    Week-end trip: Yamadera

    Le temps d'un week-end, je suis parti en voiture avec des amis, tous étudiants à l'école de japonais GenkiJACS (celle où j'ai repris les cours pour 2 semaines).

    La première étape du voyage a été de rejoindre la ville de Yamagata, de la préfecture Yamagata, au nord de Tokyo, en passant par la préfecture de Fukushima.

    J'ai pu y visiter le temple Risshaku-ji, dont le site se situe en hauteur. Son autre nom est Yamadera (山寺), le "Temple de la montagne", il est le symbole de la ville, et de la préfecture.

    Le site est plutôt grand, avec plusieurs structures tout au long et il nous aura fallu transpirer un peu pour venir à bout des nombreuses marches. 🥵

    Mais cela valait le détour, une fois en haut on peut apprécier une magnifique du Kaizando (hall du temple), avec les montagnes en second plan 🏔🏔

    La photo donne un aspect "fin du monde", vous ne trouvez pas ? 😁

    For a weekend, I went on a trip by car with a few friends, all students at GenkiJACS Japanese school (the one where have classes for 2 weeks).

    The first step of the trip was to reach the city of Yamagata, in the Yamagata prefecture, in the north of Tokyo, passing by the Fukushima prefecture.

    I went there to visit the Risshaku-ji temple, whose site is located in the mountains. Its other name is Yamadera (山寺), the "Mountain Temple", it is the symbol of the city, and the prefecture.

    The site is quite large, with several structures throughout the walk. We had to sweat a bit to get through the many steps before reaching the highest spot. 🥵

    But it was worth the effort, once on top you can see a beautiful view of the Kaizando (temple hall), with the mountains in the background 🏔🏔

    The last photo has a "end of the world" atmosphere, don't you think? 😁

    週末は、GenkiJACS (日本語学校)の友達と車で旅行した。私は運転免許を持っていないのに友達が私を連れて行ったんだ 😅

    最初は山寺市。あそこには「立石寺(りっしゃく)」がある。その寺は、「山寺」と呼ばれている。
    つまり、山寺市と山寺県のシンボルだよ。

    立石寺の辺は広くて高いし、色な場所があるし、少し時間がかかった。また、階段の段は沢山あるから、登るときちょっと汗が出た 🥵

    登った末、素晴らしい景色が見えた！「開山堂(かいざんど)」の後は沢山の山があるよ 🏔🏔🏔
    今、「山寺」の名前をつけるのをよく分かった 😁

    J'ai enfin terminé mes révisions pour l'examen de JLPT, niveau N2. L'examen est passé, et j'attends les résultats, qui tomberont normalement courant janvier 2023.

    Maintenant que cela est passé, je vais reprendre les articles au pas de course ! 💪

    3 months feedback and exam

    Au revoir Tohoku. Retour à Tokyo pour quelques temps.

    Je voulais y retrouver quelques amis, mes collocs de sharehouse, et également l'école GenkiJACS, qui m'a permis d'obtenir mon visa Vacances Travail pour venir au Japon pendant la pandémie.

    Malgré les multiples occasions de parler japonais, retourner à l'école quelques jours me semble être un bon moyen de donner un coup de pouce à mon niveau de japonais.

    On arrive à 3 mois de PVT (même si en réalité je publie cet article bien plus tard 😅), c'est le bon moment pour faire un petit bilan de mon aventure jusqu'à présent.

    Cela m'a paru beaucoup plus court que 3 mois, mais quand je parcours les photos, mon carnet de messages, ou les experiences que j'ai pu vivre, je me rend compte qu'il s'est passé énormément de choses.

    Beaucoup de choses n'auraient pas été possibles sans parler japonais. Même si je n'en parle que très peu, j'ai rencontré de nombreuses personnes avec qui parler ou passer du temps.
    Est-ce que la France me manque ? Un petit peu, mais pour l'instant je ne ressent pas du tout le besoin de rentrer.

    J'ai adoré ces 3 mois, vraiment. Et les partager par le biais de ce blog aussi.

    Vous l'avez sûrement remarqué, mais j'ai très peu posté d'articles ces dernières semaines. Même si je suis parfois irrégulier (et ne compte pas m'imposer un planning), la raison principale est bien plus simple. Je prépare un examen de japonais (JLPT niveau N2) tout en voyageant, et ça me prend beaucoup, beaucoup, beaucoup de temps et d'énergie 🥺

    C'est toujours avec plaisir que j'écris, et j'ai beaucoup de photos et expériences à raconter mais c'est vraiment le temps qui me manque. J'ai pour l'instant besoin de me focaliser sur la préparation mon examen, qui aura lieu début décembre.

