The British Museum boasts an astounding collection of items "borrowed" from other countries. While I certainly enjoyed viewing, a big part of me wondered if the Egyptians wanted their mummies back.
Got a bit of a break in the rain so we wandered down Oxford, Regent, and New Bond Streets, taking in the bustle of holiday shopping and some spectacular light displays.

On our way to Amsterdam, although the route we took to reach our train hints at a more magical destination 😉.
One more thing to cross off the bucket list, take train "under" the English Channel. Bonjour France!

We've arrived in the Netherlands! Navigating the trains was a bit more difficult here due to the predominance of Dutch, but we managed. So far the stations and the trains seemed much nicer than thoseもっと詳しく
Our first winter market in Amsterdam. Pretty crowded because it was the weekend so we did not stay long.
Since we left the market earlier than planned, we spent the remainder of the evening wandering the neighborhood around our hotel.
