    On the road again

    September 14, 2017 in Greece

We said goodbye to some amazing people this morning. They are off to continue their individual journeys, hopefully our paths will cross again. Made me sad as it reminded me of other goodbyes I've had to do and will have to do in the future.
We now have the smallest group on the bus we'll ever have while a group are off exploring Egypt for a few more days.

I spent some time writing in my journal trying to sort out my thoughts and feelings. Started looking at jobs in the travel industry and wrote some notes for a cover letter. A top deck tour leader may not quite suit me right now, but working in the industry may put me in better steed.Read more

    Kloster des Heiligen Lukas

    Yesterday in Greece

Wir besichtigen die Klosteranlage bei Regen und ziemlicher Kälte. Die Deckenfresken und -Mosaike sowie die Landschaft ringsum sind natürlich so beeindruckend, dass das schon fast egal ist.

Arahova is a beautiful mountain village on Mount Parnassus, a short distance from the Delphi archeological sight. It uses traditional architectural elements, such as red ceramic roofs and stone walls. The village is largely used during the winter months, as there is sking on the neighby mountain. 10 minutes until we reach Delphi!

    The Oracle of Delphi

    July 11, 2016 in Greece

Second only to the Parthenon in Athens, the antiquities of Delphi are probably the most historically important in Greece. Located about a 3 hr bus ride from Athens, the ruins of Delphi are situated on Mount Parnassus, one of the tallest mountains in Greece.

    En Route to Delphi, Livadia

    July 11, 2016 in Greece

Left Athens about an hour ago on our way to Delphi. It's my first organizes guided tour, but so far so good. We drove through agricultural areas of Attiki, and learned several interesting facts about Greece's industry and exports. Such as, Greece is the only European country that grows cotton, and its largest industries are shipping, tourism, and agriculture -in that order. 45 minutes to go!