    Encore un peu de patience donc, vous verrez la suite promet de belles choses 😁

    Goodbye Tohoku. Back to Tokyo for some time.

    I wanted to meet some friends, my sharehouse roommates, and also GenkiJACS school, which allowed me to get my Working Holiday during the pandemic and come to Japan.

    Despite the many opportunities to speak Japanese, going back to the school for a few days seems to be a good way to give a small boost to my Japanese level.

    We're at 3 months of Working Holiday (even if I'm actually publishing this article much later 😅), it's time to give a feedback of my adventure so far.

    To me it felt much shorter than 3 months, but when I go through the pictures, my messages note, or the experiences I had so far, I realize that a lot of things actually happened.

    Many things would not have been possible without studying Japanese. Even if I don't speak much about it, I have met many people to talk to or spend time with.
    Do I miss France? A little bit, but for now I don't feel the need to go home at all.

    I really enjoyed these 3 months of travelling. And sharing what I experienced on this blog, too.

    As you've probably noticed, I've posted very little in the last few weeks. Even if I am irregular (and don't intend to follow a schedule), the main reason behind all this delay is much more simple. I'm preparing for a japanese language exam (JLPT level N2) while traveling, and that alone takes up a lot of time and energy 🥺

    It's always a pleasure to write, and I have a lot of pictures and experiences to share, but I am really missing time to do so. Right now I need to focus on preparing for the exam, which will take place in early December.

    Be a little more patient, you'll see there a great things coming 😁

    相変わらず、遅れてしまった。ごめんなさい、みんな🙇
    ３ヶ月前に、僕のワーホリが始まったから、フィードバックの時間だと思う。😸

    今までいろんな場所に行って、沢山の人に合って、何度も写真を撮った。本当に楽しかった。でもそれだけじゃない、大事思い出や友達ができた。
    私のノートにもいっぱいメッセージが書いてある。まだまだたけど嬉しい
    思った通り楽しいい。いや、もっともっと楽しくなった。☺️

    今はやる気が無事だけど、ちょっと問題がある。🥺
    実は、１２月の日本語能力試験の準備をしているから、ブログに書くの時間があまりない…

    Last days in Sendai, capsule hotel

    Désolé, j'ai encore fait une longue pause avant de finir cet article !

    Connaissez-vous les "capsules hotel" ?
    Ce type d'hôtel est présent un peu partout au Japon et sert surtout de logement de secours pour rester une nuit ou deux. Beaucoup de "salarymen" s'y arrêtent lorsqu'ils ont raté le dernier train pour rentrer chez eux 😂 Il y a aussi des étudiants et voyageurs comme moi. Assez pratique.

    J'ai fait l'essai pour la première fois dans un capsule hôtel appelé "Nine hours ", à l'aspect très futuriste, et pourtant très bon marché.

    Le système est plutôt rodé : on entre faire le check-in comme dans n'importe quel hôtel. On m'a remis un sac avec pyjama, serviette, brosse à dent et pantoufles. Ainsi qu'un numéro de capsule, qui est également le numéro de casier pour stocker des affaires. Il faut d'abord se diriger vers le casier pour y déposer sa valise et retirer les chaussures, le reste se fait en pantoufles.

    L'intérieur de la capsule est très bien pensé : lumière ajustable, prise électrique, quelques poches, Wi-Fi, et un store pour fermer la capsule. Dans mon cas, la capsule était très spacieuse, je pouvais m'asseoir et me retourner sans problème. Je n'avais pas du tout l'impression d'être enfermé 😌
    Tous les équipements sont situés en dehors de la salle où se trouvent les capsules pour ne pas déranger ceux qui dorment. Le casier était également très proche, donc aucun problème pour y récupérer quelques affaires.

    Le lendemain, il faut faire un check-out même si l'on reste une nuit de plus, et rendre le sac. On peut par contre laisser ses affaires dans le casier.
    À partir de 14h, un nouveau check-in est possible, et on récupère un nouveau sac.

    Honnêtement, j'ai passé 3 nuits dans ce capsule hôtel sans vraiment y voir d'inconvénient. Bien-sûr, comme dans tout dortoir il vaut mieux avoir des bouchons d'oreilles.

    Do you know about the "capsule hotels" ?
    You can find this type of hotel all over Japan and there are mostly used as emergency accommodation to stay a night or two. Many salarymen stop there when they missed the last train home 😂
    There are also students and travelers like me. Quite convenient.

    I tried it for the first time, in an hotel called "Nine hours", very futuristic looking, yet very cheap.

    The system is pretty well made: you go in to check-in like in any other hotel. You then are given a bag with pyjamas, towel, toothbrush and slippers inside it. As well as a capsule number, which is also used as the number of your locker. First you have to go to the locker to put your suitcase and remove your shoes: you can wonder in the hotel in slippers.

