New-to-us port #5 … because I am not counting Mazatlan since stayed on the ship.
Heading south out of San Francisco, our first port call brought us back to Mexico … on a day with intermittentEn savoir plus
Voyageur Not a comment related to the Ensenada stop, but I had a question I wanted to pose once the round-the-world passengers were aboard. We're booked on the 2025 around-the-world cruise on Insignia and we're going to be bringing our kids, who will be turning 11 and 13 on the cruise (assuming all things go well and we are able to actually do it...what can happen in two years, right? :) ). Are there any kids at all on your cruise? Or are we the only ones crazy enough to attempt this?
Two to Travel None yet … sometimes there will be kids coming on with segment passengers. On the 2017 world cruise, we had a young family with two kids (I think around 8 years in age) on for the duration. They were very well behaved and became the darlings of the cruise. The family did everything together, from eating to going ashore to relaxing and playing games and such on sea days, and the kids seemed to enjoy traveling with their parents. As long as your kids enjoy doing things with you and are able to entertain themselves while on the ship they will be fine. (They should not expect internet at the speeds they are used to at home, and streaming will not be the best experience.)
Voyageur Thank you! We think it'll be a tremendous opportunity for them. Of course with any family activity there will be ups and downs, especially over 6 months. Definitely understand about the streaming...we'd likely hit up wifi spots in port to download entertainment for later viewing.
Two to Travel That would be smart. The key is for them to be able to entertain themselves. And, of course, Oceania is known for its port intensive itineraries, so that presents good opportunities for the kids to experience different cultures.
