One if our many beautiful hotels
We met up with our guides at 3 and went to the Uffizi. The tour was was way too long for my tastes, bit there were some amazing works.

We had a free morning and early afternoon. We enjoyed rising slowly, eating a leisurely breakfast, then wandering the streets of the Mercato Centrale. They sell mostly leather and scarfs. I found aEn savoir plus
We got to see Michelangelo's David. Wow! At dinner we all celebrated Kim's birthday and Al and Sissy's anniversary (both on the 13th, but we weren't going to eat together then.)
Checked into our room and headed out to see some sights
Leaving Venice. What a wonderful way to go!
First thing this morning we had a tour by a local guide Elizabetta. She took us though the streets of Venice, to a really fun demonstration of Mask making and a history of the festival tradition, andEn savoir plus
A rather chaotic entry to Venice. The bus was parked in a lot, then we all saueezed into a Vaporetto (water taxi) and made out we to the Rialto stop. A 10 minute walk and we reached our hotelEn savoir plus
The countryside as we left Reutte was breathtaking! Had a nice lunch at the Cafe Gelateria, and enjoyed entertaining rest stop. They specialized in oversized things like the potato chip containers.