    The inside of the capsule is well thought : adjustable light, electrical outlet, some pockets, Wi-Fi, and a blind to close the capsule. In my case, the capsule was very spacious, I could sit and turn around without any problem. I didn't feel like I was locked in at all 😌
    All facilities are provided outside the room where the capsules are located so as not to disturb those sleeping.The locker was also very close by, so no problem to get some things from it.

    The next day, you have to check out even if you stay one more night, and return the bag. However, you can leave your things in the locker.
    From 2 PM you are able to check in again and get a new bag.

    Honestly, I spent 3 nights in this capsule hotel without seeing any real disadvantage. Of course, as in any dormitory it is better to have earplugs.

    カプセルホテルについてちょっと知っていたのに行った時おどろいた。「9h」のカプセルホテルに４日泊まった。つまり、３泊だ。

    思ったより僕のカプセルはかなり広くて快適だったよ。
    ＳＦな感じカプセルでしょう？😸

    チェックインの時に、かばんが贈れた。そのかばんの中にはパジャマ、タオル、スリッパなどがある。１日のものだ。次の日、チェックアウトは必要から、２時から再びチェックインをして、新しいかばんが贈れる。

    ホテルで日本語や英語の説明があるし、システマは簡単だし、少なくとも一回試してみて下さいね！🙏    Les mer

    Matsushima: Hiking, festival, coffee

    Matsushima, jour 2.
    Je suis allé à pied vers les spots les plus éloignés de du centre-ville.

    Le chemin était assez fatiguant, tout en montée, mais une fois tout en haut, il y a un très beau panorama sur la baie.

    Au sommet, il y a un café assez classe et très populaire (Café Le Roman). Si populaire, que dès l'ouverture les gens faisaient la queue pour rentrer, alors que personne n'était présent quelques minutes avant 😅
    Eux, étaient quasiment tous venus en voiture.

    Le café était très bon, et j'ai pris une véritable crème brûlée pour l'accompagner. Ensuite, j'ai commencé la descente, pour m'arrêter dans un petit onsen. Oui, encore 😂

    Celui-ci était plutôt simple, mais j'étais bien content qu'il soit là car il a commencé à pleuvoir pile au moment où j'y suis entré !
    Je suis sorti du bain raffraichi et prêt pour la suite, mais il pleuvait toujours, et il était l'heure du déjeuner. J'ai attendu dans l'espace de repos en regardant le menu du petit restaurant intérieur, et j'ai trouvé un ramen ... à la baleine 🐳
    C'est plutôt rare d'en voir dans un menu au Japon, mais ça existe encore.

    Comme je suis plutôt contre la pêche à la baleine, je n'ai pas mangé ici, et je suis redescendu vers le centre ville, où un festival se préparait 😁

    Qui dit festival, dit stand de nourriture, et ce festival ne faisait pas exception 🤤
    J'ai ensuite simplement flâné dans la ville, en attendant le début du festival.

    Il s'agit du "Umi no bon" (うみのぼん), signifiant Océan et lanterne. Un festival durant lequel on peut observer des lanternes flotter doucement le long de la baie 😮

    Il était possible de monter sur un ferry pour voir les lanternes de près mais je suis resté sur terre. Désolé pour la piètre qualité de certaines photos, j'ai fait au mieux 🙇

    Le spectacle était plaisant à observer, mais sans doute le spectacle était plus limité que d'habitude à cause des mesures anti-pandémie.

    J'ai tout de même vu un très beau feu d'artifice, lancé juste au dessus de ma tête.

    Après le feu d'artifice, j'ai marché le long de la baie en l'éloignant de la foule, et je suis tombé sur un café/bar ouvert de nuit. Le café était calme, et j'ai passé un très bon moment à parler en japonais avec ma voisine de comptoir et le barista.

    Lorsque j'ai dit que je faisais un peu de Latte Art en France, le barista m'a proposé d'en faire un avec sa machine à espresso. Ma voisine de comptoir a filmé la séquence, j'espère que ça vous plaira. Moi j'ai adoré, même si je sentais une sacrée pression ☺️

    Matsushima, day 2.
    I walked to the farthest spots from the city center.

    The way was quite tiring, all uphill, but once on the top, there is a beautiful panorama of the bay.

    Here, there is a rather classy and quite popular café (Café Le Roman). So popular, that as soon as it opened, people were lining up to get in, even though no one was there a few minutes before 😅
    Almost all of them come by car.

