    Tokyo - Shinjuku & Shibuya

    Last days in Tokyo.

    We spent the last few days in the busy Tokyo. First stop was📍Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. Beautiful, especially the Japanese Garden. Afterwards, we spent the last days in the lovely streets and lights, shopping center and unique places especially for Anime. We walked through📍 Shinjuku, 📍 Shibuya, the famous crossing, sushi spots and meet my dear old friend, will always be in my memories.

    In the last evening we went to eat sushi at 📍kora, where you can taste many kind of sushi 🍣, very tasty but still cheap.

    Last but not least we had the breathtaking experience to see Tokyo skyline at 📍Shibuya sky.

    Ultimi giorni a Tokyo.

    Abbiamo trascorso gli ultimi giorni nella busy Tokyo. La prima tappa è stata📍Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. Bellissimo, soprattutto il Giardino Giapponese. In seguito, abbiamo trascorso gli ultimi giorni tra le strade e le luci della città, i centri commerciali e i luoghi unici soprattutto per gli Anime. Abbiamo visto📍 Shinjuku, 📍 Shibuya, il famoso incrocio, mangiato sushi e incontrato un mio caro vecchio amico, rimarrà per sempre nei miei ricordi.

    L'ultima sera siamo andati a mangiare sushi da 📍kora, dove si possono assaggiare molti tipi di sushi 🍣, molto gustosi ma comunque economici.

    Infine, abbiamo vissuto l'esperienza mozzafiato di vedere lo skyline di Tokyo 📍Shibuya sky.    Read more

    Day 10

    Kyoto - Gyon & trip to bamboo forest

    April 2 in Japan ⋅ ☁️ 18 °C

    9th day - Kyoto
    This morning we woke up pretty early to have breakfast and visit the bamboo forest of Kyoto. For breakfast we found a cozy spot named 📍Bread, Espresso & Arashiyama Garden where you could also eat outside in a ‘tatami’. Matcha tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had!
    📍Bamboo forest was magnificent, every spot you took a picture of, was just magical. In the evening we went to 📍 Gion, the famous Geishas’ quarter. The lights in the evening were spectacular and typical of Japan 🇯🇵

    9. giorno - Kyoto
    Questa mattina ci siamo svegliati molto presto per fare colazione e visitare la foresta di bambù di Kyoto. Per colazione abbiamo trovato un posto accogliente di nome 📍Bread, Espresso & Arashiyama Garden dove si poteva anche mangiare all'aperto in un "tatami". Il tiramisù Matcha è stato il migliore che abbia mai mangiato!
    La foresta di bambù era magnifica, ogni punto in cui si scattava una foto era semplicemente magico. La sera siamo andati a 📍 Gion, il famoso quartiere delle Geishe. Le luci della sera erano spettacolari e tipiche del Giappone 🇯🇵.    Read more

    Kyoto’s shrines ⛩️

    8th day - Kyoto

    Osaka to Kyoto

    March 31 in Japan ⋅ ☁️ 23 °C

    7th day - Osaka & Kyoto
    very last day in Osaka, in the morning we made a very cool cooking class with Yucco, at her place. We learnt how to cook ramen & close gyoza in Japanese style 🍜🥟.
    Afterwards we spent the evening at 📍Kyoto’s centre with the city lights 🌆 and shops.

    7° giorno
    L'ultimo (questa volta davvero) giorno an Osaka, la mattina abbiamo fatto una cooking class con Yucco, a casa sua. Abbiamo imparato a cucinare ramen e chiudere i gyoza in stile giapponese 🍜🥟.
    Dopo abbiamo trascorso la serata nel centro di 📍Kyoto con le luci della città 🌆 e i negozi.    Read more

    Back to Osaka

    March 30 in Japan ⋅ ☁️ 19 °C

    6th day - Osaka
    Back to beautiful Osaka, we finally met Gaetano & Michela, our fellow travelers ❤️

    📍Kuromon Ichiba Market is as usual very nice to try street food 🥘, and 📍Osaka Castle was magical both during the afternoon and the evening, because it turned red thanks to lights 💡

    For dinner we finally tasted the most famous meat in Japan: Kobe 🥩 How the chef of the📍New Matsusaka cooked it in the teppanyaki was unique. Every dish was accurately served, like in a starred restaurant ⭐️ it was very tasty.

