So after 24 hrs of traveling we have finally arrived at Manchester airport - our home for the next 20 hrs before we set off again for Croatia. First, a much needed coffee, then a swim and relax before Czytaj więcej

Day 1
Arrived in Dubrovnik and found our apartment ‘Studio Tony’ up lots (and lots) of stairs, met our host and was treated to some home made liquor, meandered Czytaj więcej
Day 2
No sign of the overnight storm: rain, thunder and lightening, when we got up early to see the old town before the crazy crowds.

Day 3
Johnny decided it would be a good idea to run up to the top of the cable car, so I left him to that and had a chilled out morning.
Spent the afternoon exploring outside the city walls and then Czytaj więcej
Day 4
Final breakfast in our beautiful garden haven before saying a sad goodbye to Dubrovnik and picking up a hire car for the road trip to Mostar, AND we scored an upgrade to an Audi SUV Czytaj więcej
Day 5
Despite Mostar having done much to rebuild after the recent wars - there remains much evidence of the destruction with bullet holes in buildings still occupied those left derelict, which we saw Czytaj więcej
Day 6
Out early to see the old town without the hoards of day visitors, and bought some home made pomegranate brandy from a very nice man in the market.

Day 7
After a last Bosnian coffee and Turkish tea we said goodbye to Mostar and headed 370km north west to our next destination.
Mostar: 24 kms, 34,687 steps in total.

Cool 10 degrees as we headed to Plitvice Lakes - and the area had a definite ‘alpine’ feel, with road side stalls selling cheese, honey and strudel and the steep pitched roofs and huge wood Czytaj więcej