    The coffee was very good, and I had a real "crème brûlée" to go with it (french dessert). Then I started the descent, and stopped at a small onsen. Yes, onsen again 😂

    This one had nothing fancy, but I am glad it was there because it started raining as soon as I entered !
    I came out of the bath refreshed and ready for what was next, but it was still raining, and it was time for lunch. I waited in the resting area and had a look at the menu of the little restaurant inside, and found a ramen... with whale inside 🐳
    It's pretty rare to see that on a menu in Japan, but it still exists.

    Since I'm against whale hunt, I didn't eat there, and headed back down to the center of town, where a festival was going on 😁

    Who says festival, says food stand, and this festival was no exception 🤤
    Then I strolled around town, waiting for the festival to start.

    This festival is called "Umi no bon" (うみのぼん), meaning Ocean and Lantern. A festival in which lanterns can be seen gently floating along the bay 😮

    It was possible to get on a ferry to see the lanterns up close but I stayed on land. Sorry for the poor quality of some of the pictures, I did the best I could 🙇

    The show was interesting to watch, but it was probably more limited than usual because of the anti-pandemic measures.

    Still, I saw some nice fireworks, launched right over my head.

    After the fireworks, I walked along the bay, away from the crowds, and came across a cafe/bar that was open at night. The place was rather quiet, and I had a great time talking in Japanese with my counter neighbor and the barista.

    When I mentioned that I was making Latte Art as a hobby in France, the barista offered me to use his espresso machine to make one. My neighbor filmed the sequence, I hope you'll like it. I loved it, even though I felt a lot of pressure being watched ☺️

    And that's it for today !

    松島にはもう一泊泊まった。
    この度、ちょっと遠い場所に行くつもりだ。

    丘を登ったら、きれいな景色を見た。そこはあまり何もいなかったから、とても静かだった。

    結構疲れて、朝ごはんまだ食べなかった。たがらカフェを探した。意外にとても美味しそうカフェがあって、「カフェル・ロマン」って言った。
    ロマンは僕の名前だから運命と思った！😁

    「クレムブリュレ」とコーヒーを注文した。僕のテーブルからみると、景色がとてもよかった。

    その後、変える途中で近くの温泉に止まった。理由は雨が降り始めた。昨日の温泉と比べて、なんか普通だったけど温かい風呂に入ってから疲れが消えた 😌

    今夜は「海の盆(うみのぼん)」って祭りがあったから、松島の周りを散歩した。で、やたいの食べ物を買って、「海の盆」の開始を待っていた。

    「海の盆」というのは海で提灯(ちょうちん)が浮く祭りだよ。思ったより、今年の祭りは小さいかど、楽しかった。そしてお祭りが終わったか思うと花火が打ち上がった。😮

    花火の写真はどう思う？

    花火の終了の後、夜の中でちょっと散歩しながら、いい空気でまだ開いているカフェを見つけた。

    夜だったけど私はコーヒー大好きだからコーヒー注文した 😂
    カウンターでバリスタさん他の客と話していた。
    会話の言葉を全部聞き取るのは難しかったけど、何とか英語を話してなく済んだ。😅
    そして、コーヒーについて話すあいだ、私はエスプレッソマシンでラテアートをするのは機会があった。
    僕は全然プロバリスタじゃないけどコーヒーを作るのが好きだ。そごく楽しかったよ ☺️

    Matsushima bay

    Cette fois, je vous emmène à Matsushima (松島 まつしま) "l'île aux pins", une destination touristique de la préfecture de Miyagi.

    À mon arrivée le temps était superbe, et j'avais hâte de parcourir la baie de Matsushima et ses presqu'îles que l'on peut visiter à pied.

    Le centre ville est organisé le long de la baie, à l'exception d'un ou deux endroits, qui sont tout de même atteignables en marchant un peu 💪😁

    Le spot immanquable, c'est le pont Fukūrabashi (福浦橋 ふくうらばし) dont les idéogrammes signifient respectivement : bénédiction, baie et pont. Il s'agit d'un magnifique pont rouge qui connecte la baie à l'île Fukūrajima (福浦島 ふくうらじま) sur de nombreux mètres, au point qu'on a presque l'impression de marcher sur l'eau 😮

    Une fois le pont traversé, on peut visiter l'île à travers plusieurs itinéraires et voir de superbes panorama.

    Moi, j'ai vu autre chose ce jour là 😁
    Un bon gros serpent enroulé dans les branchages, j'ai immortalisé le moment, mais à bonne distance.

    J'ai appris plus tard que ce serpent là n'est pas dangereux. Ouf !

    J'ai ensuite continué ma route pour aller dans un onsen, Zekkei. Le bain de cet onsen a une vue imprenable sur le pont Fukūrabashi (et j'imagine que l'inverse doit être vrai, en observant bien depuis le pont 😂)

    Je ne me suis pas arrêté là, j'ai continué ma route le long de la baie pour voir le temple Godaido (五大堂 ごだいど), situé sur une toute petite presqu'île, reliée par un petit pont.

