El Ateneo is a bookstore that used to be an old theater until the 1980s and a cinema until 1999. The painted ceiling and sculptures are still there.
This was a stunningly beautiful cemetery. It includes Evita's family tomb.
Apparently every Sunday vendors set up street kiosks along Defensa Ave (which is where our hotel is). It was the biggest street market I ever went to.. they estimate 10,000 shoppers every week ...
The last leg of our trip is a couple of days in (the much more temperate) Buenas Aires. We'll try to hit the sites we missed the first time - lots of walking and eating to come!
Across the street from the waterfall park was a bird conservation park, the largest in South America. It was even better than we anticipated - so many colorful birds and butterflies to see.
