    Tunnels Beach

July 31, 2017 in the United States

    Bali Hai

April 12 in the United States

    Kauai - Kalalau Trail

February 17 in the United States

🌱👣Read more

    Anini Beach - Hanalei

March 13, 2017 in the United States

Yesterday we went to Anini Beach, a few km South. John read his book while I walked the beach and swam. I attempted to snorkel but there was no one else in the water and the reef looked to be quite a distance out. The beaches here all have the warning sign, "If in doubt, don't go out". So I didn't go out! John was so involved in his book that he wouldn't even be aware that I had drowned.

Today we drove West across several single lane bridges to where the road ends at Ke'e Beach. We had a picnic at Ha'ena Beach; John read his book; and I went for a long beach walk. The sand was soft and I would sink 2-3" with each step, kind of like trudging through deep snow but not quite! It was a real workout. I saw another monk seal with 3 tourists far too close taking photos.

On our way home we stopped at the Hanalei Farmers Market and at Hanalei Beach. This is the beach where Garrett & Alyssa had their first surfing lesson! Lots of good memories here. Hanalei has the prettiest United Church I have ever seen.

    Napali coastal trail

September 23, 2016 in the United States

Well, well. Originally I didn't wanted to walk this trail at all because it is some dramatically overhyped. There are helicopters flying along the cliff coast every five minutes, there were driving boats along the shoreline to bring people to campground at the end of the trail. And there were of course tons of people marching along which tool the secret charm of it...

But due to great conpany i had from my two candian friends Jessie and Jeofrey and walked the trail with them. In total 8 miles return to a beach and further into a valley to a big waterfall...Read more

    Haena beach campground

September 22, 2016 in the United States

Another fantastic night at the peaceful haena beach campground. Literally situated behind the beach a wide, open grass area with parking lot, showers, restrooms made the stay here very convenient for again just three dollars!

The construction of tent pegs above the red can is by the way a present from my friends of the last campground. It contained a paste which were burning hot, when inflamed, so that you could camp without a stove. Finnaly warm food again!Read more

    Tunnels beach snorkeling

September 22, 2016 in the United States

Finnaly i got there! Jumping straight into the water, didn't expect what i found there in the end... A bright variety of fishes, fish swarms and even two turtles which could get very cloae to while they were eating of the reeve.

Amazing! And even better to catch a take all these pictures with a simple case for my phone I bought only for maybe 30euro. REALLY waterproof up until three meter depth, which you aren't going anyways with snorkeling.Read more

    Road Trip North Shore

January 10 in the United States

Vorfreude Pur ........ .......