    Enfin, j'ai terminé le parcours par l'île Oshima (雄島 おしま), une autre presqu'île un peu plus grande que celle du temple, elle aussi connectée par un pont rouge. L'itinéraire sur place était très sympathique, avec des points de vue sur les îles avoisinantes.

    Ce n'est pas pour rien que Matsushima est cité parmi les plus belles vues du Japon.

    J'ai terminé la journée dans un Izakaya (bistro japonais), où j'ai mangé un plat de riz surmonté de congre (うなぎ). Un régal ! 🥲

    This time, I'm taking you to Matsushima (松島 まつしま) "the pine tree island", a tourist destination in Miyagi Prefecture.

    When I arrived the weather was great, and I was looking forward to walking around Matsushima Bay and its peninsulas, that can be visited on foot.

    The city centre is organized along the bay, except for one or two places, which are still reachable, if you walk just a bit 💪😁

    The must see spot is the Fukūrabashi Bridge (福浦橋 ふくうらばし) whose ideograms mean respectively: blessing, bay and bridge. It is a beautiful red bridge that connects the bay to Fukūrajima Island (福浦島 ふくうらじま) on several meters, to the point much you almost feel like walking on water 😮

    Once you cross the bridge, you can visit the island through several routes and see beautiful views.

    I had the privilege to see something else there on that day 😁
    A big snake coiled in the branches, I needed to take a photo of it, but at a safe distance.

    I learned later that this snake is in fact not dangerous. Phew !

    I then went to an onsen, Zekkei. The bath in this onsen has a great view of the Fukūrabashi Bridge (and I imagine the opposite must be true, by looking carefuly at the right direction from the bridge 😂)

    The day didn't ended there, I walked along the bay to see Godaido Temple (五大堂 ごだいど), located on a very small peninsula, connected by a small bridge.

    I ended my walk with Oshima Island (雄島 おしま), another peninsula a bit bigger than the temple one, also connected by a red bridge. The path was very enjoyable, with views of the surrounding islands.

    It is not for nothing that Matsushima is cited among the most beautiful views of Japan.

    To finish the day I went to an Izakaya (Japanese tavern), where I had a rice dish topped with eel (うなぎ). So good ! 🥲

    相変わらず、遅れてしまった！ごめんね！🙇

    今回は松島(まつしま)について話したいと思ってて。
    二泊だけ泊まったけど、すっごく良かった！

    インターネットで松島は日本の三景にあるよ。あそこにはちっちゃい島が沢山見える。そして太平洋(たいへいよう)も見える。
    最初の日晴れだったから、長い散歩していた。
    まず、福浦橋 (ふくうらばし)を渡した。島から見ると景色が素敵 😊

    島を歩きながら、蛇会った！林でその蛇は隠されたけど枝を良く見て、やっぱりはやしいこともあると思った。
    で、気づいた 😱

    松島は歩きやすいだから結構好きだ。ぶらぶらしいるだけで、楽しんだ。そしてもちろん、温泉もあった。
    お風呂から福浦橋がはっきり見える。だから福浦橋に歩いている人も私が見えられた 😂

    Sendai's Rairaikyo Gorge

    Retour à Sendai pour quelques jours.

    Je suis allé faire une petite randonnée le long des Gorges Rairaikyo, un spot accessible en une heure de bus.

    En arrivant sur place, j'ai été surpris par les panneaux d'avertissement : "attention aux frelons", puis "attention aux ours" ! 😱
    Drôle de combo, vous ne trouvez pas ?

    Au final, plus de peur que de mal, aucun signe de vie à l'horizon, à part une poignée de randonneurs.

    L'itinéraire était plutôt court, mais agréable car le terrain était facilement praticable. Même si le chemin était situé un peu à l'écart du cours d'eau, la vue était souvent dégagée. On peut souvent s'arrêter et regarder autour de soi, et guetter l'arrivée d'un ours qui se serait perdu 😂

    L'autre intérêt de ces gorges, c'est qu'un onsen particulièrement intéressant se situait un peu après la fin de l'itinéraire de randonnée. Je m'étais renseigné avant, et ce onsen valait la peine qu'on s'y arrête !

    D'ailleurs, je mentionne assez souvent onsens (sources chaudes) ou sentō (bains publics), mais j'ai rarement l'occasion de prendre des photos pour vous montrer. Par contre, ce que je peux faire c'est vous donner le nom de l'établissement.

    Le onsen qui nous intéresse aujourd'hui se nomme Hotel Zuiho.

