On to Little Little Waipa reserve for 2 nights freedom camping This reserve is maintained by the Waikato Council and what a great place it is. Clean facilities, long drop toilets and free showers.Weiterlesen
This park is quite big with lots of different areas for parking. This is a busy place with many coming and going all the time. We parked at the top with a view of the lake in the distance just aboveWeiterlesen
Moved on to Awakeri Hot Springs. Hot pools, showers, and washing machines all for a reasonable price. Called in to Keiths cousin Lynne and hubby Tony on the way. Lovely spot in amongst the trees. NiceWeiterlesen
This morning we moved on and after doing some shopping at The Hub in Whakatane we went to a freedom camping spot at the Ohope boat ramp to sit out the wet weather. It is raining now but not windy soWeiterlesen
Today we woke up to grey skies again and drizzle. We took a small detour to a place we used to stay at with the kids. These units still look the same after all these years but the flying fox has gone.Weiterlesen
Spent a couple of nights at a POP at Maraenui. This is a lovely spot with hot showers, toilets etc and right on the beach front. Keith threw his line in the water but no fish for him that day. LuckilyWeiterlesen
After leaving Maraenui we stopped at a bay for morning tea where we came across some old trators on a road trip to raise money for children's mental health. We saw them again the next morning afterWeiterlesen
Freedom camping at this lovely bay for a couple of days. Went for a walk along the beach and back through the village on the installed day. Next day wenr for an 11.8km walk to the boat ramp. The pierWeiterlesen
