Oggi siamo arrivati a Lombok dopo aver fatto una crociera di 4 giorni da Flores, passando per il parco nazionale di Komodo per arrivare a Lombok.
È stato in parte un viaggio molto piovoso, la barca ha dovuto navigare in alcune tempeste, ma nel compenso è stato molto bello.

Il primo giorno siamo andati all’isola di Kelor dove abbiamo fatto snorkeling con i cuccioli di squali pinna nera.
Siamo poi passati da altre isolette a fare snorkeling e ci siamo fermarti nei pressi dell’isola di Kalong a dormire.

Il secondo giorno sveglia all’alba per salire sulla collina dell’isola di Padar, un isola bellissima dove dalla cima si possono vedere tre spiaggie di colore diverso: una bianca, una rosa e una nera.
Siamo poi partiti alla volta di pink beach, una spiaggia che è colorata di rosa, colore dovuto al corallo rosa presente nella sabbia.
Lo snorkeling a Pink Beach è stato seguito dalla visita all’isola di Komodo e ai suoi draghi!
È stato impressionante vedere questi animali in libertà, che sono molto velenosi e possono uccidere anche delle prese grandi. Loro depongono una volta all’anno fino a 20 uova, ma solo 1-2 cuccioli sopravvivo ai 9 mesi nel guscio, perchè le uova vengono deposte in un nido gigantesco ma le madri non si occupano piú delle uova una volta deposte. Quando i draghi nascono possono vivere fino a 60-70 anni e possono crescere fino a 3.5m.
Infine la giornata è terminata con lo snorkeling a Manta Point, dove abbiamo cercato di vedere le mante. Ne abbiamo vista una, una marble ray e uno squaletto - purtroppo non siamo stati troppo fortunati, anche perchè è la fine della stagione delle mante e quindi è molto difficile vederle.

Durante la notte abbiamo viaggiato per arrivare la mattina del terzo giorno a Mojo Island, dove siamo andati a fare un bagno mattutino alle cascate di Mata Jitu.
Sono delle cascate molto belle e abbiamo dovuto arrampicarci per arrivare ad una pozza dove ci si poteva tuffare.
Dopo il bagno siamo tornati alla barca e abbiamo potuto fare un po’ di snorkeling prima di ripartire per l’ultima tratta di 5 ore in alto mare per raggiungere l’isola di Kenawa dove abbiamo potuto passare una serata in spiaggia.

Al risveglio dell’ultima mattina chi voleva poteva salire su una collina a vedere l’alba, ma essendo nuvoloso io sono restata con altri sulla barca.
Fatto colazione siamo partiti alla volta di Lombok dove una volta arrivati ci hanno portato alle nostre prossime destinazioni con un bussino tutto rotto - arrivate sane e salve a Kuta, Lombok.

Today we arrived in Lombok after taking a 4 day cruise from Flores, passing through Komodo National Park to get to Lombok.
It was partly a very rainy trip, the boat had to sail in some storms, but on the other hand it was very beautiful.

On the first day we went to Kelor Island where we snorkeled with baby blacktip reef sharks.
We then went to other islands to snorkel and stopped near Kalong Island to sleep.

On the second day, we wake up at sunrise to climb the hill of Padar island, a beautiful island where from the top you can see three different colored beaches: one white, one pink and one black.
We then left for pink beach, a beach that is colored pink, a color due to the pink coral present in the sand.
Snorkeling at Pink Beach was followed by a visit to Komodo Island and its dragons!
It was impressive to see these animals in the wild, which are very poisonous and can kill even large catches. They lay up to 20 eggs once a year, but only 1-2 babies survive 9 months in the shell, because the eggs are laid in a gigantic nest but the mothers no longer take care of the eggs once laid. When dragons are born they can live up to 60-70 years and get really big up to 3.5m.
Finally the day ended with snorkeling at Manta Point, where we tried to see manta rays. We saw one, a marble ray and a shark - unfortunately we weren't too lucky, also because it is the end of the manta ray season and therefore it is very difficult to see them.

We traveled overnight to arrive on the morning of the third day at Mojo Island, where we went for a morning swim at Mata Jitu waterfalls.
They are very beautiful waterfalls and we had to climb up to get to a pool where we could dive.
After swimming we returned to the boat and were able to do some snorkeling before leaving for the last 5-hour journey on the high seas to reach Kenawa island where we were able to spend an evening on the beach.

When we woke up on the last morning, anyone who wanted could go up a hill to watch the sunrise, but as it was cloudy I stayed on the boat with others.
After breakfast we left for Lombok where once we arrived they took us to our next destinations with a broken knocker - arrived safely in Kuta, Lombok.Baca lagi

Ho passato gli ultimi 4 giorni in compagnia do Thiphanie, una ragazza francese che era con me sulla crociera da Flores a Lombok.
Insieme siamo state a Kuta Lombok, passando 4 giorni tra surf, buon cibo e relax nella nostra spiaggia preferita, quella di Tanjun Aan.
Io ho fatto 3 giorni delle lezioni di surf di due ore con Adel, un maestro freelancer che ho conosciuto sulla spiaggia! È stato un maestro molto bravo e ho imparato davvero tanto in quelle 6 ore totali di surf. Abbiamo surfato alla spiaggia di Selong Belanak per due mattine, con delle onde per principianti ma veramente molto belle, mentre l’ultima mattina siamo usciti con la barca sulle onde della spiaggia di Tanjun Aan.
Uscire con la barca e poter tentare di prendere delle onde più grandi e lunghe era molto allettante, l’unica cosa che non mi piaceva era che il mare era pieno di altri surfer principianti e quindi dovevi sempre avere mille occhi aperti per non andare a scontrarti con gli altri (cosa che a Selong Belanak non succedeva perchè ero sempre la prima in acqua).

Sono stati quattro giorni molto belli e sono molto contenta che Thip sia venuta con me. Magari ci rivedremo ad inizio giugno in Thailandia, se lei si riprende bene dal suo incidente in scooter che la messa ko per un po’.

I spent the last 4 days in the company of Thiphanie, a French girl who was with me on the cruise from Flores to Lombok.
Together we went to Kuta Lombok, spending 4 days surfing, good food and relaxing on our favorite beach, Tanjun Aan.
I did 3 days of two-hour surf lessons with Adel, a freelance master I met on the beach! He was a very good teacher and I learned so much in those 6 total hours of surfing. We surfed at Selong Belanak beach for two mornings, with waves for beginners but really very beautiful, while on the last morning we went out with the boat on the waves of Tanjun Aan beach.
Going out with the boat and being able to try to catch bigger and longer waves was very attractive, the only thing I didn't like was that the sea was full of other beginner surfers and therefore you always had to have a thousand eyes open to avoid crashing with the others (which didn't happen in Selong Belanak because I was always the first in the water).

It was a very nice four days and I'm very happy that Thip came with me. Maybe we'll see each other again at the beginning of June in Thailand, if she recovers well from her scooter accident that knocked her out for a while.Baca lagi