    Ça paraît tout bête, mais ma petite technique pour savoir si un onsen/sentō vaut la peine ou non est la suivante: je cherche sur Google Maps (ou internet) et en général l'établissement a son propre site internet. Sur le site, on a de nombreuses informations (souvent en japonais 😅) mais surtout des PHOTOS !!

    Donc avec le nom, vous pourrez vous faire une meilleure idée, et éventuellement noter les établissements qui vous intéressent pour un futur voyage 😁

    Le onsen Zuiho était vraiment très, très agréable. Plusieurs bains en intérieur, et extérieur. J'y suis resté un bon moment pour être sûr de faire tous les bains !

    Voilà... c'est tout pour aujourd'hui.

    ...enfin, sauf si vous voulez jeter un oeil au site du onsen (ça vaut le coup d'œil, croyez moi😉)

    Back to Sendai for a few days.

    I went for a little hike along the Rairaikyo Gorge, a spot accessible in one hour by bus.

    When I got there, I was surprised by the warning signs: "beware of hornets", then "beware of bears"! 😱
    Strange combo, don't you think?

    In the end, more frightened than hurt, no sign of life on the horizon, except for a handful of hikers.

    The route was rather short, but pleasant as the path was easily walkable. Even though the route was a bit far from the stream, the view was often unobstructed. You can stop very often and have a look around, and check if there is no lost bear nearby 😂

    The other cool thing about this gorge is that a particularly interesting onsen is located a bit after the end of the hiking route. I looked it up before coming, this onsen is definitely worth a stop !

    By the way, I mention onsens (hot springs) or sentō (public baths) quite often, but I rarely have the opportunity to take pictures to show you how they look like. However, what I can do is give you the name of the establishment.

    The onsen we are interested in today is called Hotel Zuiho.

    It sounds obvious, but my little technique to know if an onsen/sentō is worth it or not is the following: I search on Google Maps (or internet) and usually the establishment has its own website. On the website, there is a lot of information (often in Japanese 😅) but also PICTURES !!!

    So based on the establishment's name, you will be able to see how it looks like, and possibly write it down for a future trip 😁

    Zuiho onsen was really, really enjoyable. Several baths inside, and outside. I stayed there for quite a while to make sure I try all the baths !

    こんにちは、また仙台！
    磊々峡(らいらいきょう)という場所にバスで行って、そこからハイキングをした。

    そんなに難しくなかったけど、入口にはクマやハチの注意があった。びっくりしたよ🐻🐝😱

    歩きながら日当たりや弱い風がした。気持ちよかったー

    で、ハイキングが終わったところ、「瑞鳳(ずいほ)ホテル」というホテルの温泉に入った。日帰りで。😌♨

    ちなみに、温泉の写真はあまり紹介することできないけど、温泉のウェブサイトには写真がある。

    Little break in Shiogama

    J'ai passé deux nuit à Shiogama, dans la même préfecture que Sendai, Miyagi.

    Cette fois, pas de grand festival à vous montrer. Juste un sanctuaire, et mon ressenti de ce court séjour.

    Shiogama est une ville portuaire, souvent associé à Matsushima, qui se trouve non loin et qui attire de nombreux touristes (ne vous inquiétez pas, on en parlera bientôt 😁)

    Dans Shiogama, il y a "shio" (しお) qui signifie sel en japonais, le nom complet signifiant "chaudron à sel".

    Ce nom n'est pas donné par hasard, en effet Shiogama produit du sel à partir d'eau de mer en juillet chaque année, lors d'un rituel shinto ayant lieu à Shiogama jinja.

    Et ce sanctuaire c'est à peu près le seul endroit que je suis allé visiter pendant mon séjour, car je voulais simplement marcher et me reposer 😌

    Le sanctuaire a plusieurs entrées mais je préfère celle que l'on appelle Omotesando (avenue principale) et qui se présente sous la forme d'un grand escalier menant au sanctuaire, une rangée de cerisiers à droite et à gauche

    Avant le repos, il fallait gravir toutes ces marches !
    Enfin, il n'y en a pas tant que ça, juste ce qu'il faut pour avoir ce sentiment d'accomplissement à la fin !

    Le sanctuaire en lui même était beau mais je pense qu'il est encore mieux au printemps, lorsque les cerisiers sont en fleurs.

    Dans la ville, je me suis promené aux alentours de mon hôtel, mais il faisait vraiment, vraiment chaud alors je me suis contenté d'une glace, et de quelques dorayaki faits maison 🤤

    Je ne sais pas si c'est la chaleur ou la ville en elle même, mais je n'ai pas vraiment accroché plus que ça aux paysages (hormis le sanctuaire).
    J'ai l'habitude de marcher en regardant un peu partout pour trouver des endroits intéressants, mais cette fois je n'ai pas déniché grand chose...

