    Yoga & Surf

December 27, 2017 in Costa Rica

Genau vom Yoga.

    Markt und Playa Santa Teresa

    April 28 in Costa Rica

😝Read more

    First full day at Anamaya

    March 4 in Costa Rica

The day began early today. Fruit, coffee and tea is served @ 6:30 am. Yoga is from 7:30-9:00 and then we have breakfast.

Today it was 34 degrees and very hot! After lunch we decided to walk to Montezuma, a 20 minute walk.

Montezuma is a little hippy beach town with a lot of expats. We walked along the beach, picked sea shells and stopped for a few beers and then ice cream.

Most people walk down and take a cab back as it is all uphill with three very steep hills. It was quite the walk! We had to really rush to make it back in time for 6pm candlelight yoga.

Tonight while we were in the showers, we have two side by side, we heard the strangest noise which freaked us all out. Our neighbor heard it too and we could hear her "What the hell is that." It was some kind of animal. The showers are open to the outside but there is a door to close them off from our sleeping area. We were told not to leave windows open as animals can get in and the monkeys will often steal things. Food is also not allowed in the rooms for this reason.

It is 10pm and bedtime. Because we get up early we go to sleep early.

    Playa Hermosa

    March 7 in Costa Rica

The beach party was fun. We had to drive about an hour in a bus to get to Playa Hermosa. The non-major roads in Costa Rica are awful. So bumpy and dusty.

There was all kinds of fresh fruit, coconut drinks, cookies, and beer and wine. The beach was beautiful and the ocean was amazing. We swam in the ocean. It was warm and not deep. The surfboards were there too and some people went surfing. The beach is so long that you can just walk and walk which I did. I brought a ziplock bag with me to pick seashells.

We stayed until the sunset. We got back about 7:30 pm exhausted!

    Waterfall and Lizard

    March 6 in Costa Rica

After breakfast, one of my roommates and I walked down to the waterfall. It is down many, many steps and quite rocky near the end. There are actually three around here but we only went to this one. We had to hang on to the cable in places. There were a lot of little fish about 2 inches long and that kind of grossed me out but I still took a quick swim. On the way back, of course, it was all uphill. We had to stop several times to rest.

Going back to my room, I ran into this guy.

    Anamaya Resort

    March 3 in Costa Rica

We finally arrived at Anamaya Resort after 12pm. Shuttle-ferry-shuttle. Getting off the ferry we realized how hot it is (31 degrees). The vegetation here is different and you can see how dry it is. The last 15-20 minutes en route was down a very bumpy, dusty gravel road.

A nice fruity juice drink was handed to us upon our arrival. We got a little orientation and lunch around 1pm. Now I am having a beer!

Waiting to check in and then into the pool. Tracy is already in the pool but I decided to wait.

    Hanging Out

    March 7 in Costa Rica

Another delicious breakfast which follows morning yoga class. After breakfast today, I went for a walk around the property to snap some photos.

This afternoon we are having a beach party on the other side to watch the sunset so just relaxing right now. On the way there we are stopping at the farm where a lot of the food is grown for the resort.

It is 10:30 am and already 29 degrees.

    Nosara - Santa Teresa

September 2, 2016 in Costa Rica
