First day on the road! We collected our home for the next 3 weeks and headed to the Coromandel Peninsula. We threw ourselves into the deep end for the first night and opted for some freedom campingЧитать далее
A failed attempt at hiking the Coromandel Pinnacles (severe weather) the information guide suggested Wairere Falls, the tallest waterfall in the north island.

After a night of freedom camping a shower was necessary so we decided to pay for the luxury of a holiday park.

Lake Taupō was temporarily closed for maintenance - well, the weather was so bad you couldn’t actually see the lake. Therefore, we continued down to National Park instead.

Waking up from our cryo chamber we hoped to warm up by going for a hike around Tongariro National Park, it didn’t work.

Upper Hutt acted as a stop over before reaching Wellington. It’s known for hosting locations in the Lord of the Rings movies - unfortunately for us that means absolutely nothing as neither of usЧитать далее