    Bah, j'aurais plus de chance la prochaine fois ! 😉

    I spent two nights in Shiogama, in the same prefecture as Sendai, Miyagi.

    This time, no big festival to show. Just a shrine, and my thoughts on this short stay.

    Shiogama is a harbor city, often associated with Matsushima, which is not far away and attracts many tourists (don't worry, we'll talk about it soon 😁)

    In Shiogama, there is "shio" (しお) which means salt in Japanese, the full name meaning "salt cauldron".

    This name is not given randomly, in fact Shiogama produces salt from sea water in July every year, during a Shinto ritual held at Shiogama jinja.

    And this shrine is about the only place I went to during my stay, because I just wanted to walk and then rest 😌

    Shiogama jinja has several entrances but I prefer the one called Omotesando (main avenue) which is in the form of a big staircase leading to the shrine, with rows of cherry trees, both on the left and right.

    To deserve some rest, I had to climb all these steps first !
    Well, there are not that many, just enough to have this feeling of accomplishment when you climb on the last step.

    The shrine itself was beautiful but I think it is even better in spring when the cherry trees are in bloom.

    In the city, I walked in the neighbourhood of my hotel, but it was really, really hot so I simply had an ice cream, and some homemade dorayaki before coming back home🤤

    I don't know if it's the heat or the city itself, but I didn't really enjoy the scenery more than that (aside from the shrine).
    I usually walk around looking for interesting places, but this time I didn't find much...

    Well, I'll have better luck next time 😉

    毎年７月にその町では塩が作られているから「塩竈」という名前を付けた。鹽竈神社の習慣だ。

    鹽竈神社以外に、塩竈では僕は何もしなかった。ブラブラしただけだよ。怠け者なんだから、私！

    その日、暑かったことかどうか分からないけどやる気が出なかった。何でだろうなあ 🤔

    Tanabata in Sendai

    Ça y est, on arrive à la fin de ma série de festivals dans le Tohoku.

    Pour finir en beauté, je vous propose le Tanabata de Sendai ! On fête Tanabata un peu partout au Japon le 7e jour du 7e mois, d'après le calendrier lunaire. Le 7 juillet donc.

    Mais si vous suivez bien, le post que vous lisez est daté au 8 août !
    Et non, je n'ai rien trafiqué, il s'agit bien de la date a laquelle les photos ont été prises.
    Simplement, à Sendai on fête Tanabata avec un mois de décalage, du 6 au 8 août.

    Et en plus, c'est l'un des plus grands festivals de Tanabata du Japon, on finit en beauté ! 😁

    Pour cet événement, de nombreuses échoppes participent à l'élaboration de grandes décoration faites de papier.

    Celles-ci sont ensuite accrochées le long des avenues commerçantes couvertes appelées Shōtengai (しょうてんがい).

    Et il y en a des centaines, c'est un véritable éventail de couleurs !

    To finish, I present you the Tanabata festival of Sendai ! Tanabata is celebrated everywhere in Japan on the 7th day of the 7th month, according to the lunar calendar. So July 7th.

    For this event, many shops participate to make huge ornaments made of paper.

    These are then hung along the covered shopping avenues called Shōtengai (しょうてんがい).

    And there are hundreds of them, it's a large spectrum of colors !

    仙台(せんだい)のたなばた祭りを見に行った。たいていたなばた祭りは７月７日に行うけど仙台のは８月６日から８月８日までだ。
    そして、たなばた祭りの中で仙台のは一番大きい祭だ！
    いいんじゃないですか？いいと思うよ。
    もし仙台のたなばたは７月におこなったら、僕は何もみられなかったから。
    だから嬉しいい。

    たなばたの飾りが見える場は３つの商店街だ。
    商店街を歩きながら何百並んでいる飾りを見たよ！

    Senboku and Tazawa Lake

    Cette fois, une excursion express le long du lac Tazawa. Le lac le plus profond du Japon (423m de profondeur)

    Je me suis d'abord rendu à la station Kakunodate, pour la nuit.
    C'est une région surnommée "le petit Kyoto du Tohoku" situé à Senboku dans la préfecture d'Akita.

    On peut y trouver notemment plusieurs maisons de Samuraï ainsi que de nombreux cerisiers. Idéal pour le printemps.

    Pour ma part, c'était surtout le point de chute idéal pour profiter d'un petit onsen nocturne, avant la journée suivante.

    Depuis que mon arrivée dans le Tohoku, j'ai rarement le temps de m'installer, et de prendre le temps de souffler. Les onsens sont justement parfait dans ces moments là. 😌
    En général on ne peut pas prendre de photos dans ces lieux, le moment est donc éphémère, je ne peux malheureusement que vous partager mon ressenti.