    6° giorno.
    Tornati nella bellissima Osaka, abbiamo finalmente incontrato Gaetano e Michela, i nostri compagni di viaggio ❤️

    Il mercato di Kuromon Ichiba è come al solito molto bello per assaggiare lo street food 🥘 e il castello di Osaka è stato magico sia di pomeriggio che di sera, perché si è colorato di rosso grazie a delle luci 💡

    Per cena abbiamo finalmente assaggiato la carne più famosa del Giappone: Kobe 🥩 Il modo in cui lo chef del📍New Matsusaka ha cucinato sul teppanyaki è stato unico. Ogni piatto è stato servito accuratamente, come in un ristorante stellato ⭐️ era tutto squisito.    Read more

    Okayama & Kurashiki

    5th day - Okayama & Kurashiki
    We left Hiroshima in the morning with the bullet train 🚆 to get to 📍Okayama, we spent the morning at 📍Kōraku-en Garden, known for its serene landscapes. Although the cherry blossoms weren't in bloom, the garden's peaceful atmosphere was still very peaceful. Then, we headed to 📍Kurashiki, a charming town with historic whitewashed buildings. Also known as the ‘Venice of Japan’, the town's picturesque canal and traditional merchant houses made for a memorable stroll. 🥰

    Partiti da Hiroshima al mattino con il treno proiettile 🚆 per raggiungere 📍Okayama, abbiamo trascorso la mattinata al parco 📍Kōraku-en, noto per i suoi paesaggi tranquilli e sereni. Anche se i fiori di ciliegio non erano in fiore, l'atmosfera del parco era comunque meravigliosa. Poi, ci siamo diretti a 📍Kurashiki, un'affascinante città con edifici storici imbiancati a calce.     Peace Museum Hiroshima

    March 28 in Japan ⋅ ☁️ 14 °C

    4th day - Hiroshima
    Today, we visited the 📍Peace Memorial Museum in Hiroshima. It was incredibly moving. Walking through the exhibits, everyone was overwhelmed by a mix of sorrow, reflection, and hope. The museum vividly portrayed the unimaginable devastation caused by the atomic bomb, but it also highlighted the resilience and determination of the human spirit to pursue peace.

    4° giorno - Hiroshima

    Oggi abbiamo visitato il 📍Peace Memorial Museum di Hiroshima. Mi ha profondamente mosso. Camminando attraverso o referti, le persone presenti erano sopraffatte da un mix di tristezza, riflessione e speranza. Il museo ha ritratto vividamente l'inimmaginabile devastazione causata dalla bomba atomica, ma ha anche evidenziato la resilienza e la determinazione dello spirito umano a perseguire la pace.     Miyajima island 🏝️

    March 27 in Japan ⋅ ☀️ 14 °C

    3rd day - Miyajima island
    we took the bullet train (Shinkansen) from Osaka to Hiroshima
    and visited 📍Miyajima island 🏝️ which is pretty easy to reach from Hiroshima by ferry ⛴️. Miyajima was unique. Full of nature, beautiful buddhist temple and the iconic 📍Itsukushima Shrine ⛩️. Fortunately we had low tide and could walk right to the statue. Magic 🪄 Last but not least, reindeer kept us company❤️

    3° giorno: abbiamo preso il treno proiettile (Shinkansen) da Osaka a Hiroshima e visitato l'isola 📍Miyajima 🏝️ che è abbastanza facile da raggiungere da Hiroshima in traghetto ⛴️. Miyajima era unica. Piena di natura, c’era un bellissimo tempio buddista e l'iconico santuario 📍Itsukushima ⛩️. Fortunatamente c’era la bassa marea e potevamo camminare fino alla statua.     2nd day Osaka

    March 26 in Japan ⋅ 🌧 14 °C

    Day 2, special breakfast in cozy home-style cafe 🍵 very tasty (📍Cafe de Izumi) .

    Since it was a rainy day, we decided to spend some hours in the 📍Aquarium of Osaka, one of the biggest in the world. 🗺️

    During the afternoon there were some sprinklers of sun, so we ran to 📍Nara park where you can see reindeers 🦌 and amazing temple ⛩️. For dinner we had spectacular ramen at 📍Hanamaruken in Namba.

    Giorno 2, colazione speciale in un accogliente bar in stile casalingo 🍵 Era molto gustoso 📍Cafe de Izumi.

    Dato che pioveva, abbiamo deciso di trascorrere qualche ora 📍all’Acquario di Osaka, uno dei più grandi al mondo.

    Nel pomeriggio c'erano alcuni sprazzi di sole, quindi siamo corsi al parco di📍 Nara dove puoi vedere le renne 🦌 e templi meravigliosi (purtroppo eravamo in ritardo e erano già chiusi). Per cena Ramen fantastici a 📍Hanamaruken Namba.    Read more

    Osaka city centre & market

    March 25 in Japan ⋅ ☁️ 14 °C

    1st stop: Osaka 😍
    City full of life and restaurants. You will not starve yourself. Particularly, the market was very unique and street food amazing & cheap. Takoyaki is something you need to try if you like octopus. 🐙 For dinner we had Japanese BBQ at Gyu-Kaku Namba-sennichimae, where for CHF 25 per person we had all you can eat menu. Spectacular 😍

    Città piena di vita e di ristoranti. Non morirete di fame. In particolare, il mercato era davvero unico e il cibo di strada incredibile ed economico. Il Takoyaki è qualcosa che dovete provare se vi piace il polpo. 🐙 Per cena siamo stati a Gyu-Kaku Namba-sennichimae, BBQ giapponese, 25.- all you can eat. Buonissimo 😍    Read more
