Shrines, temples, gardens and Tokyo tower. Last day in Tokyo
Visiting temples. gardens and Tokyo Museum today. Including Meiji-jingu temple. Rained all day 😂. A bit different from New Zealand weatherwise. Cherry blossom beginning to appear. Beautiful. Alsoもっと詳しく
Walk to Senso-ji in the morning followed by visit to two gardens. Then off to Haneda airport to greet Hannah on her arrival from London via Vietnam. Went to Shibuya scramble with Hannah in theもっと詳しく
Day trip to Kamakura and Enoshima today. Visited a number of beautiful shrines and temples. One of the temples has a very large bronze Buddha, Daibutsu.
Trip out of Tokyo to walk up Mount Takau. A favourite place for Tokyo residents to get into the countryside. Temples and shrines on the way to the top. Then back to Tokyo to visit some temples andもっと詳しく
Day trip to Lake Kawaguchiko, Sengen Shrine and Oshino Hakkai. No apologies for the number of photos of Mount Fuji. It is beautiful 🤩
Arrived at Haneda airport at 5.55 am. Distant view of Mount Fuji when we landed. Visited Ueno park and guided walking tour of the local area. Tokyo is big! Biggest city in the world by far. 38 millionもっと詳しく
Morning walk in Christchurch before flying to Tokyo via Sidney. Sorry to be leaving New Zealand but already making plans to return some day. 😄