    En arrivant à Kakunodate j'ai été surpris par le peu d'éclairage sur le chemin qui me menait à la guesthouse. J'aime beaucoup les promenades nocturnes au Japon, mais là c'était... Presque sauvage 😅

    La guesthouse était très plaisante, la propriétaire parle d'ailleurs français et connais bien la France. On a très vite sympathisé, et même si je ne suis pas resté longtemps, j'ai trouvé l'endroit très accueillant. J'espère y revenir un jour 😊

    Le jour suivant, je suis parti en direction du lac Tazawa, en prenant un bus. Très pratique d'ailleurs. Celui-ci fait tout le tour du lac en s'arrêtant en plusieurs endroits. Le chauffeur fait de courtes pauses pour permettre aux gens d'apprécier les lieux avant de remonter dans le bus pour la suite du tour.

    La météo n'était pas parfaite, mais j'ai quand même eu droit à de superbes panorama. Une statue dorée d'une femme s'y trouve: Tatsuko. Il y a une légende qui relie Tatsuko au lac. La légende parle d'une femme qui s'est transformé en dragon avant de se jeter dans le lac, pour garder sa beauté éternelle. La fameuse Tatsuko.
    Ça explique pourquoi il y a de nombreuses références aux dragons dans le coin: en témoigne le flyer qui lance un petit défi, consistant à récupérer les 7 boules de crystal le long du lac Tazawa.

    Il y a aussi une porte Tori juste au bord du lac. C'est très beau et ça m'a fait penser à l'île de Miyajima, proche d'Hiroshima, mon lieu préfèré au Japon (c'est d'ailleurs là que j'ai croisé le tanuki blanc qui me sert de photo de profil 😁 )

    This time, an express trip along the Tazawa Lake. The deepest lake in Japan (423m deep)

    I first went to Kakunodate station, for the night.
    It is an area nicknamed "the little Kyoto of Tohoku" located in Senboku, Akita prefecture.

    There are many Samurai houses and cherry trees. Ideal for spring.

    For me, it was the ideal place to enjoy a small onsen at night, before the next day.

    Since my arrival in Tohoku, I rarely have time to settle down and take time to relax. Onsens are just perfect in those moments. 😌
    In general we can't take pictures in these places, so the moment is short and don't last long, I can unfortunately only share what I felt at that time.

    When I arrived in Kakunodate I was surprised by the little lighting on the path that led me to the guesthouse. I really like night walks in Japan, but this was... Almost wild 😅

    The guesthouse was very charming, the owner speaks French and knows France well. We got along very quickly, and even if I didn't stay long, I found the place very welcoming. I hope to come back one day 😊

    The next day, I left in the direction of Lake Tazawa, taking a bus. Very convenient by the way. This one goes all the way around the lake stopping in several places. The driver takes short breaks to let people enjoy the place before getting back on the bus for the rest of the tour.

    The weather was not perfect, but I still got some great views. A golden statue of a woman is there: Tatsuko. There is a legend that links Tatsuko to the lake. The legend speaks about a woman who transformed herself into a dragon before throwing herself into the lake, to keep her eternal beauty. The famous Tatsuko.
    That explains why there are many references to dragons in the area: as a proof, the flyer which launches a small challenge, consisting in recovering the 7 crystal balls along the lake Tazawa.

    There is also a Tori gate right by the lake. It's very beautiful and it made me think of Miyajima Island, near Hiroshima, my favorite place in Japan (that's actually where I met the white tanuki that serves as my profile picture 😁 )

    先はポストが間違えてアップロードをしまった。しかしそのポスト、全然終わってなかった
    フランス語だけ書いて写真はなかった。困ったな！😅

    今回は完成！

    その日、角館(かくのだて)に行った。その町はあまり知らないけど、「小さい京都」と名前をつけられた。
    だって、侍の家が見られるし、前のお城の行けるし。
    他の理由があるかもしれない。

    角館駅の近くにはゲストハウスに泊まった。
    大家さんはとても優しくてフランスのことを良くしている。フランス語も喋れる！びっくりしたよ！
    少しだけ大家さんと話したけど、大家さんのフランス語はとても自然だった。

    今夜、近所の温泉に行って、最高だった 😌

    次の日、バスで田沢湖(たざわこ)の周りを見に行った。
    「ドラゴンボール」見たいスタンプラリーあったけど、スタンプラリーのしステマは全然分からなかった 😅
    だから、スタンプの代わりに、写真を撮った。

    鳥居の写真はどう思う？
    僕は、前な行った宮島という場所を思い出した。
    あそこに夜の中に、白い狸が現れた。狸以外に誰もいなかった。少しづつ僕の前に近づいて、それで止まった。
    お互いに目が会った。信じられなかった🥲
