia this way.
Lots of research and finally two weekends in Melbourne and i found my new home - a 1996 Mazda Van with 125000km on the clock.
Also the bed needed some planning and it took me a while to figure out a plan how to do it!
But finally everything is ready to travel around!
