On the morning of day 9 we went to space by accident. We got up in Texas City brushed teeth and ate in the lobby. We suited up and got about thirty miles before we saw the Houston/Johnson SpaceLue lisää
We rolled out of the awesome San Antonio KOA early and hit the road for Galveston Island via Houston. Travel was slow today and it was hot and muggy. Progress was slow. We finally got to Houston byLue lisää
Gwen and I stayed at the sketchy Whites City RV park last night and took off for the park at 7:30 to try and get into the cavern by 8:30. It's already like 80 F when we get to the park. Gwen suckersLue lisää
Back on the road for Bishop and the sky looks dirty. We make a wise decision and pull off the road to get the rain coats and gaiters on. Just in time, and we ride the rain for 1/2 hour into Bishop.
There have been a ton of cyclists going both ways. We roll on about 1:30 and head for Monitor Pass. It is a sweet motorcycle route, but I pity the poor fools pedaling up the grade. It is actually coolLue lisää
